just tried it now. it has the same camera FC errors as other nougat roms

You do realise there will always be problems untill leeco releases official source for nougat, right? And, to be honest, i don't think we'll get nougat for x52x models. I hope i'm wrong, but...

[Q] Would be possible to port miui camera to Cm 12.1?

That's the question. I know lot of users love CM, and last version from bule is amazing, so many of us will be using CM as stable daily use rom
The only disadvantage is the camera. Miui is clearly better. Any possibility someone will be porting?
Thanks
Yes camera from miui is the best and camera in CM is poor.
I put htc camera on cm12.1, works good, and I thinks it's better than cm12.1 camera

[POLL] Which custom-ROM are you running as daily driver?

Hello,
It would be very interesting which Custom-ROM you are using as daily driver and why.
By the way: I know some of the poll-options are outdated - I hope I didn't forget any ROMs.

Nestade

Hi,
I used the same for some time.
Now I'll try Efficient because Stock is good but some things are annoying - well I could "fix" it by myself but a Custom-ROM is much easier (if there are no bugs)
Using Phoenix ROM again
Jesse's Note 7 port is perfect. i like the new UX, it's stable, very smooth and i got 7hrs SOT

rom suggestion

hello dudes, i've been that kind of user that tries many mods and reads up about every possibility, but now sadly i have no more time for it :c (uni+work+gf+everything else)
i'm running an s7edge exy with stock rom and i'm considering switching to a custom one. actually battery life on stock is still amazing but i miss root features (and i totally hate that hecking youtube premium ad that keeps showing up) and that extra useful rotate suggestion button that came in pie.
what i'm more interested in are speed, battery and ad hoc features (always on, edge lighting, edge tabs): some friend of mine suggested me that pie performs alot better than oreo and now i'm asking: is waiting for 10 roms worth it or not (will it perform even better?) ?
would you suggest a stock rom or a samsung oneui based? is there any actual list to look up for?
ty alot ♥

Black diamond N8 v2 with Thunderstorms kernel 2.3 pie will be good for you. Good performance and battery.
If you want Android 10, Los 17 beta is out and in the coming weeks a stable version should be out.
Error.

Does it perform better or worse than stock? The latest stock ota seems to have caused a few freeze tho

For daily usage it performs better with good battery life. If you play games on your phone that stay on stock.
I'm also interested to know your advises. I'm in the same situation

Would you suggest to wait for LOS or not? I mean, it's just about stability or there is some difference in terms of performance (between Los and black diamond)?
(and why blackdiamond n8 instead of nfe? I can't find the difference but the nfe looks more updated, isn't it?)
I would rather go with a pure 8.0 Oreo ROM that looks like it used to look on Nexus 5X. Just pure Android. Does anyone know where can I find one?

The experience on N8 id way better and the experience is more fluid. Samsung basically made the Note FE pie firmware just because they had to because of the note 7 fiasco so the libs are not well optimized. N8 is a lot better imo.
As for LOS. I will recommend waiting for the stable release of LOS17. The beta version have bugs. I also don't recommend LOS16 because i haven't had a good experience on jt.
My go to configuration is N8 with Thunderstorm kernel.

As of now, oneui is the most stable way to go.
I'm currently on los17 and its blazing fast. Just wait a little until los17 gets stable and then switch to it

Hii! Sadly I've just discovered that LOS doesn't feature Always on nor edge lighting, or at least that is what they told me on the telegram group.
Should I pick the note based Rom that you suggested in the beginning? What about OneUI2 or Android 10?

Yes Los is based on Aosp and has no samsung crap.
Just clean android focused on performance and battery.
As fas as Oneui is Blanckdiamond is good.
Once OneUi2 is out for s10 series , developers will try to port it but porting android 10 to a legacy device is hard and i doubt s7 will get a fully stable build of OneUi2.

Try miuimix
xiaomi.eu weekly 9.10.17
For me, MIUI is laggy and slow mess. Gets really slow as soon as you start using phone.
I recommend Lineage OS 16 by AmulyaX. This is by far the smoothest ROM available to our phone.

How smooth compare to XPerience ?
I try a lot custom roms aosp PE, LOS, Syberia, etc, all them have poor battery and some bugs
Now i'm in last xiaomi.eu stable (miui 11) veeeery smooth, good batery life and performance. no bugs. And notifications don't dissapear.

Agree, miui 11 has "automated task" it can auto turn off wifi over-night and turn back on in the morning. I use this automated task + naptime almost zero battery drain overnight. I just miss the smooth of caf base rom. Miui has much more useful feature and navigation gesture of miui is far better than Google does

Looking for a good performance rom

I'm looking for a custom rom, not MIUI based, that runs smoothly and can be used on a daily basis, to play games, stream music and have a good battery life if possible, I'm open to any recommendations, I'm looking to tweak my RN7 to have a great performance.
I am using Pixel Experience 10 rn and it is doing pretty great.

2 days until my bootloader gets unlocked and ROS Miui is the first ROM I'm going to try. It's close to stock miui but with better battery and performance.

It wasn't before for me, with the phone locking up and rebooting every now and then. But now that isn't happening anymore.

PE feels way too Pixel for my liking, even the plus version, right now I'm using RR 7.0.2, the latest telegram version, and at the moment I didn't find any bugs on it so I'm going to keep this one for now
