Recents button Remapper for O roms - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Guides, News, & Discussion

The Oreo test builds which are available now don't have keymapping options.I felt strange while using recents button for menu function.I tried the buttons mapper app but its giving me some problems like multiple rand slow response s.Here I am sharing a flashable zip to revert recent apps button to recent apps just like other roms.
Just flash it through recovery

[Q] Force disable menu overflow button

Hey all,
In GravityBox there's an option to disable the overflow menu button.
I was wondering if this would be possible without xposed, so I can use it on ART.
The ROM itself should have such function

Swap "Back" & "Recent Apps" buttons on navbar ?

Is there any simple solution how to swap "Back" & "Recent Apps" buttons on navbar?
I don't want to root and flash anything, just to swap these buttons as I used to use them the other way.
Is there any option on settings, or any app that does not require root ?
Thanks
Nope

Menu swap for recent apps

Is it possible to change menu button to a recent app button on a i9505 value edition?
I'd like to stay stock, necessary to root?
Thanks

Root and xposed.
Otherwise custom rom.
PS: the value edition is an I9515.
xposed on touchwiz is not recommended by it's creators. you'd at least also want a custom recovery and a nandroid backup and an xposed uninstaller zip in preparedness...
I use an app called bar launcher so that I can have certain apps always within reach in the notifications drop-down. one of the apps I have there is called recent apps which unsurprisingly launches recent apps. I take you want to avoid wearing out your home button...

Show all app in home screen - Nougat

Who knows how to bring this feature from marshmallow in nougat?
I make it work thanks to the S8 launcher, it has the option as naive, there is a couple of thread related. Or download the touchwiz launcher latest version from apk mirror
1.open the download file location
2. Go to settings, applications
3. Stop and clear all data of touchwiz home.if not you'll get a lot of errors (i.e.overheathing)
4.Go back to download file via recent app button
5.Install apk, reboot give a couple of minites to settle down.
6.Go to home screen options, have fun and enjoy.
P.S:I installed hello bixby only to enable other option in the hom screen, for me bixby is useless.
I hope I'm wrong but from what I can tell it's been disabled in the T-Mobile ROM variant.
I'll give it a try with nova launcher, may be it has a secret option as with the density of the screen.

Can anyone please test this pie treble rom (benzo)?

I KNOW I'M ASKING A LOT FROM YOU GUYS, BUT I CAN'T RISK LOOSING DATA AS THIS IS MY MAIN DEVICE.
I'm presently on PR1 rom which was ported to our devices by @GtrCraft which is crazy stable. Any minor bugs that exist can be overcome easily by a simple reboot!!
I really wanted to install this as this room is based on pr2.
Pls also tell if this rom has inbuilt pixel launcher integration for recents. Lack of it can be a deal breaker as this was the only reason I reverted from arrow rom. I need all the Google pixel features as I think I'm addicted to those.
THANKS AND SORRY FOR TROUBLING YOU GUYS!!!
Ok...you know you can just do a nandroid backup of your current ROM and be literally ironclad safe if anything goes wrong?
Just hit "Backup" in TWRP and backup System, System Image, Data (excl. storage), Cache, Boot, (and EFS and Persist just to be safe).
Then flash PR2 to your heart's content and test it out yourself. If it ****s up in any way, reboots randomly, texts your ex, begins running missile launch codes or anything else you don't like......go reboot back to TWRP, "Restore", and choose your backup. Back to how it was before like a time machine.
Why are you still using gsi when we have stable pie rom. You can install pixel launcher with piee recents and suggestion in any rom just so you know. Here are the screenshots from arrow 9.0

The last time I tried, the feature was missing!! Can you suggest the version of gapps that you're using? I used stock and the recents integration was not working!

For the roms like Arrow Pie, you have to enable the pie recents (labled "swipe up from home button") somewhere in the settings. I think it's at the very bottom in System or something.
For the space issue though, if you don't have an SD card I'd just back everything up to your computer via USB and then backup. Then you can pull the backup off (to your computer) and have that ready in case anything catastrophic happens.

Gesture navigation are disabled by default you can enable it in system - gesture
But default launcher is quickstep if you want pixel launcher with working actions and search bar and apps suggestion in recent try either of the following ways.
I am using aroma gapps with arrow os 9.0 i flashed pixel launcher , action service and digital well-being through aroma installer after that you have to paste pixel framework file in vendor->overlay.
If you want a simple procedure there is a magisk module in telegram group that installs pixel launcher ,pixel sounds and pixel boot animations.
Both files can be found in arrow os telegram group. And don't use stock gapps they are not recommended they replace camera libs and camera give issue after flashing them use aroma instead
Thanks.. That'll do.. ??
