I'm pretty sure that if the model and firmware don't match up, you don't get updates.

I just bought a new Huawei Nova - CAZ-TL10 in China. It cames with the regular chinese firmware version: CAZ-TL10C01B170
I want to update it to an international firmware with Google Play and all other features that I doesn't have in my chinese version.
I had a Huawei P6 and P7 and was easier to update the firmware from original chinese Android to an international version, but for this Huawei Nova I didn't found many information and a firmaware compatible with it.
Does anyone have the same problem and already solved it?
Thanks!
Why not try and report on what happens?

I download an international firmware (CAN-L11 C432 B320), but it failed to install in my Huawei Nova CAZ-TL10.
Most information that I've found are to update Huawei Nova that already came with an international version (CANNES or CAN models).
I didn't found many information about my version such as how install Google Play or update this firmware:
Model Number: Huawei CAZ-TL10
Built number: CAZ-TL10C01B170
EMUI 4.1
Android 6.0

Ask the seller if it's possible and how to install google play.
I installed google play through hiapp on my CAZ-AL10. It works, but you cannot update the playstore or it will send you an error.
If you update it to emui 5, google play store and features will be available, at least it was for me. Just apply for it at HiCare app > Update and if it is available, then you be able to update.
I have Nova from China too. After updating to 5, I found 3 essential files of Google are already available in my App. Google services, account manager and framework. Then I installed other apps via Google installer app and rebooted. After reboot, run Google play store and add your account and update...that easy.
I had the same issue. I added play store using hiapp as well. Has anyone figured out how to change hivoice to google play (or any other English voice recognition app) when u hold down the home button?
Only options I get are for Chinese voices and I don't know Chinese
CAZ AL 10
How can i revert to stock rom on my nova cazal10, my phone has unoffical eu rom
Can you change the version to global?
I Recently Purchased a Huawei Mate 9 Pro (LON-AL00) from China that has a stock version of Nougat on for the Chinese market.
This Means No Google apps and some apps are in Chinese.
I would like to install a different software version on the phone but not sure what process to follow. I've downloaded firmware finder but it seems all firmware available for LON-AL00 are also for the Chinese market.
How do I install a different version on this handset?

Go to hiapp or appgallery, install playstore or a google apps installer, if that doesnt work, then use the browser to install play services from apkmirror. Then install a china vpn to change to a chinese ip to update to oreo in system update, then idk find like one of the phh roms for project treble oreo they are all english and stock android. Or if your are lazy pay for funky huawei to do it for you.
Hi guys,
A colleague asked me to help me setup his new phone and I noticed that he has the Mainmang 6. As far as I know is the chinese version of P10 lite.
I don't have time to search every topic in this forum, so I ask for your help.
Is it possible to flash a global rom on this phone and where should I start?
I just need google services and play store.
On the screenshot you can see the model and the rom installed on phone right now. There is also an update to oreo but I will wait for your replies before install the update.

First of all I am almost sure that MAIMANG 6 is the equivalent to mate 10 lite and not Huawei p10 lite. (Because Huawei mate 10 lite have the model number RNE-....) And the Huawei p10 lite have WAS-...)
Also you are write that is a Chinese version because it says AL00 so it's Chinese.
Maybe you should be in the forum of Huawei mate 10 lite and not Huawei p10 lite.
But the basics are:
Unlock bootloader. Install TWRP. Change region.
------or-----
Unlock bootloader. Install TWRP and then custom ROM
Don't know if that matters to you but you can't install an Google play apk from your current browser. Then you can install all your applications.
If you only want Google play this might help.
Hope I helped you.
That's why I didn't find anything about RNE, I am on the wrong sub forum.
Thanks I take a look there...
Hi
I have a Nokia 6 TA-1000 4/64GB version (it's Chinese version I guess) with 7.1.1 Android. I'm looking for a suitable guide for updating my phone to global version with automatic updates. I want to have Android 8 or higher. There's a lot of tutorials on this forum, but I don't know which one is up to date and will not damage my phone. Could you send me a link to a suitable topic/post?

First of all, take backup of all your data!!
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/how-to/guide-convert-nokia-6-global-variant-to-t3838082
This is the best guide, i used this to convert my TA-1000 to TA-1021
First make sure you flash dec 2017 7.1.2 this TA 1025, this is how i did it.
Then flash TA1021_PLE-558B-0-00WW-B01 with OST LA, you will need to extract the .7z file and load the .mlf file in OST LA for flash.
If your PC cannot detect your phone, ill give you another one that will work.(happened with me, but try the ost in the OP)
Once you flash, it will update to pie, once updated, mine got stuck at NOKIA boot logo, so i force restart to recovery and erased cache and wiped data, then reboot and it should be fine.
Dear all,
hope you are fine and doing well in the current pandemic situation. i have purchased nova 7 5g for work related to replace my broken p30 pro. and i couldn't manage to install google play service on it as the firmware is not supported by googlefier. also the do search a lot for a way to rollback but with no luck to find the suitable rom matching my device. also i contact Huawei service center they said they can only rollback to the latest EMUI10 available before Emui11. huawei firmware finder is not helping as the version i need is removed and the rom link is not working as i try to do it with hisuite proxy app.
my rom details is
JEF-N29-PRELOAD 10.1.1.1(C185R2)
if any one can help me to find the rom or the way to install googles play service i will be thankful.
thanks in advance
Update:
I manage to go down to 10.1.1.149 but still lzplay app not working.
Just tried rollbacking via hisuite and i think ive hit a wall as well. stuck on emui 10.1 since i think that is the stock emui software the device came on
Hey guys,
I'm not sure of the actual reason, however lzplay will not work on JEF-NX9. After searching a long time, youtube videos of successful installations were using JEF-AN00 or JEF-TN00.
I need huwavi nova 75g jef nx9 downgrade file plz
