The screen ghosting on my Moto G4 Plus has been getting worse. I don't take credit for this fix. This fix can be done through an app making me believe it can be permanently fixed with a software update. Download sFilter Lite from the Play Store. I've attached a screenshot with the settings. Give it a few minutes and the ghosting will disappear. I hope this will help others.
If you are in LineageOS the best solution I've found is to set color temperature to ~8000K and in the color calibration set R:%100 G:%95 B:%95
You're done! You'll get used to the blue tint

*sigh* Let me guess... A fix isn't available? Seriously I don't believe I have seen screen ghosting on my phone, if anything its the Ghost Touch that's driving me insane
I think you are talking about 'Screen Burn', Screen ghosting is not related to colors, it is automatic touches on screen without our interference. This app (there are other apps there same like this and u can edit build.prop too) works for 'Screen burn'.
On rr, under settings>display>LiveDisplay there is option of color calibration.
Just set it on 80% RBG values, working fine and have no issues with screen BURN.

Is this fix permanent? Actually I own a Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm ( Mido ) and unfortunately it seems only my device is suffering from burn-in. Help me guys. Was searching about the issue and came to know about the fact that most moto g4 + models are diagnosed with this. Need a fix badly
Is just me or changing live display causes some lags?

I keep the app running at all times. I don't think the pixels are being burnt in. If so this software solution wouldn't work.

Mmm seems to be working but if the app gets turned off ..the ghosts return. A better app suggestion is Color Filter since in this app thre won't be any annoying notification running all the time.

You can completely remove the notification by long pressing it, then tell the app to disable notifications.

if you are using elementalX custom kernel then here is simple fix for you :
1) open Kernel manager app
2) open graphics menu from swiping left to right
3) go to advance colour control
4) then set RGB values shown in this pic : https://imgur.com/a/AbEHq
5) check apply on boot so it will be automatically apply on every boot
6) after then Reboot your phone
if your screen have some burned pixels then download Burn fix app from play store and let it run for 15-20mins
after then no more Screen Burn/Ghosting
I am using this from past couple months and I don't have any Ghosting problems
thats no work for me

Try holding down on the icons and moving them. If you can, remove them from the screen and re add them. If not, try disabling any xposed modules (if you have any that could effect the home screen) and look at it again. I don't personally use the touchwiz launcher and this never happened to me, so these are just guesses. Also, I noticed you have a strange colored Google app in your bottom bar. Did you do anything to the icon, and if so did you possibly break other icons while doing it?

I did factory reset my phone and still see these , is there any software to fix that or this is a hardware issue .
is this called a burn-in issue or it is called some thing else .
thanks for replying .
Are those applications actually there software wise? If not, then it would be a burn-in, where the screen has the images "burned in" and can't be removed. If they are there you could try flashing a stock tar using Odin for whatever build you want.

yes , they are software wise and if you look very good in the pic you can notice the whatsapp shadow on the screen , also I had flashed the stock.tar odin rom many times and they are still there , if this case is a burn-in issue what software would you suggest to fix because I tried all the softwares on the playstore and they didn't help .

The only other thing I can suggest is to take your phone to Verizon and see what they can do. They might have to replace it.
having same issue in MotoG3
I got this phone(MotoG3) 15 days back, it worked fine for a few days and suddenly I noticed that a "Whats app Shadow" is coming on my home-screen, it was hardly noticeable at first but then it became darker and darker, I replaced the phone thinking it might be a software issue, and got the same handset today itself, it worked fine but again as I installed whats app the same shadow problem appeared, I uninstalled it and it started to work properly. Am not sure where is the problem, so please help me out.
About the shadow issue:
The home screen of whats app appears in my wallpaper and also above all the other apps, a transparent shadow kinda thingy, I hope you people got what am trying to say.
Thank You
I also have the same issue on my redmi note 8 but in my phone i doesn't shows the shadow of the icon but but the shadow off appa inside when I use anh app
I have the same issue on my Pixel; the shadow apps aren't directly on my home screen, but when apps are opened. Perhaps due to Google system.
Yellowish color screen after flashing arymod 4.0 or Flex_Lollipop Rev2.1, also tried 3 different kernels: LP_Xplorer_Rev1.7, darkqueen latest and perseo matergold. Still can´t get rid of this yellowish tint when the screen gets dimmer.
A photo would be good, I guess?
So you have only two options, either flash Stock ROM and have the display as it was, or you can use the app Screen Adjuster and turn up the Blue channel to neutralize the Yellowish effect. Remember, with that app you will just be masking the tint, not get rid of it, well not fundamentally.

