LG V20 H990DS and Kenwood DNX8170DABS- Android Auto - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I am having a nightmare to set up Android Auto, I can't get the LG to connect, I tried the original cable that came with the phone and another cable by 1byOne and no success. I connect the phone and then Android Auto (AA) starts, when I slide down the notification screen, it says "connected to your car" but the Kenwood screen is just blank, a few seconds later the phone screen shows a red screen saying STOP and exit at the bottom right corner. I have tried the "enemy's" phone and it connects right away...(Apple lol).
Could someone please help me

Samsung Car Mode - how to disable this?

I have Car Mode Ultra and I like it. However, if Bluetooth is on and my phone connects to my car it goes to Samsung's car mode and you can't exit the damn thing while connected to the car. I'm sure this isn't a huge issue, but how do I set this up so the built-in car mode doesn't trigger? I realize Samsung cares only for my safety while in a vehicle, but I don't like being forced.
Besides, if I also set it to recognize my wife's car, then I can't ride as a passenger and use my phone 'cause car mode takes over.
*shakes fist at Samsung*
So how do you escape from car mode and tell it to shut up.
thanks
settings - notification - click on car mode notification to exit car mode.
I put it in car mode using the notification panel icon and once it's in car mode I can no longer pull down the notification panel
try with two fingers or hit the apps button.

2 fingers doesn't do it and.... app button?
If I hit the back button twice it exits car mode, but this is in the house and not actually connected to the car. I seem to recall being very frustrated in the car that I couldn't exit car mode I'll try tomorrow and actually connect it to the car and see if double tapping that back button gets me out. Still kinda ticks me off that I can't just say DON'T START.
I can't test this since my car doesn't have bluetooth (it's 14 years old ), but when you're in car mode, there is a menu in the top right corner (the three vertical dots). Select "settings", then "my cars" and disable both options "Auto open via Bluetooth" and "Auto close via Bluetooth".
I have no idea if that affects the operation of Car Mode Ultra, though, but it should prevent Samsung's car mode from starting at least.

Thanks, I'll give that one a try. It weird because I see options when I turn it on manually through pulling down the notification bar, that I DON'T see when it starts automagically when it connects to the car.... but I'll give your suggestion a try and see if I can disable the darn thing once and for all.
Thanks
I also wanted to permanently disable this on my Note 4 (because you can't get to any other screen other than car mode which is really annoying if you want to give your phone to say, the person in the passenger seat to look something up while on your way somewhere). I discovered that if you do this, it wipes all the data for Car Mode and will not automatically enable the next time your car is paired to your phone over wifi (because using 2 fingers to pull down the shortcut menu DOES NOT WORK in Car Mode!!!)...settings>application manager>all>Car Mode then select force stop, clear data, clear cache, clear defaults. This worked for me. I also cleared the pair for my car, then reset it, and the next time I turned on Bluetooth and my phone paired with my car, Car Mode DID NOT automatically come on! WOOHOO. Soooo annoying (great idea, but not being able to get out of it until the car is turned off, NOT a good idea).
I just run into the same problem. I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4. For me, the following steps worked:
Go to the Notification Panel and enable car mode; that will launch car mode.
After the Warning, on the main screen where it says, "HI Galaxy", select "MORE" from the upper right corner.
From the menu that opens, select "Settings"
Once on "Settings", go to "My cars".
Turn off the "Auto open via Bluetooth" and, if you want it, "Auto close via Bluetooth".
Also, to be extra sure, remove your car from the registered list. To do this, you tap in the settings of the car listed and in the next screen, you chose "Remove".

[Q] Help on updating to JellyBean

Ok Ive tried so many different things now, the first was using LG's mobile support tool which just got stuck on 4%
I got it into Emergeny Mode by holding down the top volume button and power button and it went in there.
But the second I plugged my USB in a bar flicked over the emergeny screen for a brief second before hearing the Windows Disconnect sound.
The other methods I know invovle flashing the phone at this state so Im unsure why It disconnects itself when trying to conect.

Fastboot/Recovery on Diesel On Full Guard 2.5?

