I have the nokia 5 TA-1024, and I need the following applications:
Music players...no ads
video players.....no ads
gallery.....no ads
file manager....no ads
nokia does not come with these installed applications
do you have these stock applications for nokia 5?
nokia have stock google apps, you must install other one like:
Music players - sony music (search on xperia z1 forum/apkmirror).
video players - mxplayer.
gallery - piktures/sony album/camera roll
file manager - i prefer solid explorer.
How to install sony music player or sony album on my nokia 5? I'm tried to find out..

I have always loved Xperia Media apps like Music, Album, Videos, and always would install them on every phone I use. But I'm not able to install the aforementioned apps on my SM-900. I have root enabled in case that's necessary. Any help is appreciated.

I just bought an Essential yesterday (640 on swappa with the 360 camera). I noticed that there are some "stock" apps missing like music player, file manager and gallery, maybe I´ll found more later. I was wondering what you guys are using to replace this missing apps. For music I use Poweramp (bough it a few years ago, great music player), for file manager I downloaded File Explorer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mauriciotogneri.fileexplorer) and Gallery (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atomicadd.fotos)
I'm using simple file manager and simple gallery

They are intentionally left out, this phone is designed to offer software that only has the essential apps to function as a phone (except the Google apps google makes developers put on their devices). Which is the main reason I bought it. I'm lazy and stream music, I just go though storage if I need to access a file I downloaded.

Oh yeah I totally get this. My question was made because I hace not used any Gallery app or file manager other than the ones preinstalled on the stock or custom rom. So I just wanted to see more options
I use Google Play Music and Google Photos as my gallery. I also use FX File Explorer

Thanks for taking my post! Lol I use these exact apps as well. Asus offers a good file manager as well on the play store
Pulsar is what I use for music and QuickPic as gallery.
File manager in settings.
Settings>Storage>Explore
Just bought Nokia 6 yesterday though Ebay when setting up the phone i notice there is no gallery option , no music player and also no videoplayer
searched through some youtube videos also notice no preference option in my new phone

as long as you didn't buy the Chinese version, all of these app in this phone use Google's, so gallery and video player is Google photos and music player is Google play music.

I just received my u ultra and noticed that there's no gallery and no music player. I am on stock nougat (and in Europe if that's of any importance). Is it normal that these apps are missing?

It's normal. HTC replaced HTC Gallery and HTC Music with Google Photos and Google Play Music from HTC 10.
Thats correct. anyway i prefer third party apps for music and gallery. Google photos is very good gallery and you can also install quick pic if you want. I personally have both. regarding the music player - i prefer neutron even though it is paid. with oreo update even the high res option in neutron is working.
Hello friends. As we all know the Xiaomi Mi A1 does not come with most of the features of Miui. Some applications, either are missing, or are very limited.
My question is: What are the best options to replace applications such as music player, video player, contacts calendar, file manager (with option to hide file folders) and image gallery?
Google apps do the thing for me. They are great. But I use Retro Music Player as a music player and Files Go as file manager.
That's the whole point of an Android One device - you can use your favourites apps !!
My favourite Galley app is Simple Gallery by far - and any of their other apps too. File manager = an old version of ES File explorer, but the Xiaomi version is getting more use now, Music player = Poweramp, video player = vlc, Photo editor, etc
