Phone: T-mobile SM-G950U
Hello. After receiving root the phone was flashed using flashfire on stock firmware g9500 ( Select in ""firmware flash package" AP, BL, CP, CSC from g9500 firmware, tap on all available check mark)
Now phone is not turn ON (black screen). In device Manager, is defined as qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008. QPST, QFIL show "Phone in dowmnload mode", "Q/QCP-XXX (Sahara Download)
For QPST files you need mprg8998.hex and many other files... How i can unbrick phone?
Update:
Unbrick files for s8 and s8+
1) Connect in EDL mode (9008 port in device manager)
2) start G95XU2_Recovery.bat
3) go Bootloader and flash with patched Odin firmwire
I'm in the same boat as you, we're you ever able to resolve your issue? And if so how?
Lol sm-g9500 is a different phone, I hope your didn't flash bl it can brick the device
Yea you're phone is not recoverable via flashing normal firmware. You flashed the wrong firmware. You will need to bring it to someone who has the ability to do an edl (emergency download mode) repair which is very difficult to do so it's likely better to try and get it replaced.
There is a way to do it by creating sdc files using Atf box, an SD card, a jig and a micro to type c converter. I just ordered a box, I'll share the rescue file if it works.
Partcyborg I do believe that if I have that img file I can fix it, although
I think he can just reflash with odin the true rom is happen to me too no problem
In this mode you cannot even put your phone into download mode or even recovery. It's because the bootloader is messed up, you must have a service rom to fix it, or there are ways to put your phone into download mode using a sdc. It's a hard brick.
The problem is that you cannot access download mode or recovery mode, the phone is unresponsive.

hello everyone
i know that if i flash a kernlel unsuccessfully then i will lose my recovery mode
but i want to know if download mode will also be gone ie i wont be able to download mode
or it will open and recovery mode will not open
please reply fast/////////
download mode will still be available
the only risk to download mode is if you flash a firmware that is not meant for your phone

No problem. If you flash DDLK2 with Odin, you will not lose Download mode.
Download mode is lost means HARDEST brick.
It can happen if you mess with .pit or bootloader wrongly.
(It happened to XDA Recognized Contributor doky73 when he flashed Galaxy S2 bootloader)
(His device was never repaired)
In that case nothing can restore your phone, not even USB jig.
But JTAG may repair your device.

If on PC, use WinRAR/Winzip/7zip to open and check ROM.zip
If on phone use Root Explorer. (Simply click the ROM.zip)
If it contains META-INF, system, data (and/maybe) boot.img, (and/maybe) busyboxinstall it is safe.
# HERE BY SAFE I MEAN MAXIMUM IT CAN SOFT BRICK YOUR DEVICE, WHICH IS RECOVERED BY ODIN.
Bootloader is not replaced by Flashable zip in Galaxy y. So forget about it.
Bootloader is only replaced by odin.
*** I TELL YOU, DO NOT MESS WITH BOOTLOADER OR .PIT***
Result is hard-bricked device, not recoverable by Odin, USB Jig. Not recovered also by JTAG.
You must have to see those charming(!!!!!) Samsung Care Guys (Pun intended ) to repair such device.

Hello,
I have a LG G2 (D802). I was busy flashing the stock KDZ, when I got an error. The progress on my phone stopped, and nothing happened anymore. I wanted to try again, so I turned my phone off. Now, when I boot my phone, it gives the LG logo, and then nothing. When I connect it to my pc, I get a lot of format pop-ups.
I followed this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
The KDZ I used: Netherlands Open 16GB KitKat D80220D
Furthermore, also while connected to the pc, I only see a folder called "image".
Can someone help me with getting my phone back to stock? It doesn't matter if everything gets wiped, I already backed up everything.
Thanks in advance!
If lots of drives still pop up when you connect your phone to the PC,then follow this guide:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQVTc2m6U-I
I did it,and it fixed my download mode, and I could finally access Download Mode.
If your Download Mode still works, try the TOT method,it worked for me,since the KDZ method would be stuck at 2% every time(in my case).
So,after,or if your download mode works,do try the TOT method.

So you basically cant access the recovery, fastboot nor the Download Mode, right?
Try asking for help on this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

Just dont panic, even if your phone is in a "hard brick" state(doubtfully),there is a fix for it too.
I suggest you do not do anything without consulting with other members.
You just have to be patient.
EDIT
Oh,and go to the Device Manager and tell me what name your G2 has when connected to the PC.

those drives SHOULD be popping out
Right click on My Computer and select "Manage"
Then,on the left part of that window, you will see the "Disk Management" option. Click it
Then, you should see a certain Disk which is separated into tons of parts.
This part is crucial!

Download the kdz suitable for your model and flash it with LG Flash Tool.
Follow the "Back to stock" guide which you mentioned in the OP.
There will be a link to the KDZ archive for various models, and make sure that you select the kdz for the 32 GB variant if you have a 32 GB variant. Because it will be dangerous if you flash a 16gb variant kdz on a 32 gb phone.
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Forums Pro.
EDIT
And if the same thing happens when flashing, fix it again(if it won't access the download mode) and try to flash while using another PC.