I was trying to get rid of bloatware on my Full Guard with ADB and I went a little overboard; needless to say something broke, and now it's almost bricked.
When I start it up, it loads the Wear OS animation, but then the watch face flickers black every second or so. Pressing the main button toggles between a black screen and my blinking watch face, and my touches are being registered/shown on screen but are ignored. If I hold the main button for a second a grey background with Google's microphone symbol flashes, and if I keep holding it the power dialog appears - and works - as normal. It also goes to sleep after a while, but that's about all it does. I tried connecting it to ADB wirelessly, but it wasn't even connecting to my Wi-Fi (I confirmed with a LAN scanner). I can't connect my phone to it via Bluetooth either.
Is there a way to enter recovery/fastboot mode - without ADB, obviously - from which I can do a factory reset? If so, what button combination would work? I found no guides online, probably because it's not that widely used, and got no comments on Reddit... Any ideas?

Philips android TV stuck logo

The Philips TV 55PUS7303/12 is stuck on the Philips logo. I updated the newest software with the help of Philips representative. After several attempts, the operation succeeded, but the TV turns on and freezes on the Philips logo. Out of 30 tries, once it started on the TV channel but after 1 minute it restarted again on the Philips logo.
The remote control or any other command does not work as long as it is stuck in the logo.
To restart, it only works disconnected from the power.
What can be done (what parts can be replaced) to make it work other than changing the motherboard?
Any suggestion is welcome. Thank you.

If the television cannot be switched on, it can be for several reasons.
Continue with the steps in the article below, if any of the scenarios below apply:
● no LED (standby) lamp is visible on the front
● the LED (standby) lamp remains ON (continue with step 3)
● the LED (standby) lamp flashes when a button on the remote control is pressed (continue with step 3)
1. Switch on the TV from standby● Switch the TV ON with the button/joystick on the TV. The ON/OFF button can be found on the back or bottom of the TV.
● Wait 2 minutes for the TV to start up completely. If no image is visible, press the 'Standby' button on the remote control.
If the TV does not turn ON, proceed to step 2.
2. Try a different outletDo not use a power strip for this test and try a different wall outlet. Make sure that the socket is functional, by testing another device if necessary.
3. Restart the television• Remove all plugs, cables, and accessories (including CI+ modules) from the TV
• Wait at least 1 minute after the LED lamp has gone out
• Switch on the television with no devices connected. The screen remains black, but the LED light pulses. If the LED lamp stays on and the TV does not turn on automatically, switch on the TV with the 'Standby' button on the remote control.
If the TV does not turn on, repeat step 3. If the TV still does not turn on, continue to step 4.
If the TV does start up, make sure the software is up to date to improve the functionality of the TV. Click here to visit the Philips support page to find the latest software version and installation instructions. Or continue with the article below: 'Software update'.
4. Contact Philips TV SupportIf the TV does not start up with the above steps, please contact the Philips TV Support team.

I followed the following steps after blocking the TV on the logo:
1. I contacted Philips TV support. With their help, I re-softened the TV with the latest software version. After this operation, the TV is also stuck on the Philips logo. I was advised to take the TV to a Philips representative for hardware repair.
2. I took the TV to the local Philips representative. They tested it, resoftened it and it remains stuck on the Philips logo. After 20-30 startup attempts, it starts normally and after 30 seconds it freezes and restarts on the Philips logo. When the Philips logo is blocked, no command from the remote or local control works anymore. They recommended replacing the main board of the TV, which costs half of a new TV. The new TV is a 3-year newer model and has a 2-year warranty.
3. I want to repair the motherboard (not buy a new one) which will cost me decently and not half of a new TV. In my opinion, a memory is defective and when the booting process starts, it freezes at a certain point. The resoftware was carried out successfully, but the hardware part of the TV has problems. Any suggestion is welcome..
When connecting the power, the TV always starts but stops on the Philips logo. During this time, no command on the TV or remote control works. It can be turned off by unplugging. Sometimes it starts correctly but after a maximum of 1 minute the image freezes and immediately restarts and stops on the Philips logo. It's not a software problem, but a hardware problem.
Hi, i had same problem and tried everything. In the end, the TV had to be serviced to change motherboard. But it hasntbeen ok since anyway. After repair, often restarting.
