After flashing stock ROM, I faced unknown baseband issue. Then, restored a working qcn of other k6 power device. But, after that IMEI and Serial Number got changed. I changed the IMEI number using some tool. Is there a way to change the serial number too?

For this you have to relock bootloader unroot and downgrade to marshmallow
then only you can flash qcn as diag mode has to be enabled for qcn flashing via qpst tool,
and only marshmallow can Reed your port in diag mode and then only qcn file can be flashed
So steps will be
1 relock bootloader and unroot
2 flash stock marshmallow with qfil tool
3 open phone i diag mode ( vol. up + power)
4 the blue screen is the diag mode
5 then flash qcn with qpst tool

Hello Sir,
I have lenovo phab pb1 750 m snapdragon 410 device
I was on marshmallow and flashed lollipop stock and lost device ID like imei , SN, pn..I have all of them I just can't write..I am in Marshmallow currently rooted and bootloader unlocked..
But qpst gives a read only error while writing Changed RF and NV items to phone.
Is their a fix please let me know
Also what is right way to connect phone for qpst I connect in switched on mode and using minimal adb and fastboot I gain root access then only com port is available and my phone will be listed under active phones tab in qpst.
Also com port shows in edl mode but than qpst does not detect active phone only detect as a port.
Please if their is a way let me know.

Try this...
Install twrp and root your phone if you haven't already.
adb shell
su setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb
Put phone in ptp mode for the USB setting, you should now have diagnostic mode engaged.
If not, play with the USB settings and the setprop command.
As for the actual flashing of a new imei, you must first zero out your modemst1 and modemst2 partitions.
Boot into recovery, and use the shell for something like...
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/device/by-name/modemst1
Take a look in your /dev/ folder, you'll figure out what the path is.
Repeat for modemst2
Make a qcn of the zeroed partitions, copy it multiple times in order to always have a zeroed backup.
Write to the zeroed partitions multiple times with the same data.
Meid will write before the imei so you should expect to see it first.
Power cycle your device and behold the greatness of RTFM-ing qpst.

After flashing multiple roms & testing, my IMEI is ZERO! Even after I inject new IMEI which I copied from back of battery compartment, I still could not get any network connection (emergency calls only).
If you own the same model & region as mine (ZE550KL z00ld ww), please donate your working QCN to me! I have troubleshoot this issue for the past 48 hours without any improvement, a search yields many phone owners with the same problem. Some cannot get 3G/4G anymore and are stuck on EDGE/2G. My country's 2G infrastructure will be taken down in 3 months time.
This problem could be due to ROM flashing, OTA upgrades, selecting RADIO BAND to USA when living in another country, deleting the modemst1/st2 files etc etc
You may want to replace your IMEI with some arbitary numbers 1199119911991199 or something, even if you don't input any numbers, I will use my own IMEI. IMEI is stored at NVram item 550, just exclude it from the file.

u just have to put the phone in DIAG mode (adb shell -> su -> setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb), any CM13 rom will do
install qualcomm drivers
launch qpst
make a QCN BACKUP file
then use a hex editor to edit your IMEIs to 111111111111111111 and attach the files here
that's it, the file is around 700kb only
i find it hard to believe no one else except me need this file.
If u are an avid custom rom flasher, u need this file too!!!! coz its simply too easy! to bork values in the nvram, just by flashing nightlies, ota updates or just trying a new rom, and there are many roms to try here
btw: I found 2 copies of RAW/SERVICE ROM firmware for ZE550KL, it's vital to revive any hard bricks due to partition failure of any kind, will post links later after I find the original links again
Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE550KL (Z00LD, WW) SERVICE ROM or FIRMWARE
Service rom/firmware is vital to recovery from any type of partition failure, it is flashed using Asus Flash Tool (AFT). Note that this is different from the usual Asus ROM upgrades. If AFT fails for whatever reason, simply unzip the file and run flashall_AFT.cmd, it's a simple batch file.

did u flash the modem, i don't have much knowledge, but i got networks after the modem flashing
nothing worked except a working qcn file (ze550kl), heck i even tried flashing qcn from lenovo/xiaomi which has the same snapdragon chipset, didn't work, radio is dead.

