I Recently Purchased a Huawei Mate 9 Pro (LON-AL00) from China that has a stock version of Nougat on for the Chinese market.
This Means No Google apps and some apps are in Chinese.
I would like to install a different software version on the phone but not sure what process to follow. I've downloaded firmware finder but it seems all firmware available for LON-AL00 are also for the Chinese market.
How do I install a different version on this handset?

Go to hiapp or appgallery, install playstore or a google apps installer, if that doesnt work, then use the browser to install play services from apkmirror. Then install a china vpn to change to a chinese ip to update to oreo in system update, then idk find like one of the phh roms for project treble oreo they are all english and stock android. Or if your are lazy pay for funky huawei to do it for you.

Hey Guys,
I recently bought another P8Lite phone to replace my other P8Lite that I broke (ALE-L21), but this time, because I am overseas I got the ALE-UL00 version, I can see this is the chinese version of the same phone, lots of bloatware, no Google Apps, No play store, no google services, etc, there are some stuff that I cant remove in the dialer and in other apps... All this in chinese.
Any chance I can convert this in a ALE-L21 or some other European Version?
Thanks

No need to convert. Personally i say that the chineese firmwares are more elaborated. Update to 230, 240, 551, 556. AFTER that open bootloader, install root, twrp (you will find tutorials here on p8-lite general section) and after that simply flash b564 modified firmware (cooked by sokkoban: http://huaweip8lite.blogspot.ro)

From android 6 (b550 and up i think) the local update option disappears. Howewer you can restore via twrp by flashing this: Patch HwOUC
Oh, and on sokkobans blog you will find LOT of modofied firmwares. Ones for eu version (need flash via twrp region: hw/eu) and mores for cn region (flash via twrp: unicomelectric/cn)
For other info, please READ the forum, you will found the answers for sure.
Thanks for the help, it was very enlightening!

Hi there,
My wife has this P8 Lite (Young named model in fact) version ALE-TL00C01B250, which is a Chinese model with Chinese firmware.
I want to upgrade it to the lastest official chinese firmware, but the built-in sytem update check tells there is no other version available (Android 5.1.1, UI 3.1).
I have seen around some how-tos to convert to international version of P8Lite with Marshmallow, involving root and required tools. But we just want to keep the Chinese firmware, without having to install google apps and want to keep the so-called 'chinese bloatware'. So, basically we just need to find the official chinese firmware for the phone and use it, perdiod... but as I can't read Chinese, searching on officialor unofficial Huawei chinese forums is pointless.
Thus, some help here would be really appreciated to get the official Chinese update file and how to apply it properly.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Download firmware from either Huawei's official website or carbon Tesla and update it by going in setting--->updater---->local update.
.
.
You may lose is data so I recommend to make a backup.
Thanks for your replay, but the Carbon Tesla does not provide any ALE-TL00 firmware, only ATE-L21 which doesn't fit our purpose.
Huawei's official website (in Chinese to access ALE-TL00 firmware) is... in Chinese, and I can't read or find what I need... same as I mentioned it already for the official forum... but even after trying some 'random' clicks, I found only Lolipop version of firmware...

You SHOULD obtain the beta update.
1. Be sure: your phone must have original recovery and unrooted
2. Via HiCare (not from play store, but that preinstalled). From here go to beta testing, or rom update (accept the terms, maybe the text is in chineese but this you will understand)
3. If none above are working, try installing twrp, root, and flash sokkobans modified b564 cn firmware
(read the instructions)

Yes, we've got access to teh HiCare installed app, and there is an update offers (B551). Unfortunaterly, we have no account, and making one leads to error (probably a country issue).
But that's something I can try to fix.
Thanks!
I got a chinese rom on my KIW-UL00 Honor 5x, although I changed the language in android a lot of preinstalled huawei apps are for China only (some only in chinese, some use services available in China only)
Is there a way to just flash it with a stock (Huawei) from the "western" modells?
You can try Titanium Backup to disable or uninstall system apps.
You can install a western firmware, but it's kinda risky
I just bought a new Huawei Nova - CAZ-TL10 in China. It cames with the regular chinese firmware version: CAZ-TL10C01B170
I want to update it to an international firmware with Google Play and all other features that I doesn't have in my chinese version.
I had a Huawei P6 and P7 and was easier to update the firmware from original chinese Android to an international version, but for this Huawei Nova I didn't found many information and a firmaware compatible with it.
Does anyone have the same problem and already solved it?
Thanks!
Why not try and report on what happens?

I download an international firmware (CAN-L11 C432 B320), but it failed to install in my Huawei Nova CAZ-TL10.
Most information that I've found are to update Huawei Nova that already came with an international version (CANNES or CAN models).
I didn't found many information about my version such as how install Google Play or update this firmware:
Model Number: Huawei CAZ-TL10
Built number: CAZ-TL10C01B170
EMUI 4.1
Android 6.0

Ask the seller if it's possible and how to install google play.
I installed google play through hiapp on my CAZ-AL10. It works, but you cannot update the playstore or it will send you an error.
If you update it to emui 5, google play store and features will be available, at least it was for me. Just apply for it at HiCare app > Update and if it is available, then you be able to update.
I have Nova from China too. After updating to 5, I found 3 essential files of Google are already available in my App. Google services, account manager and framework. Then I installed other apps via Google installer app and rebooted. After reboot, run Google play store and add your account and update...that easy.
I had the same issue. I added play store using hiapp as well. Has anyone figured out how to change hivoice to google play (or any other English voice recognition app) when u hold down the home button?
Only options I get are for Chinese voices and I don't know Chinese
CAZ AL 10
How can i revert to stock rom on my nova cazal10, my phone has unoffical eu rom
Can you change the version to global?
Dear all,
hope you are fine and doing well in the current pandemic situation. i have purchased nova 7 5g for work related to replace my broken p30 pro. and i couldn't manage to install google play service on it as the firmware is not supported by googlefier. also the do search a lot for a way to rollback but with no luck to find the suitable rom matching my device. also i contact Huawei service center they said they can only rollback to the latest EMUI10 available before Emui11. huawei firmware finder is not helping as the version i need is removed and the rom link is not working as i try to do it with hisuite proxy app.
my rom details is
JEF-N29-PRELOAD 10.1.1.1(C185R2)
if any one can help me to find the rom or the way to install googles play service i will be thankful.
thanks in advance
Update:
I manage to go down to 10.1.1.149 but still lzplay app not working.
Just tried rollbacking via hisuite and i think ive hit a wall as well. stuck on emui 10.1 since i think that is the stock emui software the device came on
Hey guys,
I'm not sure of the actual reason, however lzplay will not work on JEF-NX9. After searching a long time, youtube videos of successful installations were using JEF-AN00 or JEF-TN00.
I need huwavi nova 75g jef nx9 downgrade file plz
