Known issue. But it seems to be Instagram's issue rather than Oneplus'
Just force stop the app after using it until they fix it, or install an old version of the app.

I thought I was the only one. Let's just wait for Insta to fix it.
yes observed this issue since two days.. uninstalled Instagram for now..
looks like Insta issue more than OnePlus... will wait for a proper fix
Just turn off background data in settings>app>instagram>data usage and no more wakelock. anyway is an instagram problem not OP.
Thankfully it's not just me.
Myself and wife noticed this as well.
Hopefully Instagram sort this ASAP.
You can fix this and many others wakelocks draining battery using WakeBlock app.
Noticed this issue a couple of days ago as well, same wakelock, just uninstalled for now.
Yeah, keep wake is the problem
I just received a notification for an update of the Instagram app, I will test and report if the wakelock has been fixed.

A lot of users from across the community (across numerous devices) are facing the insane Instagram wake. Hope an update fixes it.
I think the issue started with v17. I tried v18 as well and it was still there for me. However, downgrading to v16 helped and now there are no more wakelocks/alarms.
Looks like the issue was fixed with the latest (yesterday's) update. Below you will find two screenshots, one from last night and another one from today, there is not heavy battery drain like the days before:

What is this? This just started today and my battery life has decreased substantially. I downloaded only two apps which were "airdroid" and "reality piano" both were deleted but it is still running.

Have you tried stopping the process and see what happens? It would seem that maybe something you downloaded or installed is either being polled or is polling using the daemon process. Obviously related to the camera or camera driver.
Or maybe you just left your stock camera app running. Check and see what applications you have running and see if any of them are related to the camera.
It stopped after an hour but now my phone is getting pretty hot
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
have you rebooted to see if the process restarts?
Yea I dont think its on anymore because the time has said 59 mins for a while
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
I'm going to throw a wild guess out there but you downloaded airdroid and reality piano both of which actively use the camera for whatever task they may have so its most likely one of the two.
Reboot your phone, start one of the apps and see if the process starts?
If its reality piano then you're sort of SOL because its main purpose is using the camera
If its airdroid try and disable the process, might stop a few features but the rest should be ok.

The fix only applies to Nexus devices when they get the 4.4.3 update. Each phone manufacturer (or whoever is responsible for updating their firmware) must implement a fix for the bug on their own. Google updates the Nexus devices directly (or supposedly). So Samsung would have to include a fix for specific Samsung phones.
I'm having a funky wakelock issue. Over the last couple of days I've had a PhoneApp partial wakelock that's been running almost continuously while the phones been off the charger. Today a new one related to the phone popped up. I've attached screen shots and dump files from better battery stats so hopefully someone can help me figure out what's going on.

I also have the log cat file if needed.
Do you have any MOD that enables the Torch/Flashlight to work from the lockscreen by long pressing volume up or down? I used to have that on and it killed battery from my experience
I do have that mod enabled although I have had it enabled for months and have not had any issues with it draining battery.

Yeah I would disable it for process of elimination to see if that's the cause.
Or another route is do you remember if you restarted your phone since you unplugged it off of the charger? Try to restart your phone everytime you take it off of a charger with the MOD enabled to see if that corrects it
I don't know why this fixed it but it did. I wonder what the developer changed in the coding to cause this to be an issue now

I read that not only the long press for torch but also the long press for music controls did the same thing. Thought it would be a great idea until I read about the power drain

With the note 3's massive battery I was still finishing an 18 hour day with 40-50 percent remaining but anything that hits battery life, in particular anything that keeps the phone from deep sleeping, has got to go.
For me it's not so much about day to day battery life as it is about long term battery health

Anyone else had these system drain issues? This is the first day I have seen a problem with it after having the phone for a week now.

It looks like my "Android System" is at 30%. Phone has basically idled for almost 3 hours and I'm down to 85% battery.

Google Now isnt on. I hadnt turned it on yet. I just went into the settings for the google search app and verified.
It was the first time mine did it... seems to have normalized since.

I've seen elsewhere that people have had issues with Samsung Link eating up battery life. Turning it off appears to solve the issue.

Pretty reasonable. Thank god I pretty much turn off all non necessary Samsung apps because that's just how Samsung rolls lol
Sent from my SM-G900V using xda app-developers app
i had almost the same results on my rooted Sprint GS5 with all the samsung stuff, and bloatwhere turned off
Believe it or not.... the "Memos" app was eating more battery than everything else combined for me before I turned it off.

crazy how much bloat ware verizon put on this thing, the Sprint version was very slimmed down, polar oppoisite of this, lol

Did you figure out what was eating your battery? Im getting killed with 30% Android system.
Ok so I'm using cloudy g3 rom and it's great however some users report loads better battery life than me. I never hit 5 hours screen on time. During my work day I mainly just text and check Facebook. So pretty light usage. Hit a max of 4 maybe 4.5 screen on hours.
What app is best to check wakelocks? Tried wakelock detector and gsam all in root mode but the information pretty much just says Android system is keeping the phone awake and kernel or something?

Facebook app and Facebook Messenger lead to ineffective deep sleep of the phone. If you uninstall them and use the mobile web page through the browser battery life will increase significantly.
I've noticed this so removed Facebook messenger. I'd like to keep the Facebook app I've got it to not auto update. Turned off location etc in it too. Not sure what else I can do there?
Here are some screens of GSAM.

Any update ? .. i subscribed to this thread because I'm very curious as well
Get Greenify. You can add apps that it will hibernate when screen is off. You can also manually hibernate through the app or a widget.
Edit: Also Wakelock Detector is useful. Allows you to Google certain wakelocks and has an option to add it to Greenify. System apps aren't Greenify-able unless you buy the donate version.

You're better off removing the Facebook App and keeping Messenger. Use the website or another app such as 'fast for Facebook'

Why is the used time being broken down as if the device was restarted when it hasn't. I made sure that this app could use background data as well. I sent the developer an email last week but as per usual they can't be bothered responding. Uptime of device has been over 36 hours.

I've not had that issue, only problem I had was when I did the auto-restart at night it counted it as two seperate sessions, but judging by your battery life and working gsam you're on the SD (I'm on the exynos)
God dam 4 hours of SOT and 12 hours standby for 29% battery :crying:
Have you done much in terms of optimisation?

I'm a light user mate. I don't stream movies and only my basic location services are on, not high accuracy. Bluetooth is also off and my all my advanced options are off except for swipe left or right to respond to a contact. I have disabled all of Bixby via package disabler. Auto brightness is also off.
I use accubattery pro and also gsam to monitor.
