hello
just got a brand new H870
worked like a charm
proceeded to unlock it, and root it (with magisk)
used that technic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/how-to/official-lg-g6-bootloader-unlock-t3614719
I've flashed the no-verity-opt-encrypt-4.1 for TWRP to stay .all was good
after an hour, weird white vertical lines appeared on screen , they are moving and expanding, looking at it on close view it looks like 1 line is missing out of two lines
attached the photos:
installed fulmics and that fixed it for like 3hours, now its back
relocked the phone and back to stock; still there
so what do you think ? is it possible to fix it or just a faulty screen?
Thanks for your help

Faulty screen I think. Try a hard reset, if the issue persist contact the shop you buy it and demand a change because this problem is not related to unlocked bootloader.
thanks
hard reset won't work, it's always there now, even at reboot
strange thing is that it dissapeared when I've installed fulmics...it looks more like a software issue than a faulty screen as I can see like an interlace effect and some digital noise everywhere...
I'll ask for a change if there's no solution

Hi everybody, i have a "small" problem on my G4.
One day suddenly screen start becaming white with some vertical colored lines.
No respond.
Tried to HardSPL, SoftSPL, remove battery, flashing different ROMS, disassemble to check if any HW visible problem.
Sometimes this phenomena apper on splash screen (only solution is reset and/or remove battery).
Sometimes load everything, the stuff can be used until the "randomic" effect.
Screen color became lighter until the whole screen is white with some vertical lines. It takes several steps to go totally white, 1 or 2 seconds.
Do not know if it is related to the above mentioned problem but most of the time i plug-in and activesync do not "feel" the pda i connected.
(tried on two different PC, tried with activesync later release 4.5 and also previous 4.2 )
What the hell can be?
Is it bricked or maybe i can try something else?
I read other post with people mentioning the same problem, but up to know i found no useful answers.
Any help will be appeciated
Thanks
i have the same problem...
Its totally random when it happens, like i used the phone all weekend / yesterday without a hitch and now, i have restarted 5 times this morning... anyone else had the problem and sorted it?
hmmm this had happend to me but only on a certain ROM that i flashed before...
what i did was that i flashed another ROM again and this problem disappeared... ofc after hardspl'ing and following the procedures on how to flash a ROM properly...
maybe you should try to flash another ROM downgrade to NVID rom first then hardspl then flash what rom you like...
good luck
This morning, my touch screen suddenly stopped working. Hardware keys are still working but device is not responding when the screen is touched. Already tried a hard reset but no success, now I am stuck at the align display screen. Also can no longer get to the bootmenu, so can't reflash my device! Any suggestions on what's wrong or how this can be fixed? Thanks for any help!!!!
I'm curious
Didn't you see any spots (like oil spots on the water) to the touch screen ?
I had the same problem .I replaced the touch screen and the phone is working again .
No, nothing, was working fine at night, when i woke up just randomly stopped working. The display is not cracked or anything, so wondering whether a screen replacement will do the trick? ALso strange that I can no longer get to the bootscreen to enter HardSPL...
Had the same problem, the issue (with mine anyhow) was the digitizer, which is an overlay that sits on top of the actual LCD screen to give it touch capability....
good post here

I had a similar problem,
To get past the Align screen I had to apply pressure to the top of the screen opposite side of front facing camera - then use the screen as normal
I reflashed the original rom (manually getting to bootloader) - it worked for a bit but ended up sending is back to 02 for repair.
All they did apparently, was to reflash the ROM again and its been working since.
Had the same problem a couple of times a while ago, when i was trying out WM6.5.
All buttons worked but not the touch screen. Never really found out exactly what the problem was, but the first time I managed to get it working again by resetting the alignment:
While gps button pressed (under green button), press center D-pad button this will bring you to alignment screen.
The other time the "alignment trick" didn't work, but i got it working again, after flashing the original ROM couple of times. (And doing hard reset between each time)
I think I used this ROM
You say you can't get to the boot menu, do you run hard-SPL?
most likely its an hardware issue - had this one too, of course out of nowhere!
flash with original rom and if you cannot align screen (as the hardware seems to be broken) send it in for repair. it will be under guarantee, if screen isnt broken.
I had similar problem, I passed the alignment but i had a huge offset in the touch.
I replaced the touch screen and it solved the problem.
You can find it in ebay for 1 US $.

