i have note 4 N910C, and once i finished setup it, it received 2 updates from Samsung.
if i rooted it, will it receive any future updates or i have to install new ROM manually?
and is there any way to download the new updates only not the whole ROM, if i rooted it??

Failed. It goes into bootloop. TWRP confirmed to be flashable, but that's it. I think we'll need custom kernels.

Wow, so i think you need to flash custom rom(i seen some custom roms for sm-n910p(android 5.1.1) with root, just wait for one for sm-910c)
Guys, this is BS! Why have they started locking their s***?! I bought an international version to avoid this garbage!

We need to play with the kernel. If it was a matter of customization, applying the root patches first would have worked. As of now that hasn't worked either.

We have the source code for the price so a permissive kernel is possible

Edit: apparently I was violating forum rules, so I removed a link to 4PDA
mcaserg @ 4PDA makes what I believe is the best Note 4 Kernel...
Google "4pda.ru ultimate kernel", it's topic 620217
Use chrome or something to translate the page and register...
If you get a captcha, use the google translate app on your note 4 and copy down the characters as best you can using your S-Pen...
Once you're in, there is an option to disable captcha completely for your account...
I've been using Ultimate Kernel v51 rooted on stock official 5.1.1 COH4.
You just have to install the kernel via recovery (I use TWRP), and when you tap reboot system, TWRP recovery says "SU binary not detected, install?", tap "yes"... Once booted open SuperSU and update the SU Binary.
I've attached v51, for future releases go to 4PDA... (I wont keep this thread or post updated, sorry.)
If this helped, don't hesitate to click thanks.

I know you are trying to help but I'd remove the link before the mods see it and give you a warning. Unfortunately it's banned on xda due to gpl violations

Basically yes, Odin on your phone! I've updated to latest firmware via it last night. Just download the latest firmware, extract and save the AP file to phone. Then go to FlashFire and chose Firmware Package, hey presto!

Interesting! Did it do a wipe or anything? Would I need to reinstall Viper and xposed after flashing the latest firmware using this?

So you have all options required to do what you need within the all such as wipe etc. If flashing any firmware, yes you'll have to reflash xposed. The great thing about the app is that you can put it in a queue to do it all at once so wipe, flash new firmware, flash xposed, done.

Staying stock right now as I'm sure the new update will be here in the uk within the month

Anyone on this latest version noticed a performance increase? Phone seems more solid and responsive (not that it wasn't already) and games apear to have lost the lag.

Probably a daft question but where can I find a definitive UK update? I've seen a few links on XDA but the information is muddied based on international variations. I'm currently rooted and running xposed v81. I also have FlashFire, which I used to flash the latest xposed. Thanks for any assistance.

On a related note I have an EE EVR build, could I switch to BTU or would that create issues for my device? I ask because the BTU firmware is more up to date than the EE.
