Hi,
I have recently received the jelly-bean 4.3, by OTA in my Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505).
And I keep getting reminders to update my firmware every 3 hours (maximum that I can delay it).
So I want to find the folder that contais the firmware downloaded to save it before start the installing.
I don't want to delete it, I just want to locate the file.
I have root in my Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505). And I looked for in many folders, including "data/fota", but I couldn't find it.
I saw the tutorial " How To Root Galaxy S 4G & Deleting Fota Files", posted here in 7th April 2011, but it didn't helped me.
So, please, could someone help me ?
Thanks.
Hello !
As you can know Samsung A3 has update to lollipop.
But i'd like to know if this update for A3 (A300-F with 1GB RAM) can be installed on Samsung A3 (A300-FU with 1,5 GB RAM) without any problem.

I tried that. It's a hoax. It require you to do a survey and pay.
Just wait for the official update to release. 5.0.2 lollipop update is already rolling out for Samsung Galaxy A3 but you may have to wait awhile until it comes out
Lollipop update for Galaxy A3 FU was released for France region. I'll try it on my UK version in few hours. I'll come back with updates about it and maybe a short "at first glance" review.

I'm having a problem updating my A3. Where can I get help
Hi guys.Id like to ask you a little info.I rooted my Samsung S7 Edge with stock fw Nougat.I cant get updates via OTA.Is there a way to fix it?THX in advance.
once you root your device, a file in the operating system is changed so that you can not get OTA updates.
Currently there is no way to fix this.
you can try smart switch or go to sams mobile to see if there are any new updates.
currently the last update has February 1, 2017 security patch.

Hi all,
Last week my Galaxy A3 2016 has downloaded automatically update Nougat distribution.
I don't want to install it. How remove this distribution (about 1 GBytes) from internal storage ? My smartphone is not rooted.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Use the U4 one
What I did is changing the indian stock firmware (3.1 Gb) to the Moroccan firmware (2.7 Gb) without root. Through Odin.
Apart from the Netflix app ( can be disabled) I didn't find any other bloatwares
I used adb's pm uninstall -k method to remove some built in mini system applications like Facebook manager, print services etc
Results = fully debloated without root access and without losing warranty or updates.

Thanks mate, i had problems trying to root, so after changing Csc , I decided that i will wait until they release the Android 10 on June 2020 (Samsung said that in the Samsung members App) I can't wait to experience OneUi 2 on this phone, then I will root inevitably ?
I'm so interested in lineage os too, I've used it before with good results, but unfortunately the A20 is not supported yet.
Have a great day