It is in a flashable zip,so just flash it with the TWRP which was installed by AutoRec.
You must have the bumped version of TWRP!!
After you flashed the BUMP TWRP,reboot recovery.
Here is a bootloader changer,AROMA edition:http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/d802-bootloader-changer-1-1-jb-kk-lp-t3104380

It is complicated, just do it. XD
I was asking the same thing like you.I ignored others, rushed with roms, didnt use the BUMPED TWRP and my phone was bricked.
Basically the TWRP you get with AutoRec is just capable of flashing partitions for the bootloader, not the system partition(the rom is in the system partition).
The BUMPED TWRP has a certain type of an exploit, and lets us install those system partitions.
Shortly:You can't install roms without the BUMPED TWRP.

I'm guessing my phone is refurbished?
I bought a D802 from a third-party, with:
- 32GB ROM
- 4.4.2 D80220b firmware
- 2G, 3G, 4G working
- The csmg.lgmobile.com website said that according to my IMEI, my model is the UAE 32GB D802 and gave me the D80230a firmware for manual flash via LG Flash tool.
I used the phone for a while, rooted it and used Xposed. Never got recovery so no backup(wish I'd seen the SRK tool before). Then I downloaded the firmware from the csmg.lgmobile.com website. I flashed it via the Flash tool and everything seemed fine. Then it booted:
- Touchscreen was erratic. Ghost touches, dead spots, phantom touches, whatever.
- The Baseband Version and IMEI in About Phone both say Unknown
- ROM has converted to a 16GB version
- Download mode is fine along with every other feature of the phone
After that I looked around and found a UAE D80220c firmware and flashed that. It flashed fine but all the above issues remained the same.
I browsed around extensively here and found out:
- Refurbished phones have their back cover and firmware changed to imitate D802's.
- My phone is probably some other G2 model with D802 firmware and an altered IMEI
- The actual model of my device is UNDER the motherboard. Which, apparently, I must get hold of so I can flash the appropriate stock kdz. This gets a bit too hardware-y for me.
So, basically, my phone is no more useful than a brick at the moment. Any expert help would be appreciated but here are the main questions that I'd really like answered:
A. Should I try various flashing the kdz files from different models mentioned in the link I gave up ^there until one clicks and then try to do something about the IMEI?
B. Is there any chance that my phone is beyond repair forever?
C. Should I stop messing around with my mediocre knowledge and take it to a repair shop?
hey i likely know the answer to this but i got my lg g6 stuck in qualcomm 9008 mode does anyone know anything i can try? i am planning to send this phone in for warranty over a screen issue i was having but when attempting to factory reset it crashed and ended up here. worried they wont honor the warranty now

Sounds like you got 2 warranty issues now. If the bootloader is locked, LG should honour the repair.
There's a program called QFIL (qualcomm flash) and you can use it to flash a kdz. I believe all it does is flashes download mode as once it succeeds and your phone is in download mode you would then reinstall stock kdz. I noticed there's a mention of 'firehose' though and I'm unsure yet of what that is.
Just curious: how did you manage to remove write protected partition while your bootloader is locked?

This is for those of you that have a S8+ that only boots into Upload Mode and nothing else. When you connect it to the computer it may should say Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. Others may have even told you theres nothing that can be done to fix it and that its bricked! Yes, yes, I believed too. I sent to Samsung who sent back the phone and a 850$ option for replacing the board.
I work at Northrop Grumman, they make B2s and stuff, and they happen to have a partnership with Qualcomm so I set up an account with them, downloaded official and latest QPST, QXDM, and QUD. I was able to provision the device using QFIL (unsure if required), but I was unable to flash anything with QFIL. My phone has been useless for 3 months now. I randomly try again here and there, with repeated failure and lost hope. UNTIL TODAY.
Craziest thing ever, and trust me, I know, it does not look remotely close to legit. IT IS.
basically, you do the captcha thing, it takes you to a MEGA download site, you download a zip folder that is named G955U2. Connect the phone to the computer while the screen is black and not on upload mode. The device manager should show the QDLoader 9008 in the Port section. Unzip the downloaded file. Open the folder. DOUBLE CLICK G955U2_Recovery.Bat. Do not run as admin, mine didn't work that way, only double clicking. Wait about a minute, when it says finished, boot the phone into Download mode by holding vol down + Bixby+Power. Not done yet though. SO you should have Download Mode on. Now you need to flash the Odin files, which I am currently doing myself. I have noticed a few issues but I have gotten almost there. I can only suggest flashing a BL first of your firmware and then after that's done do the AP. Once that is done you will be where I am at, and I will update once I am able to fully flash a complete firmware.
Downloads Mod edits am not sure who created that tool, where it came from, or who to thank. Alls I know is it works and is a freakin masterpiece.
Update: I have my phone up and running. On official Oreo firmware I am unable to get any network signals (wireless or mobile). On PartyCyborgRom I am able to get wifi but anytime I put a SIM card in it tells me to reboot, and does the same thing upon boot. I believe that my EFS folder is corrupt/formatted/missing. I have read that formatting the EFS folder to EXT4 can help and that it is mmcblk0p* with the * being a number. The EFS thing is the only issue I am having though. If TWRP were able to be installed on the S8+ for Sprint I would install it and format the folder through it but with the bootloader locked I am not sure its possible. Possibly thinking about completely resetting the phone back to the QDLoader and starting from complete scratch and seeing if I can format the EFS folder before flashing a firmware. Anyone know how to fix the EFS thing?
After flashing first the BL and then the AP separately I was able to flash AP+CP+CSC+BL all at once. I have now fully booted. At first, it will go into recovery and then say failed due to something about mounting an efl folder or something. What I did was mount the system and then factory reset. Then rebooted to phone, and voila. I am not sure if wifi is working just yet or what else may not work. I do know I have booted and am further than I have been before and should be much easier to fix now. I'll keep updated.
Would've been better if you posted the Mega link instead of having to jump through hoops.

