Yes, here too. The Nokia 6 have 2 LEDs (yellow and white) you need to turn on Neon-light Mode for better Pics. Try it.

There is nothing like neon light mode option in camera settings

Please use google camera it will always use both flashes (white and yellow ) + it produces much better photo overall, while the stock camera flash use stupid technique where if more blue light is in the frame shot it will use yellow flash only but it's highly inaccurate .
here the link for the Gcam https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745849072291676705 also keep following this thread for update versions https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73955268&postcount=342 keep in mind to configure the setting as follow https://imgur.com/y3pCF8i or you can play with settings to find the best settings for our likes

Recording settings to manual. After that there is a Quickbar on the left.

Camera Light

Is there a way/software that will turn on the camera light of the wizard?
It is handy in dark areas to be able to say press and hold the camera button and have the light go on...
...it will drain your batteries and decreases the lifetime of the 'lightbulb' enormously. Try attached plamp instead...
nah, the "flash" is a suface mount LED. LED's have a very long lifespan... it will long out-live the phones operating life.
Handy program, thanks!
...stupid of me, i never looked for it:
in my screen i've got 3 icons to the right: a lightning strike (i thought for autoflashing), working set and folder my pictures.
If you tap lightning strike lightning led stays on...

yeah but then how do you get it to flash right before it takes the picture like all cameras with a flash do? because with the lightning bolt with a line through it doesn't have a flash...
...probably i've got a flash problem. Mine doesn't flash. I only can activate the light. I never noticed this because normally i use a digital camera (4Mpix) for pictures.
I don't believe it is a flash. It is only a light.
well it is the same as a flash, but it just stays on... i guess it is to help the camera so it doesn't have to adjust so much in a little bit. But it is kinda annoying trying to take a picture of youself with the light on.
The LED for the Wizard doesn't flash, it merely stays on.
well... technically it DOES flash...
It stays on to light the area, then when you actually take the picture it gets super bright (flashes) to light up the area for the picture.
Agreed, once the light is on (no slash on the lightning) it will flash (get brighter, not like a real flash but brighter than before) when u take a picture.
A program would be useful anyway to voice-command launch this feature...
Any Ideas?? (VJCandela does not seem to work on wizard T-mo 2.26 ROM)
So....Any programmer willing to help????

HD2 camera flash can not be switched on at always on mode

I upgraded to the latest ROM version 3.14.831.3 couple of weeks ago, after that I found the camera flash light does not work when switch to always on mode. The flash light would be not on until I take a photo which acts the same as the auto mode.
I have tried the factory reset, which seems it only restore back to the latest ROM with clean settings, but the problem is still there.
Any one has same issue?
Yes, it's the new software version that does that.
I was thinking if we could take the files from the old camera software and put them in this version.
It's annoying not just if you want to use the phone as a flashlight (solved with torch app, but not that handy) but the picture quality in low light conditions totally sucks, because it won't focus when the flash is on.
This is by design... it's SUPPOSED to behave like that! The way the flash illuminated constantly like a torch/flashlight in the old ROM was very annoying... it wasted battery power, blinded your subjects and was distracting for everyone else around. You won't find a conventional 'proper' camera exhibiting this behaviour (actually, they can't anyway due to the way xenon flash tubes work).
The new flash behaviour in the new ROM mirrors how a conventional camera would behave and, IMO, is a big improvement.
As for focusing, I've never had much of a problem and think the HD2 does a very good job in low light most of the time. The only real solution to accurate low-light focusing is an IR focus-assist lamp.

If it is by design, HTC should disable the option in the camera mode to have the flash light always on. And also disable the flash light in the Camcorder too, it works totally fine in the Camcorder mode.
Plus they do not mention this change in the ROM description.

I think you're misunderstanding how the camera app is designed to work... when you select the option to force the flash on, you're telling the camera app to always fire the flash, regardless of the ambient light level. The flash LED is not supposed to stay lit the whole time that 'force flash on' is enabled and using the flash LED as a flashlight to see where you're going has got nothing to do with the camera app. By modifying the behaviour of the flash LED in the new ROM, HTC have replicated the behaviour of a regular camera and have enhanced the camera app in doing so. Having the flash LED constantly on has got nothing to do with taking better pictures.
When in video mode, of course the LED should be constantly on as its purpose in that mode is that of a video light. This is correct functionality.

