With kernels id just advise to clear dalvik cache/cache after you've installed new kernel

First of all i would like to thank the community for helping everyone here!
What my current problem is :
I had installed echoe rom on my note 3 till today. Reason of unistall and back to stock was the insane draining of battery.
Anyway i installed N9005XXUENB7_N9005DBTENB2_DBT so i'm back to stock.
Q : do i have to install a custom kernel again after installing the one that provided the echoe rom ?
and if so, where can i find that kernel ?
Thank you in advance.
Did you find out? Coz I am thinking to try echoe rom and kernel.
If you install an rom you can stick with rom kernels.
If rom is custom stock you could find some good kernels. Civato, ael, etc
Note 3 rooted knox 1, my last Samsuck crap. I want freedom. Stay away from Samsuck!
Ok from what I found out is if you stick custom rom stick with stock kernel to give you the best battery life, custom kernel are for running custom script etc. I have also had Exellent battery life with custom rom and stock kernel. Try it you will be surprised also make sure the baseband modem is of your network provider so supported by network provider to get the best possible signal.

Echoe comes with ael kernel; doesn't it? If so, great kernel for battery and performance.
Before I bought my G900H, I had a Galaxy Note 2 and I installed a Lollipop ROM on it and It had broken partitions and "No rom installed" in TWRP. Someone told me when im going to AOSP back to touchwiz its kinda difficult on the Note 2 (Which i don't think might be true)
Is it the same for this device? Or you root, install a custom rom, and can flash back stock with no problems?
Hi man,
I dont ve sg note 2 but
Flash on g900h is kinda easy
1st backup if u can
After that root your phone with
odin on download mode
Install twrp recovery by mehdimyadi
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/orig-development/wip-porting-twrp-v2-8-6-0-beta-release-t3085458
Next install costum rom recovery mode
l suggest xtrestolite or spacerocket
In case this goes wrong
u can return to rom stock with odin
Any help reply
Awesome sharing bro
I have been using xtro for 3 months plus with no issues.
Which Rom in your opinion is better?

In my opinion two roms:
Xtrestolite v2.1, SpaceRocket v4
Two roms work good there are equals & fantasticals
but my heart is inclined to SpaceRocket
I have tried several custom TW roms already but I'm still not that quite satisfied. There are those who are heavily debloated that some functions does not work anymore, and there are those that are so bloated... or whatever that does not matter.
I would like to flash custom kernel on stock rom to have more control on what i would like to add and remove.
I love ktoonsez SGS5 kernel. Sometimes I'm stuck on samsung boot animation, sometimes I'm stuck on Android is starting. I have wiped cache and data of course.
I would like to use the latest firmware BOJ1 or BOJ2. Is the cause related to bootloader? or anything? It seems that custom roms are using those that are a bit outdated as their base. I dunno, just a lucky guess.
Boeffla-Kernel
Worked fine on Stock TW for me

Note: If you are coming from a custom kernel to Boeffla, I recommend to flash the following cleaner script in recovery before you move on to Boeffla-Kernel:
>>> CLEANER SCRIPT FOR GALAXY S5
Boeffla-Kernel for Samsung Stock Android 5.0 Lollipop

Hi xda friends, I need your help.
I was rooted and running a custom marshmallow rom (resurrection remix was called) but it was full of bugs so I decided to go back to stock. I flashed a 5.1.1 firmware and it never turned on again. It is stuck on "Samsung Galaxy Note 4" message. I tried again and again, I wiped everything, I also tried this with kies "firmware upgrade and initialization" but nothing changed. Please tell me what can I do? I'm desperate!
Never flash a stock ROM with flashing the bootloader first when coming from them AOSP based ROMs. So wipe everything first, then flash bootloader, then flash a stock based custom ROM, you should be okay. After that you can flash a stock ROM via Odin, but you need to flash a stock based bootloader first. ROMs like Simple or Nameless are stock based FYI.
And as a friendly advice, don't flash them AOSP based ROMs unless you are keen to have a buggy phone.

Thank you very much. I'm gonna try it and then I'll tell you if it worked.
Just picked up a cheap Samsung A300FU, which is running the stock Marshmallow firmware.
I believe I have successfully rooted and flashed TWRP to the phone.
It is currently running the latest Marshmallow Samsung stock rom.
I'd like to flash a stable Lollipop or Marshmallow rom, but I have no idea what rom to use. I'm generally a HTC user but as this will be a second phone for me, I just needed something stable, and I can't really see any non-Touchwiz roms other than CM12.1 which has wifi issues, and cm13 which is WIP.
Is there anything stable, non-touchwiz (ie aosp type) for the A300FU that is good for a daily driver?
Thanks,
I have Listed all ROMs, with Bug list, for the A300FU in this Thread: [How to] Root, TWRP, Flash A300FU / A300Y Noob friendly guide
I guess the RR is maybe a ROM for you
Many thanks for that, I couldn't find a thread regarding Resurrection Remix for the A300FU, probably why I never realised there was such a rom.
Hi, is there any deodex available for 6.0.1 A300fu?

Maybe this is what you search [ROM][A300FU][6.0.1] [GS]Mod
Thanks, but I was looking for unmodified deodex like they had for lollipop.
