It would be cool if you could somehow assign keyboard shortcuts to skip a song. Anyone know if there is an app that does that?

I have a simple idea for a program that will re-illuminate the slide out keyboard on the Touch Pro.
I believe it could be possible to create a program that starts up and polls the g-sensor once the hard keyboard is slid out. Considering the Touch Pro has an accelerometer, the app would simulate a key press, (such as 'CTRL' or 'SHIFT') once you shook, tilted, or flicked your phone. Then the app would close once the keyboard is closed.
Okay, so maybe it just sounds simple. Would anyone care to try and write this?
Please and Thank You!
Pocket Toolman has a setting to do this.
Is there a way to remap the camera button?
I'm using Launcher Pro and have the notification bar hidden. Does any know if it is possible to remap the camera button on the side to show notifications?
That would be useful. I also hope there's a way to remap the volume buttons as music controls.

How about this: long click on your app drawer icon and when options show up, click "swipe gesture" , then one of the options should be "display notification" or some thing of that sort. Then whenever u need to display notification, just swipe the app launcher icon upwards and voila

I use the TASKER app to set my camera button to function differently. In my case, I use it to open a menu of different camera apps when I depress the button.
So basically I'm fed up of Launchers. I don't think I really need one and would rather use Gesture Search instead. I can't seem to find a way to set an app as my homescreen though. Tried Button Remapper, but even that only lets me remap to certain functions.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Wrong section.
As for your question, id think there are apps that allow you to set an app to launch when home is pressed.
If not a simple hack could be to take your favorite app and edit's its manifest to capture the home intent. Then press home and select that app as default.
I'm confused. How do you propose you will switch apps?
Is it possible to reassign the dock's shortcut keys to some other functions? Personally, I never use the AutoBrightness, Screenshot and Media keys - I'd love to be able to assign specific apps to each one - as shortcuts to Gmail or whatever else.
I tried using a key stroke logger but when the special keys are pressed I didn't get a key code. Not sure if there's an easy way. You might want to search the Apps and Themes subforum for assigning keys (I think it's in there somewhere)
Hi.
Is there any app that we can use to make new actions with the nexus player remote.
Like double tap the home button for a task switcher.
We really need a task switcher.
I feel like those 4 buttons are too limiting right now, but with some mapping app we can do more.
Any tips?
Anything global would likely need root access. Haven't seen one yet.