I think you're right about this. What would be nice is if there was a way to have a little more control over it. For example - if you're in reaaally low light and want to take a picture you can't even see what it is you're trying to take a picture of unless the flash LED is on - so I understand the op's frustration. What would be ideal is if there was a way to tell the HD2 to activate the LED flash X seconds prior to taking the picture. That way you could make it come on for a second or two before it takes the pic so you can actually see what you're takin a pic of.
or, for those rare times when the light must be on when taking pics, you could always turn on the torch and then start the camera.
Any recommended torch app for HD2?

No Green Tint

Hello everyone, i´m on [ROM] Back to the Future [XBmod-Yuki] [7720 ready] and i was playing with the camera and found out that if i take nigth shots or with poor ligth with these settings:
SCENES - candleligth
FLASH - auto
i have no green tint
At least for me.
Well done, seems to work ok, serious blue tint on normal photos but can set it back to auto.
It doesn't make sense though adding a blue filter to reduce a green tint but there you go!
BTW can we have front facing camera and WP7 on SD please

Yes i know it´s not perfect but if you auto enhance with HTC Photo Enhancer it gets much better at least better than green/yellow tint.
The candleligth settings work better on nigth and poor ligth conditions, on normal ligth or sunny get back to normal settings and pictures come out ok.

Front and rear LED's? Are they both RGB/full color?

Does the front LED allow you to choose any color (like the Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus, etc)?
Does the rear LED allow this too?
Do apps like Light Flow allow you to properly set different colors for different apps? Can you use both front AND rear LED's? Thanks!

I can only speak for stock:
You cannot choose the colors for each event, but you can choose which event you want to blink. The colors for each are preset, most are green.
The rear seems to be one color, but only works for:
Incoming Call
Alarm
Ongoing Call
I believe Light Manager (nonRoot) allows you to change the colors to anything you want (on the front). The back I believe is only hyper white. It has a very nice looking pulse to it. I believe people trying light flow could not get the app to detect the rear LED. Someone else can confirm.
using light flow i got the rear led to light up but it does not flash like the front so like when you get a message the front led is flashing and the rear led stays lit up and its only color is the hyper white
Front is full RGB color. Back is just white. You cannot globally change the color for specific notification types. You can however change the color for notifications from specific contacts to colors like purple, yellow and pink (and more). It boggles my mind though that you can't change the color globally. Hopefully a custom ROM will add that.

Some have reported inconsistent results with Lightflow. Also, I'm a battery nut and hate having extra apps running for such specific things like controlling the LED, not to mention a persistent Lightflow notification when it's running gets under my skin. Yeah I've got a bit of OCD when it comes to my gadgets heh.

Light Manager is working 100% accurate for me. And I'm not even rooted yet.

Can anyone confirm that the rear LED flashes only once then stops? I couldn't find a setting to make it flash more than once.

This is working perfectly for me as well. you have to disable the built in notifications in settings but after that it works like a charm. No constant notification and no battery hog
For the time being looks like Light Manager is the answer.
For a few versions now the custom ROMs for my Gnex have had their own LED notification setup built in. You can set any color for any installed app, and it was always ultra reliable. So once the development really kicks in for the G2, I dont think we'll need any external app for it anymore.
This is all good info. I don't like stock SMS apps because I have more options with third party like GoSMS but sadly I couldn't get it to access the notification light. Very weird considering every other phone I've owned had no issues there.

This; I'd like to twiddle the rear LED too, although I know it's limited.
Also, has anyone gotten the Camera Flash to work? So far I haven't gotten it to work, but the front LED is working fine.
Can anyone please tell me how to configure rear LED in Lightflow ?
I am not saying step by step but please tell briefly. Thanks
Backlight control on the LG G2 (root users only) with their dynamic file paths. Select button-backlight1 and button-backlight2 in the settings menu to enable each part of it

weird flash light?!!!

Noticed that my Note 3 N9005 has weaker flash light compared to my S3, the weak flash gives my pictures in dark a tinged yellow color, is it ia something I do while taking pics make it yellow or is my flash defective??
downloaded 3rd party flashlight app and it did give me a much stronger flashlight than phone's flashlight widget, however; I still don't know how to make flash stronger while taking pictures or videos, any help would be appreciated.

Flash in pictures should be on full power (if needed).
Flashlight apps wont use full power, else you will break you LED.
It doesnt have enough cooling to be turned on on full power.

I think if you want high quality pictures get a high quality camera.
This is still a phone, but should produce nice images tho.
You could try to make a picture and attach it here so we can see what you mean.
But its possible the flash is not working like its supposed to.
Ok will try thanks
