Disable Unlocked bootloader warning - LG G6 Questions and Answers

Hello, I have a US997 unlocked and would like to know if there is anyway to disable the warning we see when we power the phone up?
I know with my old Moto X Pure we were able to flash a new logo.bin to overwrite the warning. Hopefully someone can come up with something similar for this device.
Thank you in advance.

Nope, you can't.
I'm missing that feature too, from my old Moto G, Moto G 2015 and Moto G4 Plus

Because that is only a Motorola thing. Motorola's bootloader reads the /logo partition to show things like low-power charging, bootlogo, etc.
Our G6 has it inside its bootloader, like almost all brands except Motorola...
Maybe someone can make a custom bootloader like on the Nexus 5 and 5X IIRC.

The YouTube channel you linked to is called "Android Doctor" and your profile biography says "Im the Android Doctor" so it's obviously your own Youtube channel. There's nothing wrong with linking to your videos (unless it's against XDA ToS I guess) so why lie about it?

Your warranty is already lost, it's like trying to be virgin again. You can relock the bootloader, but you can't revalidate your guarantee.

Only the message for only cosmetic purposes? You need a modified boot animation. So far is not available for the G5. Only for the G5+.
But the device still will be out of warranty.
The warranty is lost in the very momento that your ask for the unlock code in the Moto website, even if you don't make use of it to unlock your device.

Yes, only for cosmetic. Tks

I just wanted to pass on my gratitude and thanks for your advice , It is easy if you are patient and absorb all info given .
greet videos i tried all on my device and fully rotted with cust recov
big thanks
i got rooted my g5 but due to some reason i had to give service center and they replaced the twrp recovery to their stock
so i want twrp (phone is still unlocked but when i tried normal method it doer not detect my phone) back can you guide me
Hey guys in my case, I bricked my phone and it was not able to boot. Because I flashed the poly os Oreo zip file from sorceforge.net which is under development. But when I went to the service center, I told them that my phone was not booting, they didn't ask me anything and said we will check and let you know. After one hour they told me your handset is dead. They replaced the motherboard free of cost. I don't know how this is possible, because I unlocked the bootloader' and flashed the twrp.

They probably couldn't even identify the reason you had the phone not booting. I also think it's improbable here in my country they will check if your phone was unlocked or not unless your phone is booting for them to see. In other words if the phone doesn't boot at all and if it doesn't show any sign when connected to USB or whatever methods they have to see if your phone is booting, they will replace it.
I'm pretty sure however, that motorola keeps records of the phones which required the unlock code, and I doubt very much that in the United States they would not check it.

[Question] Is possible root without unlock bootloader?

I had two Motorola's phone before, and none of them was necessary unlock bootloader to be root. That is the reason why I'm asking this.
Can someone explain me, please, If it's not possible. What is the reason?
Thanks.
NO!!!

Root without bootloader unlock requires 1 of 2 things.
1. A software/hardware exploit
2. An engineering boot image (a boot image that's signed but has relaxed permissions)

I believe this was the method here. It was done on the G4 and G5.
I try it, but its impossible
That is good news, I won't update then, when (if) there is a ota.
Hi. I have the moto g5 xt1670. I don't want the oreo ota, but the update screen is annoying. How can I stop it? Should I unlock BL-Root-freeze the app? Can I just root without touching the BL? Please help. Thanks

Accidentally delete the IMEI from my device and other... help!!

Accidentally delete the IMEI from my device.
After installing a ROM that maybe was not compatible I did not recognize the signal, I go to * # 06 # it does not have any IMEI, it only has two "0"
What can I do here?
In the box of the device comes an IMEI, so I have an IMEI of the two, can you do something with that?
And I do not recognize the cell phone, it does not recognize either in twrp or in launcher
Edit: The EFS folder does not exist

Well, I could already with the pixel experience method, but not like the dice in the thread, although a SIM card was for use only 3G, but I have the two IMEI which is what I needed.
Thanks for the pass, too.

"bad key" issue
:good:Works just fine on Moto G6 Play XT1922-5*:good:
Many thanks!!!!
Only issue I found: every time phone boots, you get a black screen with the text "bad key" for about 5s.
Any workaround?
*in Motorola web site, they completely miss the fact that you have to enable bootloader unlock from android settings

Sure possible but just as likely to soft brick.
Magisk should be able to hide the unlocked bootloader.

Google cannot just throw a switch, and every Android device does this.
This requires Motorola to implement the changes to their updates.
It's possible that they have, but Motorola is normally very slow to make big changes like this.

There in lies the problem. Motorola has stopped its updates for G5 Plus, last update was Feb1, 2019. Planned obsolescence! IMO too soon.