Thanks for the help, I've also tried that app but the problem is if I neutralize at lower dim when brightness goes up the colors are messed up again. I´ll post screenshot.

But color still messed up
Oh okay. Then you will have to ditch either the ROM or the kernel, I can't be sure which one is causing that (or maybe this is intentional), look for which one says stuffs about display tweaking, should be mentioned under the details of either the ROM or the kernel.
And screenshot won't capture that actually, a photo is needed, from a camera. Screenshots from all the Note 3 of the world will look all same.

I thought there was way to upload a synapse profile or something that could neutralize this. Everything works like a charm and at high brightness there is no yellowish issue only when it's dimmer.

Also, if there's a way to disable the lockscreen transparency I'd be interested to hear it - it looks rubbish.

color os camera problem
It worked perfectly on kitkat .
After updating to lollipop (official update) cm 12s , it seems to show some problem.
I can't see any live preview of the effects. It just shows the normal camera without any effects. But after I click, the picture comes with effect. So its just a problem about the live preview of the effects. Has anyone else experienced this problem ? Plz help me.
The now infamous two halves in pictures with flash are still there. I wonder if the community could extract the camera driver from oxygenOS kernel sources (when OP will finally release them) and use them, since it doesn't happen on that ROM.

I think the lockscreen flashing after the screen turns off is a lollipop thing. I noticed it when I had a nexus 5 and upgraded to 5.0. I think I noticed it out of the corner of my eye so to speak, after I had set my phone down and the screen timed out, thought it flickered/flashed but that's just the screen off animation now.
Still playing around with all the settings to see what's new (and removed) and noticed:
No longer have the ability to configure the auto-brightness settings which I actually quite liked in 11S if for no other reason that I could set the auto brightness for low light down to 0% (instead of the, what... 5% normal setting?).
Screen Color calibration wouldn't work and crashed the settings app (screen went black and I couldn't get back into settings). A reboot seems to have fixed it.
The settings app may just be buggy as it crashed again when trying to access Developer Options (screen went black and required a reboot).
EDIT: Couldn't sign into my Cyanogen account but that could be a problem on Cyanogen's side as it didn't recognize my account.
Still seems like there are a lot of new things to try and there are more options than Oxygen OS.
Switching profiles:
from owner to guest: Cyanogenmod-log crashes
from guest to owner: code to unlock phone isn't shown and no matter what you type, it always incorrect. Fixed by rebooting

no problem like yours.
but there's no led notification (when lock and screen on) only ambient flashed-up display.
i do agree that autobrightness is not working like in cm11s.
But, i do have those problems after flashing from stock cm11s 05Q and via bootloader with fastboot image from the cyngn.
And cm12s from cm11s is have this kind of lagging typing/touching to be compared if you were flashing from cm12/cm12.1, strange indeed.
I'm back on nightlies. CM12S ain't for me, thought OxygenOS was better
Lags on interactive governor
Hi guys, did you notice any lags on interactive governor in games ? It lags on cm11s too, I thought that they will fix it in today released cm12s. It didn't happen before brick of my phone, since unbrick and flash of cm11s, games are lagging so much on interactive governor. Do you know how to fix that without any change of governor, hotplug or profiles ? Thanks a lot.
