So I have a GT-i9500, its a year old and it started with a little problem.
A few months ago it got stuck in a boot loop, the one where it gets stuck on the Galaxy S4 logo. I pushed the power button a few times and it booted properly.
Well its now stuck in that boot loop again and no matter the amount of times I play with the power button I can't get it out of the boot loop.
I have tried everything.
Here are some of the issues:
If I put the battery in the phone boots automatically.
If I try the POWER + VOL DOWN + HOME combo I get into the download mode but then it restarts and goes back into the boot loop
I can't put it into recovery mode, it just fails to respond to the POWER + VOL UP + Home combination.
I have tried different batteries, I've left the phone without a battery for days to see if it would fix the issue. Nothing works.
Any suggestions or insights?
Hi.
My phone auto-boots when I insert the battery and then stays stuck at the mi logo till the battery is exhausted.
I tried pressing power key + combos.. to forcefully close phone or start recovery but nothing works.
I can't go into fastboot or recovery. I had a custom ROM (Lineage 14.1) before and I was trying to factory reset from TWRP when this issue occurred.
What should I do?
- I have tried using a different battery from a different working Redmi 2 phone but that didn't work.
Please help.
Model: (HM2014818)
SOLVED.
Holding the power button for some time (15 secs) with Vol down enabled me to start fastboot.
From there, just flashed recovery and done.
Hello all,
Earlier i had ran the battery down to 0% and plugged my phone in to charge. after 10 mins i came back to the phone and I could see the bootloader warning screen;
The Boot loader is unlocked and software integrity cannot be guaranteed..... etc...
No button on the device seems to do anything and device isnt showing under ADB or Fastboot.
Any ideas other than let the device run out of battery?
Rom: OOS
Recovery: TWRP
Kernel: Stock
Root: Magisk
Yeah, that happened to me too, that's why I don't charge the phone turned off
Press the power + vol up buttons till the screen turns off once it does stop pressing them and it should boot up
It's a Magisk bug for what it's worth. Unplug the phone, hold all three buttons and it will vibrate and reboot after a few seconds. Once you see the boot logo, plug it back in and it should finish booting and also be charging.
This happened to me too. I was really worried as I waited over 20 hours for it to drain the battery. All i had to do was to hold volume Up+power button for about 15 seconds.

@mods, perhaps you can merge this thread with https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/help/oneplus-6t-stucked-unlocked-bootloader-t3874178
Guys, do you have any problem using the hw buttons to boot in recovery/bootloader? I tried everytime, but the only way I could boot in there was with the advanced reboot option.
To ROMRACER: Thank you. You helped very much. It works.
not a magisk bug. answered here

I can turn off the phone using the power button and volume up, but after rebooting again, still can't get passed the boot loader warning... any solutions?
I was in this position today.
I'd kept the charger attached whilst going into TWRP to do a NANDROID backup, when I rebooted was stuck at he bootloader warning. None of the suggested solutions above worked for me having tried them several times, each time I got the phone to reboot was again stuck at the warning.
I could get into fastboot, (but from there any method to boot came to the warning again), so connected to the pc and reflashed TWRP image and could then boot into recovery, from there reflashed Magisk and was finally able reboot normally.
Hope this might help someone else.
After installing a modified version of TWRP, my S10 + no longer starts. It keeps restarting several times, if I try to go into download mode, by the Bixby + Volume buttons down and plug in the cable, the screen goes black. When you release the buttons he returns to the samsung logo screen. If I try to enter recovery mode, so does it, it reboots again.
If I do not press any buttons, the phone restarts around 15 seconds. Pressing the button combination for recovery mode or download mode takes about 3 seconds. Please help me. At the moment I will wait for the battery to discharge, but I believe it will not be enough to solve the problem.
Started suddenly a month ago, when the battery died. Charged it up in the truck, bootlooped for about 20 minutes then booted as normal. Didn't reflect too much, it's done this many flat battery times before.
Now battery's long full, also have a second OEM one with the "charging kit". Yet the device keeps bootlooping.
Recovery mode (vol dn + power) = no recovery. Goes straight into boot loop.
Download mode (vol up only) = enters download mode for 2-3 seconds, then starts to boot loop.
Fastboot mode (vol dn only) = shows the fastboot menu and stays there. Can't/don't know how to pick an option.
There is stuff on this phone I'd like to save. Possible or done for good?
Thanks,
She's alive! 2-4 hours looping plugged in, did the trick and finally booted it up. Strange as hell. Also factory reset it 3-4 times, but that didn't apply. Good enough for me, time to save data.
