What's happening with my phone and that's Bixby? Since Bixby has been updated I'm trying to make my voice recognition settings (where I have to go with the same timbre and intonation) and every time it shows me this:
Also, while I try this, If someone calls me, I pick it up, but I do not hear him? Why?

Is some other app using microphone.
Try restarting your phone.
Or you may have an overlay.

has anyone tried it?
does it work?
it works fine, only problem I had was a force close when trying to find weather. I only played with it for a few minutes.

Same here, only weather started to work after a while, like if I only said "weather" instead of the whole phrase. Only real problems I'm noticing so far is that talk back can be iffy (only works sometimes) and I get a fc every time I try to set a wake command in settings. I'm sure there is more to report, only played with it a bit.

It doesn't know where to hide a dead body
Gues I'll have to ask someone with an iphone to help me..
what makes this any different than voice actions, jeannie, or vlingo? actually those seem to work better than s-voice....
It seems to only handle small requests. Like "open music" and open "XDA". Its faster to just open the app from the drawer. It is pretty funny trying to send SMS and looking at what it thinks you said. Or just messing around, like "Text *blank* message o I c u 8 1 2. Try turning up your media volume in volumes menu and unchecking "link volumes" to get talk back.

I have a GN3 from Verizon. Every time I text someone or call a contact my phone freezes up for about 15 seconds. This happens mostly when I'm texting. I'm not using a stock keyboard but it does it just as bad when I'm using the built in one. This happens constantly but I don't see any other threads on this topic. Didn't figure I could be the only one.
Any suggestions?
What keyboard are you using? Are you stock/rooted/custom ROM?

By logical deduction, if this doesn't happen in any other app when you're using the keyboard, then something is up with your messaging app.
Does this happen in any other app? Have you tested it in a 3rd party sms app like handcent?

I use Swiftkey as my keyboard. However, it also freezes when I'm in contacts trying to make a phone call not only when I'm typing. It just happens most often when I'm typing.

I just wrote about this exact issue using hangouts as my default SMS. Once I got rid of it, everything went back to normal.

I'm not using Hangouts as my SMS client.
If your still completely stock, I'd try factory data reset. You'll lose everything, so definitely back up what you can.
Once the reset is done try texting with no apps installed. If it works fine, I'd slowly install apps while testing the texts to see what is causing the feeezing.

Did a factory reset on Saturday. So far so good. Today is the first day back at work so I'll get some stats today.
It seem like ims service is constantly trigger the cpu wakelock? Does anyone know if I can safely disable it? What would not work if i disable it?
I tried disabling it on mine, and my dialer no longer worked correctly. So I'd say no, it's not safe to delete.

I was hoping it just related to the wifi calling from the search I have done. I guess I will hold off this idea for now then.

I turn off wifi calling. I'm not sure if i need turn of HD calling..
Ive uninstalled it completely via Titanium backup, no issues what so ever, dialer still works, im running Oreo on a S8+.
Confirmed, I've also uninstalled com.sec.ims, com.sec.imsservice and additionally I've uninstalled com.sec.epdg. No issues so far.
My understanding is that IMS is basically responsible for provisioning all carrier related features such as HD calling, Wifi Calling, ADV Messaging, etc. If you need/want things like that then you must not disable. Otherwise you should be ok.
Hi,
I bought a Galaxy note 4 and made a Samsung account that is linked to this phone. Recently, I was compelled to do a factory reset. Every time I go through the steps of opening my phone, there is a step asking for the Samsung account's email and password to see if it belongs to me. I typed the SAME email I ever used in this phone. But always a message shows saying"processing failed". I changed the password from the website "account.samsung.com" and waited for 2 days but still have the same problem.
Please help me regarding this issue.
Thanks.
You can try this?

"4. When the calls start swipe to the left on the dialing screen and you will see message and browser displayed (in my case the message method doesn't works)."
I couldn't do this step. I swiped in all direction, nothing happened.

Hi,
I have been experiencing slow notifications on my S8 ever since I bought it, specifically with apps like Twitter and Skype. After research, I tested turning off the app power monitor, but that did not help. Then, I tried disabling the google app and the problem was fixed. However, I do use the google app on a regular basis so I would like to find a different way to fix the problem. I have also tried a phone reset with no results.
Thanks in advanced for any help!

Go really if that works by stopping the google application.
I have it like that, but there are many other things that I lose when I deactivate that function, for example the dictation to google voice, a function that is widely used by me.
I read that Nougat did not pass.
Amazing that there is no solution to this. There is no other solution?
