I just installed a screen protector, and now I have to press very hard to get the screen to react. I have an s7 edge, and I have looked everywhere in settings. I've had no luck in finding the "Increase touch sensitivity" option that my s5 had. Is it possible to increase the touch sensitivity on an s7 edge?
Throw away screen protector and everything will be fine!

Hi everybody,
I have HTC Magic phone, but the touching area nears the edge of screen is not sensitive as much as the center area. About 2mm offset from the display egde (both left and right) of TFT LCD below.
For example, you can test it yourself by opening vitural keyboard, and touch it.
These letters at the edge like Q, P, Del are hard to touch correctly than others. Seem this area is not sensitive.
Solution now is using finger to swipe out when touching these letters.
Anybody can see that ?
/sorry for my spelling in tilte : edge
No any Idea ?
The Very Edge is not as good, however at 2mm in it works just fine,

I guess that's what you call a design flaw in the screens being used in these devices. Same on the Hero and Dream. They all use the same screen.
Thanks for your answers.
My friend confirmed his Magic 32A should be the same.
Has anyone found a way to adjust the touch sensitivity of the screen like on the older models. You used to be able to adjust it very sensitive to work with gloves. It seems that this screen is a little less sensitive than the S7. I find myself having to double tap a lot of things. Is it there and I am just missing it?
Good Question...but no reply yet
Yes mine is also not sensetive enough, i also have s8 plus and its much more sensetive
S8+ touch sensitivity issue
I am having an S8+ and facing the same sensitivity issue. It's very slow to respond and most of the times take more than one tap to respond. And there are no adjustments found!!

Up. Having the same issue on my S8.
Yeah sometimes I have to tap apps 3-4 times to get them to launch.
Do you all have screen protectors? I have one but I don't want to remove it cause I paid a lot for it.
I also have weak touch sensitivity on my Galaxy S8, I have to tap several times on a certain app to open it, so frustrating, will probably return my device! :/
My S8+ is over sensitive...
Is there any fix for this +
Same issues on my S8. Most time i must push 2 or 3 time to open a app.
is it just me ? I have used Tmobile and Verizon S7 on Nougat. And with both I have had trouble drawing down notification panel from any area on top of screen. I had to try 3 to 5 times before it responds. At first I thought it was the otterbox on both. But without the case its same issue. Could it be because i use the lowest display zoom . is this a general issue?
hello everyone.
first couple days that I bought the s7 edge, when my hands accidentally touched either sides of the screen, the phone responded to the touch and it was very annoying.
now after some updates, the very edge of the both sides (about 3 millimeters) doesn't respond due to prevent the accidental touch.
but I use some gestures to run various actions and I want the edges to respond to the touch as it used to be.
any help will be appreciated ?
S7 edge (G-935FD), Android 7.0
Hey guys I had the S6 edge and had issues while typing, the edges would get touched and put in characters that I didn't want there, it was annoying. Is anyone having an issue while typing in the S7 edge?
I use SwiftKey which detects the edges and doesn't show any key in the curved area.

I use kii. I have never had that problem. I can't imagine it happening too much if you swipe to type. My case may help the edges from being touched inappropriately too. Something you may want to consider is that it is hard to find a good screen protector for S7 edge.
