is there also a port of the app for oure v20?
i saw that the port for G6 is out there.
https://www.xda-developers.com/lg-v30-camera-app-ported-lg-g6/

It may be. Someone else on here said they tried it but it doesn't work so some modding or tweaking will be in order
It'll need a lot of work. Especially since the 18:9 ratio is half the design of the app as it is
'twas me that tried it and it does not work at all. unfortunately the person that ported it to the LG G6 won't be doing it for the V20

Is there any way to add/enable native video calling over 3g in LG G2 D802? Not skype or gtalk or apps like these.
I am currently using cloudy g2 3.3 rom.

You would have to rewrite the whole dialer app. Just because one device has it doesn't mean the code is in all. Alot of Samsung devices use a Euro software where video calling is common just like call recording. Even if you had the option, unless your carrier supports it then it still wont work.

What he said, blame LG for not giving it. My oooold Samsung Wave 3 had native video calling on Bada, but front camera was meh
My carrier supports native video calling.
So, this is only about the dialer app? No complexity regarding the hardware?

Then it should be completely software related. Either way you would have to rip the system files apart and add in tons of code to support it. What carrier do you have?

That would explain it. Most US based phones don't have native video call due to carriers not all supporting it and most people here stopped using it years ago.

Is there any hope that it would be possible to get it on D802? by using any custom rom or any dialer app?
Thanks for your time @zelendel
If you can find a custom rom built off of the os that is used for devices with video calling then it might work. Can't say for sure as I use aosp roms and there is no video calling. Mostly due to almost no carrier supports it. The only real people I know that use it are iPhone users that are a bit older. Most people are trying to go wireless and holding a phone out in front of you to make a call is not high on the list of features anymore. Last time I even used it was like 7 years ago.
Not sure if this has been covered. I did search a little from Google.
LG website says the v20 fully supports the Vulkan API, but i can't download a game that uses it.
Anyone have any info about it?
it works on the LS997 on my rom
do you have ur build.prop set to pixel xl?
cant have it that way as playstore is showing you pixel stuff

Just recently got an OTA, which i read brought us up to the same as T-Mobile version. I have at&t v20. I think it's up to date.
I'm downloading the apk from somewhere else right now, so I'll see if it works.
Only 5 levels? VG (Vainglory) is a moba. Real time arena fighting. I'd think that this app is the same but made for Vulkan devices.

just downloaded the vulkan beta app you had posted the picture. it showed like 5 tutorial levels, and then it was done.
it didnt seem like its a full game just beta testing the prologue. i didn't play but the 1st 3 or so and removed it. The graphics and play worked extremely well. It was against computer only but it probably would have got me to real playing once i finished the 1st 5 levles? lol i can say it did work, worst case i can try sending you the base.apk and see if your phone will install the remaining stuff

Makes sense. Probably not enough ppl Vulkan compatible yet to play PvP. I wouldn't doubt if they just did bot matches.
Thanks so much for the assistance. If it's something you might like, get the original Vainglory. It's the biggest mobile esport (so they claim).

Seems like it's the same for my end too, unable to install that too. I have the H918 (LG V20 from T-Mobile) and Need For Speed: No Limits is also not running in Vulkan mode. Doesn't even look close to what it should with Vulkan

I downloaded the beta from a different source and it does work.
Graphics difference isn't too noticeable, but the smoothness is an unbelievable difference, and the phone isn't heating up or draining battery like the original.
It is the full game. I noticed a bug or two but it's a beta.
What ROM are you using?
I have a question
I have the LG G6 Korean Version LGM-G600L and i need to flash it with different firmware H870 for example
The question , is it doable? and if yes how ?
I tried several steps from several sites but non is working
Thanks

It's a little bit uncomfortable for me. But not a big problem.
Unfortunately, I don't think Korean versions of LG phones got bootloader unlocked (recently we don't have any unlocking bootloader tool for Korean ones). So maybe, we have to live with those things.

It's the same story with different variants of the V20. Sucks big time but I knew the situation before getting mine. Even if I dont have root I think this will still be a keeper.
I'm well pleased with the phone and and there's no carrier bloat at all. There's several native LG apps but they're mostly useful so I've no complaints.
The dual clock thing is a PITA. But not a deal breaker for me. There is an app on the play store, dual clock removal which works without root, but its not been updated for the G6.
The Dual Zone clock can be removed by using an app called QuickShortcutMaker on the Play Store. After installing the app, scroll to find the "roaming" app and under it there should be an item called dual zone clock (or something similar). Click on and it and press launch. There would be any option where you could disable the dual clocks after you have launched it.
Anyway to add or change system language?

help me pls
Well, I went into T-Mobile to jump from my S7E to the v20. I had been contemplating for weeks between the v20 & G6. The fact that the v20 had root made me choose that. After making sure they had the v20 in stock I wiped my edge & went down there only to find out the v20 was not eligible for the jump program. So I choose the G6. Nice phone. Feels good in the hand. Already missing root to re-install my backed up apps & getting rid of bloat. So now to find something to get rid of ad's.
Pat
I chose the G6 simply because it was so nice looking, i didnt think the lack of custom roms and that would be an issue but it turns out I do miss it.
Wish i had the knowledge to build them. Funny thing that, something that most people would have no knowledge of relating to phones is so important for us.
Still enjoying it though, KWGT & KLWP keep me entertained enough to make this beautiful screen shine.

Yep. I also tried it through Fdroid's app.
For ad removal on a non rooted phone, take a look at Adguard. Not as good as AdAway imo, but without root things are tougher.
It tacks up a local vpn to act as a conduit to be able to filter. The only downside for me is that a real vpn can't then be used, or I haven't figured out how to make it work; if I need s real vpn I temporarily disable Adguard.
The app looks better.
Anyone?
I believe it's pretty much the same except for that wide angle option.
I don't think we can use it on our N9's. I'd love to use it for that color pop selfie focus thing

Speaking of ports I always found it funny that folks would go through hell to Port another phone's camera like gcam but won't try to poet and upgraded version of their own such as this
Seriously thats true... it's much easy too. Should we start a request to dev thread or something.
the Instagram mode would be the main reason to port for me. would the port be possible?
Do we know any dev to whom we could ask for
I mean the mods skim and monitor these threads supposedly but they probably won't tag the people they know probably know how to Port stuff
Still wondering about this one.... Like... Gcams cool but can we get a port of our own updated software? Please?
I couldn't agree with you more.. Please any mod reply to our concern here.
here it is:

I have not done a port in years. Always use to port things for my own amusement and development but after playing with the S10 camera I actually wouldn't mind it on our device. I will give it a try but I can't guarantee anything.
thank you soo much for the reply. hope you do it.. and thanks again for your help.

The Galaxy 10's camera allows you to make videos in HDR10+.
So I'd like them to port to Note 9.
First of all the S10 camera has hardware specific features. Secondly, the Samsung camera app is a system app that integrates throughout Samsung's OneUI allowing it to be used from within several Samsung applications seamlessly. Without root or the ability to first remove the stock Samsung camera, you can't install another Samsung camera whether it's ported or not, it won't be allowed to install and be given the system-wide permissions that are required for the camera to function the way the stock N9 camera does. Porting isn't the issue. It's getting around root, kernel DM-verity which will automatically prevent the phone from booting once a system app is modified and it's signature no longer matches. From my experience with this, it's simply not worth the time or effort since we have locked bootloaders and no reliable root method or ability to flash a kernel with DM-Verity disabled which would allow sytstem apps to be modified and/or replaced such as the Samsung Camera.
