I tried to restore nova(CAN-L12) with the TWRP back up, but failed and nova is now boot loop state.
I was used nougat.
Its display shows "device unable to boot Error - mdtp image is corrupted".
I can't boot TWRP with vol+ button +power button.
I tried to flash CAN-L12 firmware, but 3 button method doesn't work.
I tried to flash image file. I can flash some image files(boot.img, recovery.img, system.img), but the others I can't flash the files(mdtp.img and so on)
Next I tried to flash firmware with fastboot update command, but failed with message android-info.txt doesn't exist.
So I extracted .img file from the firmware, and tried to flash img file in fastboot mode.
To transfer img file was successed, but writing was failed with message"fastboot command write failed no error".
Is there any way to rescue my nova?
Please help me

Hi,
I just bricked my MX4 after trying to update system image from 4.5.6 to 4.5.7 using this guide:
Extract I version update.zip
use sdat2img to create system image
dd system image to system partition on live phone and reboot.
I used the same procedure successfully before, x-updating 4.5.4A ti I then updating to 4.5.6I.
After updating to 4.5.7, the phone goes into an infinite loop of Meizu splash screen, Flyme balloon, reboot.
I can enter fastboot and official recovery, but can't flash any partition from fastboot.
The bootloader is still locked.
Does anyone have any advice for unbricking?
Update:
The bootloop suddenly froze up for long enough for me to use adb to push an update.zip to the "sdcard" root. Have now flashed 4.2.8A from recovery and booted the phone.
As I had to clear all data I will unlock bootloader before trying anything else.
Try do flash 4.2.8.2 with uboot.img modded (to reunlock bootloader) and reboot fastboot and tell me

Hi,
I managed to push 4.2.8.2 to sdcard then do a normal recovery reflash.
Have now successfully unlocked using the .apk method.
Now I need to find out if I can use that unlocked bootloader to flash recent "I" firmwares, or if I can only flash the unfinished cyanogen (would like to wait 'til that's a bit more polished before using it.
Anyway. Happy to have my phone back!
Maybe that newest 4.5.7I need a new kernel so you'll need to update to 4.5.7A before flashing system.img or you can flash directly 4.5.7I but you'll need to use fastboot flash boot boot.img
If a rom/firmware needs a specific kernel it'll bootloop if you don't flash it
Can I flash 4.5.7 I now that I have unlocked bootloader and custom recovery? If I understand the unlock threads correctly, I think I will relock the bootloader, or even brick if I try to flash the complete update.zip. Can I flash system and boot partitions using fastboot?
Fully BRICKED.
Now I FULLY bricked it (no more recovery).
Had successfully upgraded to 4.5.7 "I" and was installing super su for full root, before disabling update, but had forgotten that I still had official 4.2.8 rom as update.zip on "sdcard" root.
rebooted to TWRP recovery for full su install and recovery found the update.zip and flashed it.
Result: Bootloop, No recovery, locked fastboot, no possibility to flash anything.
Aaargh!
Where do I find a 4.2.8 recovery.img for this phone?
Maybe there's a possibility doing a fastboot boot recovery.img ???
NOPE:
[email protected]:/home/marius/Downloads# fastboot boot recovery.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.662s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
Fixed with large hammer! Goodbye Meizu!

fastboot boot recovery.img isn't a command at all... It's fastboot flash recovery C:/path/to/recovery.img
Hi, my problem is with the L31,
I've trying to downgrade from Nougat to MM. I saw on the thread this steps and i followed:
"Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot flash system system.img
Fastboot flash cust cust.img (This one is in the second zip from badwolf nougat download)
Then I flashed badwolfs recovery b2 as that one lets me transfer files from pc to phone and followed instructions from htcmania from here".
The problem is that i didn't reach to downgrade and when i try to reinstall Nougat by TWRP i get this error messages:
" E: Unknow comand (errno) update_huawei-pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed"
"Updater process ended with error: 7
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/DLoad/Update.zip'
Updating partition details...
...done"
Now my phone stays freeze on the huawei logo and the flashtool doesn't even recognize my device.
Can someone help me with this matter, please?

I followed the steps that someone advice me. Like above.
"I had to first extract the nougat firmware with huawei firmare extractor and flash everything by fastboot
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot flash system system.img
Fastboot flash cust cust.img (This one is in the second zip from badwolf nougat download)
Booth files you can find it in this page.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/android-nougat-dev-build-huawei-t3488360/page33"
To flash img. i used the file that i attached.
Good luck
so now i restored twrp , i put the update app in sd card and it doesn't want to flash , i'm still trapped in bootloop but i have access to twrp now what to do now ?
I found the old twrp is okey for downgrade,
Just put b161 update.app into sdcard/dload and press volume down + power key.
but flash badwolf's twrp will get stuck in fastboot, though It's not really bricked.
hi, maybe you also have a solution for my problem.
i installed a wrong update via sd card (dload etc.), now my phone is just black no signal nothing. and it seems like a fastboot loop always when i plug into the pc im in fastboot without doing anything
when i try to unlock the bootloader i get "failed command not allowed")
and also when i try to flash the extracted files from update.zip i get the same error ("failed command not allowed")
by the way i didnt active usb debuggin or oem unlocking
please help thank you

Flash firmweare with fastboot, download ota with firmweare finder, copy update.app on your pc, extract with huawei extract tool boot.img, recovery.img and system.img(put the extracted images in the same folder where is located your fastboot) and flash them with fastboot.
With the phone turned off press vokume - while pluging the usb cable till will start in fastboot mode.
Run fastboot and enter this commands:

- fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- fastboot flash system system.img

I will share a way I got erecovery to work. I was brave and do not recommend this. If bricked do not blame me. I formatted system. Once system was gone it worked.

How do you format the system and restore with a different firmware?
Formatted in fastboot then went erecovery.
I'm trying to root my huawei p smart
I have unlocked bootloader
I tried installing trwp with ADB. I used this command at first: 'fastboot flash recovery recovery_twrp_Psmart.img' It gave me this error: 'FAILED (remote: partition lenght get error)' after that I used: 'fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_twrp_Psmart.img' it looked like it worked, but I can't seem to get twrp open
So I don't know what I'm doing wrong
Any suggestions?

what do uou mean it "opens" eRecovery
after flashing the recovery you have to unplug the phone from the pc and manually boot twrp ..by holding power button and volume up ..
*if you don't stock recovery will replace twrp wirh original recovery ...
*also are you sure you are flashing twrp & not stock recovery ... usually posts about rooting post both
Today i have unlocked the bootloader using PotatoNV and i have flashed TWRP from fastboot.
I have downloaded a magisk 16.0 zip from a site that explains how to root this phone and i have flashed it.
After rebooting to system or recovery i get this error screen that says:
Attention!
Please update system again
Error!
Func NO : 10 (boot image)
Error NO : 2 (load failed!)
So i think it corrupted the boot.img. Seems that I cant access TWRP anymore but I can access the stock eRecovery (which is useless because if i try running the factory reset the error shows) and fastboot (which seems to be able to flash things). But i cant find the stock boot.img anywhere, can someone send me the stock boot.img or a site where i can get it? Or do anyone know how to solve this in another way? Thanks.
I have solved this problem by flashing a kernel image extracted from another phone of the same model.
You enter fastboot by pressing the volume down key and connecting the cable, than run this command:
Code:
fastboot flash kernel kernel.img
I attach the image that I flashed, maybe it helps someone (My EMUI version: 9.1.0.235).
