Is there any simple solution how to swap "Back" & "Recent Apps" buttons on navbar?
I don't want to root and flash anything, just to swap these buttons as I used to use them the other way.
Is there any option on settings, or any app that does not require root ?
Thanks
Nope

Hey all,
In GravityBox there's an option to disable the overflow menu button.
I was wondering if this would be possible without xposed, so I can use it on ART.
The ROM itself should have such function
I'm running Jellybeans Build 6. I would like a hold menu button for voice search (Google Now).

Click to collapse
Use a Root Explorer type app or Titanium Backup to rename/freeze s-voice then Google Now will open with the menu long press.
Is it possible to change menu button to a recent app button on a i9505 value edition?
I'd like to stay stock, necessary to root?
Thanks

Root and xposed.
Otherwise custom rom.
PS: the value edition is an I9515.
xposed on touchwiz is not recommended by it's creators. you'd at least also want a custom recovery and a nandroid backup and an xposed uninstaller zip in preparedness...
I use an app called bar launcher so that I can have certain apps always within reach in the notifications drop-down. one of the apps I have there is called recent apps which unsurprisingly launches recent apps. I take you want to avoid wearing out your home button...
The Oreo test builds which are available now don't have keymapping options.I felt strange while using recents button for menu function.I tried the buttons mapper app but its giving me some problems like multiple rand slow response s.Here I am sharing a flashable zip to revert recent apps button to recent apps just like other roms.
Just flash it through recovery
I've got the TB3-X70F with root on stock firmware (Android 6). It has this extra "taskbar" button that pulls up some app shortcuts. How can I edit the list of apps here or remove the button?
