I installed the official CM10 stable about a week ago and was really surprised how much faster the ROM is than the original ASUS firmware.
suddenly about 2 days ago my screen didn't rotate anymore when I turned the tablet. (Autorotate is switched on!)
I then installed a water level app to check the sensor values and found it to always return 0 deg.
I already tried rebooting and also tried recovering from a TWRP backup, I made right after installing CM10, but the sensors still refuse to give me any feedback.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Doing a full wipe before restoring my backup resolved the issue!

I've been without sensors nor camera for a while now (almost a year), got broken because an OTA update. Tried downgrading, didn't work.
Yesterday I managed to root and install TWRP, did some research and heard about ''persist'' partition. I've been searching for similar cases but no luck. Also tried deleting sns.reg
Can someone provide me the persist.img stock file? So I can finally fix my sensors.
Broken sensors:
Gyroscope
Ambient light
Accelerometer
Proximity
Fingerprint
Camera Flash isn't working either.

Solved, download the firmware version you have here and look for persist.img. The firmware comes with it but the install script doesn't use it. Just flash it:

fastboot devices
fastboot erase persist
fastboot flash persist persist.img
fastboot reboot
Hello friend,i have similar problems,apart from fingerprint sensor,all my sensors and cameras,camera light are not working,will i loose imei numbers if i flash the persist img ? i dont know how to flash persist img,can you help me please?

I would like to thank you for this solution, finally, after 2 days trying I have my ZS570KL alive and working faster, I had to try rooting, then it was bricked for some hours, finally I got it rooted, but after deleting that persist/sensors/and.reg it was the same... until i found this thread, everything works good!!! thank you very much

Did you also have broken sensors issue and it is fixed now? I want to try it on my ZS570KL too, but is there a persist.img for this phone?

Depending on your OS version yes, contact me on Telegram @GuerrillaRadi0 (the last character is zero) maybe I can help you, after I fixed the problem I configured fingerprint security and the problem came back, so I tried to flash persist.img again and it didn't work, so I got the raw rom of the Oreo version I have; WW-15.0210.1810.73, which comes with its own ADB, and flashed from there, the same raw rom has the persist.img. After that all sensors worked again, so I configured fingerprint security again just to be sure, and again I lost all the sensors, but after deactivate fingerprint again everything worked fine, I guess I have some hardware issue related to fingerprint sensor, I guess it was because a technician opened the phone to replace screen and battery 2 months ago. I always used fingerprint so I need to go back to pattern.

After some days without any issue the problem came back, I flashed persist.img twice and it worked, but about 3 days ago I can't solve this flashing persist.img, I tried wiping everything, downgrading to Nougat, then flashing Oreo, with TWRP and via flashtool, no solution, any other idea?? all sensors are not working.

finally, i found the reason why the phone restarted itself
reboots when keys are pressed for a long time,
I'm experiencing this error especially in the fingerprint reader
for your information..

And you're sure that this issue is a rom fault? Do you have any logs or steps to reproduce? You are the only one with this issue?

I'm sure the error is a rom error because I don't encounter this problem in oos rom
remember that there was a mistake in the past. The screen was locked and only the led light was on,,He wasn't making a move on the phone.
I get an error when I tap the keypad area repeatedly or when the phone is in a closed area (pocket mode)..
this error is more of a problem I have encountered in the last 2-3 months.
for example aex romda and unofficial pixelexperince mod did not have this error...

As I wrote before: please take logs and steps to reproduce. Then post is within the specified rom thread, cause here no developer takes care of it and I can't remember to read a similar issue somewhere.

Random Reboots
I had the problem of my One plus 5 rebooting over and over from first initial set up to updating the phone from stock to 9.0.4. I unlocked it and flashed crDroid hoping it would fix it, initially it didn't until I just thought of trying to disable the hardware keys in the crDroid settings and chose to use onscreen software keys and so far no forced reboots since toggling the hardware buttons off. So maybe it is an issue with the system getting confused between a screen tap and hardware key press if someone can confirm this helped their one plus 5 rebooting on its own even after updating to latest ROMs from official updates.

I think the source of this error is caused by double-clicking on the lock screen
(I don't have a problem when I close the settings)
when I open the setting, I'm having this problem, so my idea is why.
Can you check the code order?
Gyroscope seems to be malfunctioning completely.
Even *#808# gyroscope test comes failed.
Anyone else facing this issue??
Sorry, no answer, but i have the same problème.
According to the Oneplus Community Forums, you have to reboot your phone again to restore the gyroscope. It worked on my 6T and now my screen rotation works again.

So I flashed lineageOs 17.1 unofficial build on my phone earlier to test it out. After booting into it, I realized the fingerprint sensor wasn't working so I flashed the stock rom using odin. After boot, fingerprint sensor still didn't respond and when I try to add a print, I get an error,"make sure the home key is clean and dry, then try again.", so I used the dailer code (*#0*#) to run sensor diagnostics. The results are as seen attached. Is there anything I can do about it? The home button still works fine so I doubt its a hardware problem. If anyone has a fix for this i'd be grateful for you to share.
