Can't seem to get this working like it used to on every other phone I have ever used.
Pressing the "Select" button (mic button in headphone) during a call causes Spotify or a podcast to restart playing. It never answers or hangs up!
Anyone got a solution?

Anyone have any ideas why when a call has been completed with the Itech (S38) headset the voicedial window pops up? It happens every time a call is completed, regardless of whether the call was answered using the answer button on the headset or phone. I can't find where to disable voicedialling either as I would be happy to switch it off.
It's very annoying!

Does this Itech headset have a feature to allow quick switching between Home Phone and Cell Phone? Like you press a button on the headset and you choose the Home phone or Cell phone? Because my plantronics allows me to do so but I wanted to check this Itech headset out because many people are talking of it and i got recommendations to buy it.
Switching
I don't beleive so. Once paired to the device of choice it just allows call answer via the blue LED button. This button also acts as the activator for voicedialling when in standby, which is where the problem may lie? It's just confusing as when not using the blue LED button to answer a call the voicedial window still popo up when the call has ended.

Any ideas anyone?
Hey, i'm running Windows Mobile 6 on my Apache (Thanks Helmi!) and I was hoping someone knew how to get that little headphone button on the mic to skip tracks on Media Player or Audio Manager (if possible) in WM6. Its a pain sometimes to reach into my pocket or hold the phone to switch tracks. I know that you can answer and hang up phone calls using the button but not switch tracks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
i would also really like this feature, or if anything, someone explain to me the features that are accessible through the mic button. one thing i found on my own is that if you click the button 6 times quickly, you begin calling your most recent call in the call history. that has to be one of the most obscure things that i've ever come across, and despite my searches, i have not found one place which explains the abilities of that little mic button. does anyone know where there is a place such as that?
I know that pressing the button once when someone calls answers the phone and push the button and holding it will end the call.
a 5-second clickandhold ends the call, to be more exact
Once I saw mini usb headphones with inline socket or whatever to control player somwhere to buy.
Hey all,
Bit of an issue. Whenever I have my headphones connected to the jack in my touch, it will randomly dial the last number that I dialed. This happens if I am listening to music or I have the phone locked and have the phone in my pocket. The result obviously is annoying as I will repeatedly dial someone 20 or more times before I realize what is happening.
This just started happening recently, I have had the phone for about a year now. I can wiggle the headphones in the jack and it will autodial the last number. Only happens when the phones are in.
Somehow it triggering the dial function/mechanism Do I need new headphones? Is there a short somewhere in the phone? Maybe it is triggering the green button internally to dial? Can I disable the green button?
Thanks in advance
The issue has gotta do with the button of the headset. (The button refers to the microphone part of the headset, where you can pick up phone easily).
You can download a program to change the function of the button of the headset.
Thanks jeremy. Any idea what this program is called or where i can find it?

Heh Heh, see the results and play it with yourself!
Where can I find information on how to handsfree initiate a call from a bluetooth headset? My understanding is that Android 2.2 Froyo supports this. I have my Plantronics 975 headset synced and working, but can't get voice dial to initiate. Pressing the button on the headset just makes a beep, but doesn't do anything on the phone. Pressing the button twice redials the last number, but it did that on my old G1 with Android 1.6.
Is anyone using a Plantronics 975 with a G2? Does voice dialing work for you?
Thanks,
Tauren

No idea about the plantronics. With my headset (Sony DR-BT22), pressing the call button on the headset starts the voice dial app (audio through the headset) and a long-press performs a redial.
I figured it out and feel stupid now. But just in case someone else is having trouble, here's the answer...
* Hold down the main button for 2 seconds and voice dial starts (see http://bit.ly/bO0Gvo)
* Double press the main button and redial starts
* If bluetooth is not connected, single press the main button to connect.
* Not sure what a single press does if the connection is already established.
I never tried a long press because a really long press shuts the headset off. I didn't even think that there might be a "short long press" and a "long long press".
On my Moto H17 BT headset, it seems a single press on the button initiates the voice dialer on my G2, and a "short long press" redials.