Thanks for all the help guys!!! I do run hard-SPL and have flashed many ROMS - just don't know why it won't enter the bootscreen anymore when I reset the device and press the camera button. Did manage to upload original ROM again by using activesync, now trying to restore original hard-SPL so I can send off the device for repair.
Hi, i had also the same problem, i find a threat in the internet... try to push the upper corners on the device with your fingers and then tab on the screen to see if the problem solved.
I had the same issue.
Its more than likely your digitizer. I tried flashing 100 different roms but always stuck at the align screen stage.
I actually have the barely used digitizer if anyone wants it (for a few dollars of course hehe) My mainboard died a couple of weeks after i installed the digitizer.
needless to say i moved away from the ****ty build quality of HTC to the MUCH better build quality of the iPhone.
Hello,
As you can see my issue is related to the screen... backlight always worked until some days ago where it failed somehow.
It started to fail when I flashed Stock Kitkat with the recovery but I don't think that it could be related...
My question is simple, did anyone faced this issue and resolved it?
My guess is that it has to be repaired but if there is a small chance it can be repaired from my side without opening it I'm willing to try it, otherwise it goes to reparation
[EDIT]
Apart from this issue the phone is working just fine, I mean it boots correctly, can enter in download/factory reset mode if I want too.
The only thing is if I adjust the brightness on the phone from Android nothing change, the phone is still dark and can hardly see what's in the screen.
[/EDIT]
Thanks in advance!
I had a Korean LG G2 for a week a while back. However, on the 7th day the screen exhibit some strange problems. Which I returned it to the seller.
I've tried to google this problem but I (1) cannot find the right search terms and (2) do not see anyone with this problem. I was on a custom rom and flashed it back to stock rom but the problem persists. It feels like a mix of overheat and faulty screen.
As you can tell the clock widget is "stuck" on several screens (even recovery). If I put the phone in the fridge or leave it untouched overnight it reverts back to normal and usable for 15 mins then the problems comes up again.
I want to ask what is this problem and is it prevalent in korean LG G2?
I really like LG G2 but fear of buying another one that has this same problem.
Anyone has any ideas?
Yesterday I've noticed similar problem, I use swiftkey with a red theme and white letters (I don't think it's app's fault) and after displaying it for some time and then switching to other screen it looks like the keyboard is "burned" on the screen. It's not visible on color background but on medium light gray it's easy to seen. After some time without using keyboard it disappears.

It seems that this is similar to the black line issue some people had. If you have warranty send it back. I think only way to fix is to change the panel and/or digitizer
Before you send it back, have you downloaded any new ROMs? Flashed CWM/TWRP? Because when I did the following I had a problem similar to that. It appeared that whatever my phone was running did not support my type of screen, therefore I downloaded a specific type of Kernel that fixed it right up. If you think this applies to you I will try to dig up what Kernel it was.
Hi,
After Xmas I made factory reset with TWRP and I made an upgrade to CM13.(6.0)
It was working fine.
When I was trying to make next daily update, after reboot, screen became black and nothing shown up.
I was trying a lot of things since that moment.
When I was going back from service point (I really want to sort it out) when they told me it is probably LCD broken (i have broken glass, but 1 year ago, so I do not believe it can be screen),
when I take phone out I spotted that keys are highlighted so I swiped and it locked out and shown screen! it was working perferctly fine,
so I decided that it is best moment to flash newest CM to solve issues, but after reboot screen was black again.
I can enter download mode so it is visible in Odin, but screen is black in every mode.
There is only quick flash on screen when turning on and also really short moment of Samsung Galaxy logo which becoming dark quite quickly.
I flashed stock rom(5.0), but nothing changed, despite of that I know phone is turning on somehow because I hear music on turning on...
Can someone help?
I really doubt that it can be hardware issue.
Can it be something with BL ? How can I solve it...?
