Instagram Stories Quality S7 Edge - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi there guys! I've noticed that when I record videos with S7 Edge and upload them to my instagram stories, the quality is awful. I've done various tests, using instagram video recorder and other software but they all end up looking like crap. Is this a problem of Instagram App for Android or am I doing something wrong?
Other videos in instagram stories look ridiculously good compare to the one's I upload.

Thanks for the help!

Samsung Touchwiz Boosters?

I recently installed cm12 and saw that those boosters are not in those roms. Is there anyway I can get those boosters back cause I do a lot of movie watching on my phone?

Poor Video Quality When Using S7 Edge to record Instagram Story

Hi all, do you guys have any problems with the video quality when using Samsung S7 Edge to record Instagram Story videos? I realise that the quality is pretty poor despite the good camera function of Samsung.
i donĀ“t used it yet, but on snapchat the camera quality ir reaaaaly poor! Not comparable with the camera that we have...maybe is the same problem
Conversion of videos through Whatsapp
Do you encounter issues with regards to the video quality when sending thru WhatsApp? The video quality is good when I watch in the Gallery app but it is pixelated when I send using WhatsApp...
instagram like Facebook compresses the hell out of everything

crackling/strange sounds during video recording

My wife just got a Moto X Pure from Amazon and I noticed on a Snapchat from her there's a strange crackling noise in the background of her videos. It almost sounds like an old movie reel.
Google brings up a couple of things about it, but no solutions that I could find.
Is this a widespread issue?
Do you have this happen in your videos?
What can we do to fix this?
Other than this issue the phone is great, but she records lots of videos of our kids so it's really important to her/us to have a quality camera for videos.
I always had weird noise in my Snapchat videos as well. Especially if it was a quiet environment. I never found a fix though. Just confirming your not alone. It wasn't present in the stock camera app.

Instagram low quality pics

Clicking pictures from inside the Instagram app gives out pretty crappy shots. Is this normal?
This is happening with me as well. When it is being clicked it looks fine, but the final picture is pixelated a little bit and not clear. Happens only on the Oneplus devices.

The quality depends a lot on the camera with which you take your pictures

I said clicking pics with Instagram.
Welcome to the great world of compression.

Choppy whatsapp videos

Hello.
I would like to know if anyone is having the issue that I am having.
The problem is whenever I share a video that was filmed by me using the camera app, and share it via whatsapp, the resulted video is choppy, jittery and low resolution. It looks like it was filmed in slow motion, even though it wasn't, and the quality is really bad.
Tried switching from 1080 to 4K and also tried 30 fps and 60 fps and the result is the same.
Low quality choppy videos send through whatsapp.
I also tried HVEC format and still no luck.
I have an Oppo find x5 pro running the latest 12.1 color os and the latest version of whatsapp.
To ensure faster data transmission, Whatsapp reduces about 70% of image quality by default. It is a good feature when sending images for daily use. It adds that you can send it as a document.
My previous phone, an Xiaomi Mi10 5G, didn't had this problem.
I switched to oppo 2 weeks ago, and since then, the sent videos are really crappy.
Was there a difference in file size?
I didn't tried with the same file, but now my wife has the xiaomi and when she sends me videos through whatsapp, they are fine, they play normal. If I send her videos using whatsapp they look choppy, the video stutters and sometimes they look like they are filmed in slow motion, but the sound is normal.
Thanks for sharing. Sounds inconvenient. Hope it gets fixed in the next update
This is indeed a issue with the Oppo Find X5 Pro. Me and my colleague have the same issue.
I have reported this problem both to whatsapp and oppo.
Only whatsapp responded but with no connection to my problem. It was an automated response.
I'll ask oppo for you mate and ask them to see what's up.
Thank you!
Yesterday I installed the latest whatsapp beta, and with this version the video playback isn't as choppy and jittery as it was on the play store stable version, but the quality is really low.
I can see some small improvements, but not how it was on my previous xiaomi.
An update: all beta versions following 2.22.11.2 are worse in sent videos playback. The video is choppy and it looks like a fast photo collage.
But interesting fact: the selfie camera videos are sent in normal quality and the playback is nice and smooth.
I don't really know what else to do.
I've updated coloros to the latest A18 version today, but the whatsapp choppy video still present.
I have no answer from oppo team... I'm kinda disappointed.
No answers from either whatsapp nor oppo.
I've noticed on play store a review from another user of oppo find x5 pro that rated whatsapp 1 star and complaining about the same problem as mine.
Nobody takes any action.
It's very frustrating. I don't understand how selfie videos are sent normally and rear camera aren't.

It's also happening on my Brother's OnePlus 10 Pro though being a UK handset if running Oxygen OS still rather than ColourOS
Though I'm fairly sure they still share resource OS/Software wise
Try to send the video as a document works perfectly
Exactly the same here, Whatsapp video playback absolutely sucks. However it seems fine for whoever you send the video to, so that's something at least.
No, it's not fine for the people I'm sharing with. They told me that the videos I shared are choppy and laggy. I've tried every beta version and still no fix. It's like they don't even care...
Same problem with my Oppo Find X5 Pro here. It's something... far worse than the usual low quality granted by whatsapp on other devices. I think Oppo should fix this...
I really think that whatsapp should fix this. If I share the same video using Facebook messenger or telegram, the video is send fine.

Any answers yet, mate?
The only way I managed to send the video via WhatsApp without being choppy is I uploaded backup the video on Google Photos (Mode: Storage saver), then I deleted the original video from my X5 Pro. Open Google Photos then upload the video from there. If the original video is still on your device it will still be choppy, but if it's deleted and only available on Google Photos then it should be not choppy when you uploaded it on WhatsApp.
