I installed it but the entire tablet freezes if I try to stream a 1080p video.
Netflix works fine though.
Does this tablet just not have enough power to run Kodi?
Works fine for me

Hi All.
After getting the M.O.J.O. one of the first apps I installed was XBMC (OUYA version). I was able to install it fine and was able to add my media library without issues (network share).
The problem that I am seeing is when playing a movie. The movie starts playing and shortly after it pauses and starts buffering. I get the pause anywhere between 15 seconds and 1 min. Also, for some movies it plays in slow motion.
I was also trying a different version (non OUYA but with the same result).
I can play movies from the same network share on a different video player without issues.
Did anyone try XBMC? Was it working?
Thanks.
Hi,
I've played around with v.13, Gotham (alpha) and it works fine with 1080p videos.
Could it be a network speed issue? Is it with certain file formats?
I'll give it a good going over again tonight.

I don't think it is the network. I am using the same network for the rest of the devices in the house and don't have a problem. Also I can use M.O.J.O with a different android player (BSPlayer) and it works fine.
I will give Gotham a try.
Thanks.
Gotham seems fine.
I was able to play the video files with no issues now.
The build i used was Alpha 11 from December

There are a few options.
- Google to find XBMC variants that includes HW acceleration
- Install a Plex server and app combo. It will transcode your 720p videos on the fly but the interface is very nice and supports many back end OSes
Be aware that the shutter via WiFi may be simply that the video bitrate is higher than your WiFi supports (consistently)
My personal set up to get reliable playback well away from my router is not for the faint of heart but I will mention it none the less.
Backed server:
- Ubuntu with a Web server
- Python script that creates Web pages of my video collection with metadata from MythVideo database
N10 apps:
- MX Player
- Boat Browser
N10 HW:
- micro USB OTG cable
- USB Gigabit Ethernet adapter
- Gigabit Powerline adapters connecting router to backroom
I did warn you it was extreme but it works without issues day in and day out even with 1080p content.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium HD app
This is the best explanation i have had, thankyou very much
Streams perfectly, the controller does not work though...
Any one else having problems or got this working ?
Cheers
Im using a miracast dongle to mirror my s7 screen on my tv but games/videos are laggy and choppy.
Im sitting close to my miracast dongle so the distance isnt an issue.
Any ideas how to fix this? From what I read, with miracast I should be able to stream 1080p videos without an issue.
But I got this annoying delay on everything!

Maybe it's related to the fact that you are using a dongle. I am using screen mirroring on my smart-tv with miracast embedded natively and
videos run actually smoothly. I am watching all my shows this way with mx player or vlc.

Screen mirroring with my samsung tv also works perfect. But that doesnt mirror everything. I want to output everything on tv so I can play emulators etc on tv. Not just media files.
My note 4 supported hdmi out. But samsubg removed this feature on s7.
Any ideas why hd tv-channels won't work on my tablet? video is full of garbage and very choppy, drop frames... I'm using kodi as viewer program on my tablet and tvheadend as server on linux machine. wlan connection seems to be excellent with speed of 150 Mbps so that should not be a problem. Every other device i have shows tv-channels without problems, even my old lenovo A3500-FL tablet will play hd-channels so problem must be in tablet. So far i have tested kodi, movian, vlc to play tv-channels. every program have same problem. Also if i have recorded tv program in hd quality tablet won't play it. i can play hd-videos from youtube etc without problems so it seems that tablet has a problem with playing mpeg transport stream. (.ts) in HD-format. Any ideas how to solve problem? Android version on my tablet is latest available, 8.1.0. thanks.
