Here are my custom CWM recovery OTA updates for the international S3
NOTE: For STOCK Rom users only. Your CSC must be I9300OXABLG6. If you have made any changes to files in the /system folder it will fail.
If like me your using a stock ROM rooted with custom recovery or kernel and want to update without downloading the whole ROM and risk losing root and recovery in the process. These modded updates are for you to save time, bandwith and frustration.
Current OTA update: XXBLG6 to XXBLG8
ota.update.all.XXBLG8.zip 4 MB
ota.update.no.modem.XXBLG8.zip 4 MB
ota.update.no.kernel.XXBLG8.zip 542 KB
ota.update.no.kernel.and.modem.XXBLG8.zip 541 KB
All the zips here will not replace your custom recovery or remove root. The no kernel and no modem zips are intended for users with a custom kernel and or want to keep their current baseband.
Tested and working on CWM 6.0.1.0 Touch and Chainfire's CWM 5.5.0.4
If you've got the OTA update notification nag, to get rid of it do this:
1. Using a file explorer with root permissions, I use ES. Go to /cache/fota ,In there will be the update.zip
2. Delete it or move it to your sd card.
3. Bring up the updater from the notifications and press install and OK, it should fail.
4. Notification nag gone.
Older OTA updates:
Austria (T-Mobile)
ota.update.XXALE8-XXBLFB.CSC-MAXLF2.zip 72 MB
ota.update.no.kernel.XXALE8-XXBLFB.CSC-MAXLF2.zip 67 MB
If you have got any older OTA updates, could you make them available for download so I can convert them.
Nice work mate, I'm sure a lot of people will find this very useful.

+1 very well done. People who have not recieved ota or for some reason are still on lg6 like me will love it
Could you help converting other OTA updates as well? I got a I9300XXALE8 and an OTA update of I9300XXBLFB,
Do I need a full wipe to flash them?
Thanks.

Its an "update". Why would you need wipe for an update

Sorry that it didnt work for you guys. Your CSC must be I9300OXABLG6 and you must be on stock XXBLG6 for it to update. If you've got a branded phone it won't work either. What errors was it showing in CWM?

Its in the '/cache/recovery' folder. That status 7 error means it failed the assert test for the model fingerprint I believe. You can only flash this update on a XXBLG6 rom and your CSC must be I9300OXABLG6. To check what ROM and CSC your using, do this.
1. Open your keypad dialer
2. Press *#1234#
3. It should show your ROM and CSC. AP = ROM and CP = Baseband.

1. The best is wait till your country receive the udpate. But you can try Poland firmware if your device isn't branded or unlocked.
2. You can use CF-AUTO-Root for root your device.
3. Xposed Framework for android 5.0 still in development. SU works correctly.
4. You can install this APP for know your CSC (country code).

Hi,
I also flashed the official 5.0 Rom from Poland, it works perfectly. I came from official 4.4.2 rom unrootet, brand free, germany.
Now my question is:
How can I root the 5.0 rom from poland?
Important for me is, that mhl out is still working afterwards.
Does triggering knox create any other problems (excl. warrenty)?
Thank you for your help!

Dude! Stop being lazy, we're not here to spoonfeed you. This isn't called forum.xda-spoonfeeders.com, a simple Google search would have given you the result you were looking for. Helping other users when they have a problem = yes. Doing other users dirty work when it comes to performing a simple search on Google = No.
And besides, sb game hacker is warez and is strictly prohibited here. If you want more lives - buy them, if you want more money - buy it, if you want all levels unlocked - play the game properly....stop cheating! Thread reported to moderator!

Exactly that. A long time ago i wanted to ask him if Google is banned in his country ?
99.5% of his questions could be resolved by a simple search. But obviously spoon feeding is what he prefers. And i can't belive how many people do spoon feed him.

I am against spoon-feeding as well but a simple Google search as you guys lately use to mention quite a lot is not really that simple, I mean typing the keywords and hitting the enter button couldn't be more simple but the search results are not, and that's the relevancy of this post.
Also a lot of people reply anyway, yet they don't care to actually help a member. You guys do realise that XDA isn't really a place of all Einsteins right (no place is)? And you didn't grow up in an hour either? Getting the points?

So you have all options required to do what you need within the all such as wipe etc. If flashing any firmware, yes you'll have to reflash xposed. The great thing about the app is that you can put it in a queue to do it all at once so wipe, flash new firmware, flash xposed, done.

On a related note I have an EE EVR build, could I switch to BTU or would that create issues for my device? I ask because the BTU firmware is more up to date than the EE.
I have a note3, N9005, which was root. I used Full unroot option of supersu, now root checkers tell that my phone is not root, but the status is still custom, is there any way to change it to normal without doing root again? I searched a lot, but all the solutions for this purpose need to be rooted. Can you please help me with this problem. I really need to update my android, and don't wanna use a custom rom. Thanks a lot.
