Im going to start porting roms but i need your help

Hello every one , I'm going to start porting ROMs however I need your help as I don't own a Samsung j5 ( I use my mums ) I need someone to find or tell me the nearest phone spec wise to the j5 thank you for your time

Better use Galaxy Grand Prime. It has a ton of stable roms with 0 bugs. Nd yeah obviously same specs. :good:
Porting Nougat nd booting it up is hard. Tell me if you're successful.

MM Kernel Build Request

Hello All,
I'm from the GrandPrime Forums. Can any of you build a MarshMallow Touchwiz Kernel for our device. Unfortunately, our latest official update had been Lollipop. I've already Build the ROM zip and named it "Galaxy J5 Hybrid"! But i have no progress on building the Kernel. Please, would anyone build the kernel for me?

Hoping you would help me... to build the MM kernel for my Galaxy Grand Prime.

I bought J5 (2015) yesterday and same as you i really need custom kernel plus i read somewhere about enabling OTG support. Maybe someday some kind developers would build custom kernel especially j500G that always fallen behind.

Custom Rom for j5 prime g570f

There are no separate room for j5 prime so I am unable to find supported custom Rom for this device . Please share the list of custom Rom supported

Why there's no any AOSP, LineageOS, RR ROMs for J5 Prime G570F ?

Hi
I have a galaxy J5 prime G570F "on5xelte"
I've been searching for a long time for a ROM that's not a customization of the Samsung "touchwizzy" ROMs.
in particular AOSP, Lineage, RR, .. etc
I couldn't find any of them anywhere
I even tried to learn how to port ROMs and port Lineage 14.1 to my device but I couldn't find The device tree and vendor.
Please help

That's the threads for all the j5 PRIME Roms not j5
Edit: oh sorry there are no custom Roms for j5 yet just tw based ones. What type of CPU is in that device? I'm sure if lineage is ported to a device of the same chipset then a port would be possible

Same as galaxy j3 2017. Try going to the j3 forum and pm one of the devs there. Seeing as it is the same SoC it shouldn't be a big deal
