intermittent OTG - Asus ZenFone 3 Questions & Answers

It's just a bit intermittent, works for about 2mins then it just shuts off, I thought of power issues but I'm only powering an SD card reader, the reader doesn't even have a light so I don't see why it isn't working, my OTG cable looks fine...
*edit*
I think it just doesn't work with the screen off, I'll have to keep the screen on as it is working alright now

No screen, No LEDs, No Sound but still works?

This is really strange but I put in my Wizard into my hibernation in my desk drawer for a couple of months and got it out again yesterday. When I went to turn it on I got nothing from it.
I then plugged it into my PC with no luck from the LEDs for charging. After hitting most of the buttons I here a USB noise from my computer and the device starts to sync! I then used True Connect screen share and to my surprise the device is fully active. I can't think why it's not working? Has anyone got any ideas?

Power button not working

It happened to me today the first time on my second Atrix. I haven't installed any new apps. I was streaming music (from SD card) in my car over bluetooth. When I wanted to exit the car I wanted to turn off the bluetooth. I pushed the on/off button and nothing happenend. I thought the battery is empty. I plugged it in and the phone was awake and it had 40% battery left. I could use it totally normal just that the on/off button was not working. I let it go to sleep again and tried to wake it up with on/off button but it wasn't working. Couldn't even reset the phone. I had to pull the battery while the phone was running. Not good....Now everything is fine again. The on/off button works. The button feels and looks physically ok, so I don't think it is a hardware problem of the button.
BTW, I don't use any market launcher or screen lock widget.

I never had a problem with the button before and I don't have the 5-10 second delay the people are describing here when pushing the button.

Screen not turning on. LED lights still working. Seems to power on

My D802 International just stopped working
I'm on stock 4.4.2 rooted with ioroot
I left it to charge for a few hours and when i got back phone wouldnt turn on. LED lights seem to blink in the same pattern that occurs when turning the phone on when I hold the power button. But otherwise I have no response from the screen, rendering the phone useless
Another weird thing is when i plug the phone into my laptop, it gets detected but when I try to check out the files on explorer the only folders that show up are my pictures/DCIM folder. No system files or anything
I'd appreciate any advice

[Q] Stop screen from turning on too often (connect/disconnect charger, headset, etc)

I'm getting fed up of the screen turning itself on for things it really doesn't need to - for example:
connecting the charger cable
disconnecting the charger cable
getting to 100 % charged status
connect headphone cable
If I do want the screen back on at those times, I could just press the Home button. Any suggestions on how to stop this annoying functionality as I can't find an option for it?
Andre
I would like to know this as well. As would everyone else who charges it at night, I imagine. (Preferably without the need to root.. But I doubt that's possible.)
Would like to add "When answering call over headset" to that. It keeps muting itself in my pocket because of that every. single. bloody. time!
I normally have the "don't turn screen off while charging" mode enabled, so I can see it when it's on my desktop stand, and just manually turn the screen off with the power button once I don't need it. But the bleeping thing turns itself back on when charge is at 100%, and so it then stays on unless I'm there to turn it off. So I've have had to disable that mode.
There's a perfectly good LED to show me the charging status, why do I need the whole screen to wake too?
Andre
Any ROMs or kernels out there that anyone could suggest which support disabling the annoying screen-wakes on 100% charge, connect-to-charger, disconnect-from-charger, headset insert, etc.?
Andre
For anyone else looking for the same answer, try Wanam's Xposed module (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-wanam-xposed-customize-stock-t2383484) which allows you to disable a number of the more pointless screen-wakes (including 100% charge, and unplugging charger). Hopefully he can fix the remaining ones at some point too.
Requires root of course.

Hello everyone please help request

Recently there is a problem with the device. The power button does not turn the device on and off, sometimes vibrating but the screen does not wake up even when connected to the power supply.
Double tapping does not respond. Sometimes the screen will turn on for a second and turn off.
Sometimes everything looks right.
When this happened, the device warmed up around the power switch.
So I replaced the lighting component and now the problem continues random without the device warming up.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be and how to solve it?
Thanks so much everyone.