How To Fix Unknown Baseband In Qualcomm Based Phones.
Today 8 out of 10 device by Qualcomm in market and there is one common problem in Qualcomm based phones which is Unknown BaseBand.
Some try to flash phone and some write modems or radio but mostly have no idea why baseband got unknown.
I'm not here just giving solution for Baseband i will tell you reason of this too so you can easily fix whenever you will get device for same.
Reason of unknown baseband & Solution :~
Wrong firmware flashed on device - after flash wrong firmware there is chance to lost baseband because maybe the older firmware look for baseband in c drive (just an example, the author meant 'looking for baseband in the wrong location') and your flashed firmware search it in d drive so you will get unknown baseband cause of wrong path of EFS in firmware, so you can easily fix it by flashing (meaning stock rom)
Corrupted EFS so to fix corrupted EFS you have to erase EFS partition which is MODEMST1, MODEMST2, FSG, please backup these partition first before erase or just erase MODEMST1 and MODEMST2 its safe as FSG is golden copy for them. (FSG is actually a backup of MODEMST1 & 2, golden copy meaning if phone detects erased/zeroed modemst1/2, it will auto copy FSG to modemst1/2)
You can erase partition in fastboot like this "fastboot erase modemst1" and same for other just change partition name,this partition can be erase by adb too as boxes (professional repair kits) do but you will need root and some advance skills
Some time EFS not corrupted, its erased so you can not fixed it by point (2) so you need a working QCN from other working phone (same model) to restore EFS partition.
In order to read and write qcn you need 1 tools QPST ,there is lots of tutorials on net how to read qcn so i will not gonna tell you here same thing so i will cover only important part.
To read write qcn you need qualcomm DIAG port to be enabled and its depend on phone, some phone can enable this just by code and some need root, after root you can use my tool rbsoft mobile tool to enable diag port.
(For enabling DIAG port on ZE550KL, just go adb shell -> su -> setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb Need to disable Windows driver signing first, install Qualcomm drivers to work )
Now you can read and write qcn and you will get your baseband and imei back
To make your work easy i attached QCN in my post for latest phone which come daily on every shop now day.
keep in mind all qcn imei i removed and now its 35000000 (false IMEI) so edit & input your imei with hex editor.

I've sideloaded the Fastboot ROM of 8.1.10 Oreo from Xiaomi and because of choosing the wrong script (flash_factory.bat) without reading instructions, i lost the IMEI of my phone. I've recovered the /persist partition, so there's no problem with the WiFi or the BT connectivity. But i tried a lot of times to recover the IMEI from the phone with QPST and there's no ressult.
So i was wondering if someone can help me with an EFS backup, to try to recover with this the IMEI of my Phone.
The instructions detailled in the other threads about "lost imei" worked, but only with the persist partition, but still no work for the IMEI and baseband.
Please help
If you didn't backup the partition where are located the IMEI,before to flash anything... I think that is unrecoverable...
Maybe with flashpoint,i don't know certanly... but is a big problem that... for sure

All tools to change the imei are banned on this site as they are illegal to even own in many countries.
There are only 2 ways allowed on xda.
1. Restore the backed up efs
2. Return to the oem to be repaired where they will charge you for a new mother board.

To Enable Diag Mode , you need to follow the steps :
1. dial : *#*#717717#*#*
2.Enable USB Debug
3.Connect to the phone
4.Run WriteDualIMEI(W+G_eMMC) as admin
5.Write your ORIGINAL IMEI Note: Change IMEI is illegal
6.Success , Dial *#*#717717#*#* to disable Diag USB PORT
7.Reboot

Are you on Oreo ? or Nougat ? I tried all the rom won't work except 7.8.23 Build (first and buggy ROM)
if you tried my method still fail i suggest you to restore using qcn backup , which i personally made for you ( With your IMEI)
but i wont share here but through PM .

3.reboot into fastboot mode , erase modemst1 and modemst2 .
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
4. reboot
5. go to phone , enter *#*#717717#*#*
6.got to settings enable USB Debugging (ADB)
7. disconnect your phone n connect it back
8.Use WriteDualIMEI(W+G_eMMC) Remember run as administrator , enter your IMEI .
9.if success , go to phone enter *#*#717717#*#* to disable the diag port
10. reboot

the phone freezes upon dialing the *#*#717717#*#* but
can (only) boot to diag mode from fastboot and then "fastboot oem edl". I see the top led blinking in white.
I get stuck in step8 - despite my phone diag port is being recognized in device manage and WriteDualIMEI/QFIL, I get
a big FAIL.
In QFIL I can see the phone is recognized but is not responding to coms.
I tried to change the qualcomm driver to various 9XXX models, com ports, settings etc.
Tried to change fastboot rom versions to 8.XX as well. didn't make a difference.
tried to setprop usb mode to diag from twrp terminal as well.
How did you guys resolve it?

if you tried my method still fail i suggest you to restore using qcn backup , which i personally made for you ( With your IMEI)

Ok, IMEI is back. Unfortunately, if I update software I loose it again after first reboot. Will all of us have to stick to the very buggy August ROM forever? Anyone found a workaround for this?

