Hey all,
I recently bought a moto g (2014) and when I went to update the software from 4.4.4 to 5.0, it says there are no update. The version I'am running right now is 21.11.17 titan_retuaws. When can I expect the update for this device? Almost all the other moto g second gens have been updated. Also for my last phone, I was able to flash directly from Google's stock rom website. Does Google or Motorola do the same for this phone?
Same thing here:
- new phone
system: 21.11.23.titan_re.....
Android: 4.4.4
whats goin on?
Same where. Indian users are lucky ...

You can do it manually if you don't want to wait
There are threads about how to flash the OTA and other info.

I just came to see Official Motorola Announcement about Nougat update on Moto G4 Plus. But I have still not received the OTA notification. If anyone have received the update please confirm. I am talking about official update not the soak test/blur version etc.
Announcement Link.
Hi Brother! Motorola Hasn't Released The Nougat OTA To Moto G4 Plus. But They Have Released A Notice About It. After Few Days The Officially Told That The Haven't Launched OTA For Moto G4 Plus.
Has anyone ever received this update?
NPIS26 is for G4 Play (26 is Nougat 7.1). We're supposed to get February security patch, not January.
In addition to georgeiulian89's post, Nougat updates for G4/Plus devices begin with NPJ25 or NPJS25 (N for Nougat, 25 for android 7.0 in this case). If the original post is in reference to the tech droider article, then yeah, I concur the NPIS update is only for harpia/G4 Play devices.
To confirm, it looks like this update is already being received on G4 Play devices: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75514543&postcount=98
Anybody get official Oreo update? According to articles I've read, Oreo was supposed to roll out in the U.S. first but I have 2 G4 Plus phone's and I can't get it in either so far. When I go to Moto support page, the I see the following post:
moto g4 plus
This device will be upgraded to the Android 8 (Oreo) release of Android, pending partner support.
Do you have the latest Motorola software? Find out
I believe the reports that the update is here are phony.
Last year i have installed beta version of android 8.1 on my moto g4 plus from an unknown source i think so its a brazil beta version leaked online. Now i want it to shift to stable version of android but i havnt recieved ota update over that beta version. Is there any way to instal stable version iver beta version.
If you flashed the leaked soak test, it is highly unlikely you would have recieved the corresponding OTA updates unless you were a member of the soak test program. Furthermore, it looked like an OTA update was missed, so anyone trying to update via OTA updates would have been stuck. The easiest way to update is to flash the full stock Oreo firmware: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/stock-rom-npjs25-93-14-4-march-1-t3608138