I didn't want to overstep the original poster/possibly creator feet. I figured if they wanted the captcha then they should get the captcha because I would've never found it directly to the mega link, nor would have you.

Downloads I am not sure who created that tool, where it came from, or who to thank.
Anyone know how to fix the EFS thing?

there are adb codes to zero it out i just went through a corupted efs but had a backup i made in Flashfire a while back
@elliwigy might be able to help on this to as I know he has done some edl stuff
i can tell you one thing you should NOT do is mess with your efs partition.. itstores lots of information such as imei information which you shouldnt "wipe" unless you have backups and a way to restore it
try flashing a full combination firmware then back to full rom..
try flashing cp and csc files from stock firmware etc
9008 mode is EDL mode. those files are nothing new, in fact i havethe same exact files and more.. if u dont know what youre doing i wouldnt use edl more than u have to as you can do moredamagethan harm and maybe harm even edl cant recover from (yes, i bricked a hard brick in edl and had to replace the whole device)

These files are what got me out of a brick. I was in EDL from flashing a bootloader with Flashfire. Could not get the device to do anything but get into upload mode or the qdloader mode. That's what these files were for, for those who could not get out of the QDLoader thing. And I tried everything from Combo Factory Binary to qualfast, flash image loader, snapdragon flash tool, qcomm, heimdall, qcom, efs professional, DFU, DFS, Samsung PST SW DLL, CDMA Workshop, CHMC PST, Gtran, PSTlite, CDMA universal, VK Mobile, Symbian Flashing Tool, QFIL, QPST, emmc. Nothing got me out of the EDL except that link. And it was just as simple as two clicks.
As for the EFS folder, I was able to reformat the EFS so that in recovery it no longer said "unable to mount /efs" and I could do a factory reset without any mount warnings. I tried restoring a backup of another s8+, doing the erase everything but two folders in the EFS folder and flashing a combo in the AP slot and then a official firmware, nothing was able to bring back an IMEI as it displayed all 0s. There may be a way, I tried programming the IMEI with various tools. I ended up talking to sprint to have them attempt to reactivate the device on my account, while doing that I added TEP (protection plan), in the midst of trying to activate they became aware that I had 0s for my IMEI and advised I take it into a store. I did just that and it would of been a free replacement but I had a teeny unrelated smidge of a crack on the top right corner so I have to pay 140$ for a replacement/repair. I'm sure it'll be a replacement because as you said, without a backup of the EFS its pretty tough to get it back.
if u read my post i said i wouldnt use edl more than u have to if u dont kno wat ur doing.. if ur stuck in edl mode then u had no other choice..
that is what edl mode is used for, to recover from bricks..
however, u clearly wiped ur efs in the process andtheres no way to recover that so not sure y ur still trying to wipe it or recover it lol.. theresno way to recover efs if u never backed it up in the first place.. flashing random files will not magically repopulate it unfortunately
https://www.theandroidsoul.com/fix-...fibluetooth-issues-restoring-twrp-backup/amp/ there are numerous other methods for rebuilding efs folder.

Your trying to flash the wrong recovery or your method is wrong.
Go to developer options in settings and enable USB debugging if you havent already.
Make sure you have the right files and be sure the file is .tar and not .IMG
.IMG files are used to update twrp through twrp itself and .tar files are for Odin.
Connect the phone to the computer and open Odin.
Make sure to turn off auto reboot in Odin you will see a little checkbox on the left hand side.
Click on ap and locate the twrp file and flash.
Take the battery out of the phone.
Make sure you boot to recovery (vol up, power and home buttons)and do not turn on your phone yet or you will have to start all over.
Once your in twrp swipe to allow modifications then just reboot and that's it

And you definitely have USB debugging and OEM unlock enabled in developer options?
Other than that all I can think of is your computer/laptop might be at fault.
Try reinstalling the drivers from Samsung
Make sure your lead is good
Other than that I can't think of anything man.
Bad craic sorry
