I just rooted my n7, I think? But then I checked if my n7 was rooted using a root checker app. The app said that I was not rooted, so I'm wondering if I'm really rooted to r if the app I used does not work for the nexus. Is there any other way to check? Thanks I'm advanced guys.

Reboot the device. If you see an unlocked padlock logo on the 'Google's boot screen you done good ツ

I think that that only means that you have the bootloader open... not root.
The best point is use any app that needs root access and check it.

If you're using xposed, flash the xposed Uninstaller. Reboot. Login to snapchat. Then install xposed.

Hello guys, yesterday I have ordered my A1 and I am thinking about my future setup. I am using on all my devices microG instead Google Apps. Just wanted to check, whether someone tried this. Has someone tried to delete the Google stuff from /system and to flash microG (e.g. via NanoMod)? Thx for any info?

For two main reasons:
1. Privacy. Don't like to share my whole data with Google. I don't use any Goggle app, except the Play store from time to time.
2. Battery life. microG is more than light weight and the battery consumption is extremely low.

I'm not sure about NanoMod by my installer (in the signature) automatically remove conflicting packages and can be flashed also on ROMs with GApps (since it remove them).

Thanks for the reply. There is another problem: the ROM is odexed, so there is no chance to use the NanoMod Patcher in order to spoof the signature!

I don't know, but maybe the version for Nougat works also on Oreo.
Maybe try it after a backup.

Hey mate, great suggestion. It has worked. Without deodexing the ROM, no huge hacking on the ROM. MicroG is running nice with spoofed signature.
Many thanks, [emoji106]

Hi, how did you exactly do ? I'm on MIUI and I would like to replace Gapps by microG, I installed Xposed, the FakeGapps module, but the Signature Spoofing Checker tells me it's disabled. Do I need to autostart something ?
And how did you remove Gapps ?
Thanks in advance.
Can you teach how? You use fake gapps and then, What to do next? No need for nanodroid patch?
I'd like to revive my kid's E2115 and am still running v24.0.B.
It looks like that rooting is possible with Kingo.
It also looks like that there used to be a TWRP port but am not sure whether it could work on the E2115.
What's next? Any "light" ROM ( I don't mind whether it's v4 or v5)?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Installed and run. It says I have root, and it looks like it's true:
Code:
[email protected]:/ $ ls -la /system/bin/su
-rwsr-sr-x root root 42516 2018-10-09 09:40 su
But from "adb" the command "su -" doesn't lead me to be root:
Code:
[email protected]:/ $ id
uid=2000(shell) gid=2000(shell) groups=1003(graphics),1004(input),1007(log),1011(adb),1015(sdcard_rw),1028(sdcard_r),3001(net_bt_admin),3002(net_bt),3003(inet),3006(net_bw_stats) context=u:r:init:s0
[email protected]:/ $ /system/bin/su
255|[email protected]:/ $ id
uid=2000(shell) gid=2000(shell) groups=1003(graphics),1004(input),1007(log),1011(adb),1015(sdcard_rw),1028(sdcard_r),3001(net_bt_admin),3002(net_bt),3003(inet),3006(net_bw_stats) context=u:r:init:s0
I'd expect to get to an uid=0.
Am I missing anything?

You have to install supersu as system app through apps such as lucky patcher. It's not available on the play store. Download supersu.apk and lucky patcher then install supersu.apk as system app, restart the phone, open supersu, he will say that your root is busy, something like that. Tap outside the box and it will disappear. Go to settings, scroll down and activate the survival mode, activate supersu if it's not active, activate the pseudo pro mode that will unlock everything. Through lucky patcher uninstall only KINGOROOT root manager app something like that... Reboot the phone and supersu will take the lead. Now you have the real root
