First of all i would like to thank the community for helping everyone here!
What my current problem is :
I had installed echoe rom on my note 3 till today. Reason of unistall and back to stock was the insane draining of battery.
Anyway i installed N9005XXUENB7_N9005DBTENB2_DBT so i'm back to stock.
Q : do i have to install a custom kernel again after installing the one that provided the echoe rom ?
and if so, where can i find that kernel ?
Thank you in advance.
Did you find out? Coz I am thinking to try echoe rom and kernel.
If you install an rom you can stick with rom kernels.
If rom is custom stock you could find some good kernels. Civato, ael, etc
Note 3 rooted knox 1, my last Samsuck crap. I want freedom. Stay away from Samsuck!
Ok from what I found out is if you stick custom rom stick with stock kernel to give you the best battery life, custom kernel are for running custom script etc. I have also had Exellent battery life with custom rom and stock kernel. Try it you will be surprised also make sure the baseband modem is of your network provider so supported by network provider to get the best possible signal.

Echoe comes with ael kernel; doesn't it? If so, great kernel for battery and performance.

stay on stock if u want good battery life.
if u really want a lollipop rom that badly go for the rom from danvdh.
custom roms are useless. it's only for people with too much time.
install stock rom, root it, debloat it and if u want custom rom features just install xposed.
no need for any custom roms because they are always worse if it gets to battery life.
if u say otherwise u have no idea ... it's ok if u have fun flashing roms all day and like to try that and that but don't say it works perfectly fine and especially that the battery life is as same as good or even better (i lol everytime i read this in a custom rom thread)
Try phoenix rom 10.2, or Albe rom. Both excellent

Hi guys, I wanted to get xposed for my i9505 but It seems I can only do it on a deodexed rom, thus I was thinking to install a custom one. What roms do you guys use?
Sorry.
Im using GT-I9500[emoji16]

Dualbooted with Albe95 S6 port and Fusionrom 6.0, xposed should work on both (haven't tried on Albe95 ROM yet but there are unofficial tutorials here on XDA for TW Roms)
My current rom is the GPE rom.
I'd say it also is my favorite rom, since I keep coming back to it. It doesn't offer much in terms of customization. But it's very stable and problem free for me. Xposed also worked on this rom the last time I tried.
i recommend for sure Optimized CyanogenMod 12.1 builds by AntaresOne
this is the best rom based on cm12.1 it is battery friendly and multitasking is magic in this rom when you use it you forget to install touchwiz the rom is very battery friendly but i didn't try xposed and it is developed by the best devs antaresone and alucard for kernel on it you can see it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...lop/exclusive-antaresone-alucard24-s-t3066696
Hello all!
I want to root my Note 4 so I could remove bloatware, earphone volume restriction, wakelocks, etc and use a custom ROM but, reading at the forum, it looks like somethings are different now since I last rooted a phone( LG G2). Can you guys help me with some question?
1- I have a Galaxy Note 4 910C with 5.1.1 stock rom installed. What kernel( I don't want anything special here, only an good overall perfomance and battery life) do you guys think I should use since now a custom kernel is must for rooting?
2 - I'm also looking into using DN5 or Sixperience custom ROM and I always see people talking about new bootloader and modem. What are those?
3 - Is anything else I should know before rooting( custom kernel -> TWRP for recovery - Custom ROM)?
Thx in advance

1-2. If you need all the functions of the phone then stock kernel is best as some of it don't work right on custom kernels unless the developer of the custom rom has done something about it when changing the stock kernel for a custom. "Welcome to TW roms" Compared to other manufactures its a pain in the beep to use Sammy's TW but I do love the whole spen feature.
I don't have a C so cant tell you much about there battery life but a solid rom on stock kernel can be very good and mix it with what ever app you use to freeze apps and its good. I use 3c toolbox "paid version" the best app ever.
Bootloaders and modems must match the rom version you want to flash or you will end up in bootloops so example if you want coi3 based rom then bootloader and modem must be coi3 as well or it wont work. in odin BL = bootloader and CP = modem.
3. use odin to flash the recovery and rooting I cannot remember as I did that only once which was a few weeks after note 4 was released so much could have changed since that.
hey guys suggest me a stable cm13 rom with great battery life
ROMs are a very subjective matter.
What works great for one may be bad for you.
Also, pretty much every Android 6 ROM has Bluetooth problems.
If you're looking for lots of features and customizations, Resurrection Remix and Cyanide are the way to go.
For performance, Optimized CM13.
Battery-wise they are all decent.

At the moment i am having a bit of success with Omega Roms (i have v19 based on 4.3 jellyB). Pair it with a kernel that lets you customize most things in CPU and GPU (like kernel KT-SGS4-JB4.3-TW) and you are good to go :fingers-crossed:
You can choose from different versions of roms and kernels based on virtually any stock rom. Good luck!

I suggest JDCTeam's AOSP ROM.
Thank you verry much ill try both roms but the one with the omega rom do o have to flash on my own the custom kernel ?
yes, the kernel is sepparate. There is already a nice kernel in Omega, but the KT one is better as it gives you acces to more tweaks

My modem is newer or older i don t know ... I had lolipop roms i sawd i have to flash another modem but can i install modem without computer ?
Hey so I've been trying to flash a new kernel on my N910C to fix its' god awful battery life. However whatever kernel I flash results in an endless booting animation. I'm aware that the kernel needs to support GraceUX so what I'm asking here is is there any custom kernel that does which also supports synapse?
I'm on Dooola's rom btw, 6.0.1 Note 7 port
bump
Try the latest dooola rom v12. My battery seems working fine. With Greenify and start-up manager the battery is even staying longer