I also locked the bootloader of 8916 and lost my imei as well as serial no. And volte.What i did was just recover the imei an serial no and then flashed the marshmallow beta version which allowed me to flash twrp and then i finally flashed the aim rom and then flashed the indian moden in 8196 and voilla volte started working.This method took me around a month

Brother i have lost my imei and serial no ...no network no calls ...unable to unlock bootloader mine is 8939...can u help please

1)download the qcn file https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=745849072291683005
(if this qcn file doenot work just google and download the othere qcn file for 8939
2)google how to restore qcn file(will involve opening diag port and ****)
3)and voilla your imei no. will be back
4)to restore your serial no. (root and terminal emulator must be installed), type in terminal emulator:-
1. su
2. dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/factorybak of=/sdcard/factory
Wait a sec...
3. dd if=/sdcard/factory of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/factory
and simply restart
i am afraid that i cannot help you with the unlocking bootloader, there is no way to re unlock it, with 8916 there is a beta rom which has a bug in its fastboot which allows you to flash twrp without even unlocking bootloader .but i m afraid there is no such rom for 8939.But you can try and find one,just like i found the beta rom after a month

Not able to flash twrp recovery not able to root my device because bootloader is locked....have u any solution to root my device ....
I was having issues with my m3 (it was stuck in edl mode). after waking up I flashed the latest mi fastboot rom with mi flash tool and now I get a corrupt nv_data error and phone reboots in recovery mode.
I've been reading about it and it seams this is a result from a corrupt efs partition as I don't have a backup of efs,
as far as I've read the fix is in deleting modem files
adb shell dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst1adb shell dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst2adb shell dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/fsgand then editing qcn with qpst tool.
qpst tool requires edl mode and I just got my phone out of edl, and I'm not even sure how to get into edl without opening the back cover.
does anyone have more information about this nv_error issue, does someone have a link to or can share an efs backup of m3.
I've read some posts here about people with similar issues however I can't seam to find a guide on how to fix this nv_error issue.
I took my device to the local mi service centre (they're a xiomi partner and representatives for my country not xiaomi themself) and the guy there wanted to replace my mother board but they didn't have m3 on stock but they guy knew hardware bad had no idea what magisk was so I'm not too keen on their sugestions.
trying to erase efs from adb returns an error

what am I donig wrong how do I null these partitions?
An update, it seams that dd from adb cannot be done on more recent devices as they expect an image to write to those partition not zeros but those partitions can be nulled from fast boot
fastboot erase modemst1fastboot erase modemst2I did this, as standard rom couldn't boot I flashed engineering rom and with qpst I managed to reset my IMEI, the device works as expected in engineering rom ie both sim slots work, wifi,bt and 2g/3g/4g work but after reflashing release rom from both fastboot (miflash tool) and twrp (orange fox) the phone refuses to boot and in stock recovery I get the error message nv_error.
Any ideas what to do next, as installing engineering rom is not a real solution as that is not a production release as it has only debug tools not even an apk installer.
Reading posts here it would seam that snapdragon devices have an nv_data.bin file inside the /efs partition

after thinking if engineering rom worked why not flash only engineering modem image not whole OS

fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.binthe device boots, both IMEI are lost and the phone wants to update to miui 12.5.9.0 as far as I can tell there is no update to the modem, afer the update I'll try and restore imei.
this doesn't seam legit if engineering rom boots why do I get a corrupt nv with production rom
after updating miui the phone refused to boot with courupt nv_data
after reflashing engineering modem and twrp,installing magisk and resetting my imei with qpst my network kind of works.
Wifi, bt work fine, 4g works (assuming 3g also works) but 2g does not.
Any ideas? Maybe the error was somewhere else not the modem, not really sure what to try next?
Should I try flashing the entire rom from edl mode with qfl
