Looking for the best Powerbank - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

hi everyone, can someone tell me which is the best powerbank for the op5 ?
I already own a ravpower 2200mAp. Is it compatible or it ruins my battery?

Why would it ruin your battery?

I use the Rav power 20100 with USB-C and smart USB-A 3.0. it's awesome and while not as fast as dash charging, it still charges plenty fast enough even while using the phone.
And no issues with my battery at all.

[Q] Note 4 Car Charging?

Hey guys,
I just plugged my note 4 into my car charger (anker charger, oem note 4 cable) and couldn't get it to charge. It charges my note 3 no problem.
I also have no problems charging my note 4 with wall chargers.
Any help?
I've got the "Anker® 18W / 3.6A Car Charger with Built-in Micro USB Cord for Android" and it's actually CHARGING my Note 4 when using GPS navigation and playing music! My Note 2 wouldn't charge, but it would hold charge under the same conditions.
What model charger are you using?

I actually can't find it on the charger itself or even Amazon. It's relatively new, I thought it was a 2.0/2.1 amp charger (2x USB). Definitely Anker though.

Are you using both usb's at the same time? If so, it's splitting the power, so you'll get a slow charge.

Sorry, I should have specified - the only thing plugged into the charger is my Note 4.
Shoot, maybe I just need to grab another charger. Thought I made a good decision with that Anker.
Thanks for your reply by the way

If you get the one I listed, it works for sure. Great charger and it's been the only one my wife hasn't been able to destroy.
Will the car charger also do the 50% in 30min charging ?

No idea, but if there were to be one, I'd imagine that Samsung would have it first.

Hmm.. this mentions rapid charging, I wonder if it's as fast as the wall charger
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ECA-U21CBEBXAR
The only chargers that work with the new fast charging technology are ones that are purpose built and have the ability to switch between 9V and 5V,they are quite uncommon.
I have this charger http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D82O68Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and it charges my note 4 while running Waze and tethering my Radar Detector via Bluetooth (which also uses GPS)....and it charges my wife's S5 at the same time
Using an afer market 2.1a charger and an S3 cable, charges just fine.

I believe Samsung has stated it's a 9v charger instead of the conventional 5v charger.
Did some more research and found this:
http://www.incipio.com/chargers/car-chargers/quick-charge-2-0-single-port-usb-charger.html#
From the Engadget review, "I clarified with Samsung that it chose a proprietary solution instead of licensing Qualcomm's QuickCharge tech, but it insisted that you could still use QuickCharge 2.0-compatible chargers to achieve the same results."

[FAQs] Smart Phone : Galaxy Note 4- To use fast charging, what kind of charger should be used?
Fast charging uses battery charging technology that charges the
battery faster by increasing the charging power. The Galaxy Note 4
device supports Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charging feature and
Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.
To use Fast charging on your device, connect it to a battery charger
that supports Adaptive Fast Charging or Quick Charge 2.0.
Hope that helps someone, credit goes to the users over at http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...-charger-supports-fast-charging-note-4-a.html

Amazon aukey or anker are excellent alternatives. Quick charge 2.0 is what you must get.

I use standard USB brick with 2A/10W capacity. Phone accepts ~1600mAh during primary stage which is reasonable given device specs. A full charge can usually be achieved in under 3 hours.

Yeah some people got 10w charger. I am just wondering what if i use turbo charger. I spoke to customer care they said it will. I found same news on Reddit pages, they are getting good backup of 6hrs. Is that a turbo charger of yours?. If not what's difference in Amps between normal charger band turbo charger?

Skip the overpriced turbo charger which will not yield better performance on this device. Fastest uptake is around 1600mAh which is well within reach of any reasonable 10W charger. A few higher end devices support Quick/Turbo charging (including the G4/G4 Plus) which allows the battery to briefly accept a higher charge rate for a quick 15 min boost (say from 60-80%). Otherwise they perform the same as standard chargers. Score one for the marketing department if you buy in for G4 Play which technically has the hardware to handle turbo charging; however, by all accounts (and my observations) it is not enabled by Motorola...likely due to the run-of-the-mill battery in this device.

I've used the turbo charger that came with the moto g turbo and it charges noticeably faster(also gets hotter).
The battery once fully charged lasted the same amount of time for me with both the stock and the turbo charger, so no problems there.

This is the exact charger, I can't be 100% sure about this but I haven't experienced any battery problems personally.
I bought the phone on Amazon India and it came with a rapid charger ... Phone charges to about 50% in 30 minutes and then the charging rate drops .. full charge takes about 2.5 hours

Power Bank for Galaxy S8

Hello Guys,
Everyone know that is not good to our phones battery use other chargers that is not from Samsung. So, my question is: is safe to use power bank ? If yes, wich one is recomended for our phone ?
Sorry my bad english :cyclops:
I have the ravpower 26800mah usb-c version. Power banks work just fine with my s8. I've used multiple ones also.
Using this powerbank, the S8 charger fast ? And the battery life is good charging with powerbank ?

I use a couple power banks I have. One being a 12,000 mah battery on a flashlight I have. But it only charges at regular 5 volt speeds...
I use a Choetech 6 ports usb hub 50 watts total and it charges = to or better than samsungs power blocks
In the end it depends on the output capacities of the charger source and capabilities of the Usb cable As long as its advertised power out put is that or greater than Samsungs fast charge should work just fine
If I use any charger that isn't from Samsung, the phone will tell me, but I use the Anker powerCore 20100mAh, works really well, chargers my phone like a normal charger, but lately I've been having trouble charging it at a good speed(with 30% it gives me 4hours to fully charge), only using the power bank gives me this problem, and only my phone. I've tried talking with the support of both companies, they blame the other. Still turning it off chargers it extremely fast.

Best After market turbo charger?

Hi all,
My original turbo charger died after I man handled it.
I'm looking for a good turbo charger (not the original one coz it costs ₹1200/-) on Flipkart as a sale is going on currently.
Any recommendations from long term users?
Thanks.

I would say don't use Turbo Charger, fast charger generally degrades the battery life. If your stock charger is not working then you should buy a 5V 2A aftermarket charger which will work fine. Flipkart SmartBuy 2A Fast Charger will do the job, I'm using this charger right now.

Buy any fast charger that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 i.e the same technology used in Moto turbo chargers.
Well, to preserve battery life expectancy, I've ordered a Sony 2.1A charger from Flipkart for 250/- (on offer though)

Okay.
But you will definitely miss the fast charging.
I don't know about Flipkart, but Aukey Quick Chargers have always worked well for me... Remember, Turbo Charge is just Quick Charge without the Qualcomm licensing fee.

Yeah, totally but it's already a 1.5 year old device, got it as soon as it came out. So I'd better off preserve the life span of this original battery. I charge the phone over night however.

Like I said, I don't know anything about Flipkart but here is an Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Samsung-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B018RR30TK
I have several of these... Once at work, one at home, one in my overnight bugout bag, and one in my computer bag, plus I think my kids have a couple as well, you get the idea.
The work on anything, Pixel, Samsung, LG, Moto, whatever (except OnePlus and a couple others), but they support Quick/Turbo charging on anything that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge or Moto Turbo Charge (it is literally the same thing, provided at the chip level of the Snapdragon processor).
