Hi .
Banging my head against the wall on this one. I've had TWRP & Lineage OS 14 installed on my S4 i9505 for a while now and it had been working great. This morning instead of booting properly it boots directly into recovery mode. To try and fix I've updated TWRP to the latest version, reformatted all partitions, installed a new version of Lineage and reinstalled the boot loader all to no effect. The only other odd thing I can see if that on the boot screen the message "Set Warranty Bit: recovery"
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
fixed
I found the problem. The volume up button had gotten stuck/depressed somehow and that was throwing off the boot sequence. Taking the phone apart and reassembling did the trick.
Cheers

Hi,
I was on a rooted android 4.4.2 official, when i tried to install custom recovery using Flashify.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify
There was the Secure booting error and booted normaly.I found out that this was not possible so i quit.
Today a got an update from LG so i installed it. The phone rebooted giving the Secure booting error, and it stayed black screen.
Googling i found this tread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
I folowed it but i thought since my phone had problem with it's recovery, just flashing the recovery.img would be ok.
I restarted the phone bat it would not start. It desplays the lg logo restarts, lg logo restarts.
I can boot the recovery but it does not work. When i press recover it just restarts.
I cant boot download mode or anything else, i have been googling the hole day.
I would apricciate your help. It is a one month old phone.....
Thanks

are u stuck in cmw recovery??
Stock recovery.... :/
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Free mobile app
Same Problem here! Exact Same
Also having this issue, stuck in the secure boot loop, can't get to download mode.
Im exactly the same - im stuck in TWRP and cant boot into Download mode at all - just get the LG Bootscreen then straight into TWRP Recovery no matter what i do
Did we all except some kind of update from LG........ i wonder if this the link here and is now a common problem?
Mine was this and i thought it was just an app update for the stock apps and now im stuck big time
Any luck guys or solutions then please post here so we can keep it together and help each other!
Yeah I got an OTA update for my D803-Bell model, upon restart entered the secure boot error loop.
Sounds like, via this thread that it's commonly happening to people who had TWRP or CWM (or even aborted / possibly never completed installs like me) got nailed.
As per that thread, and everything else, I've tried every option possible -- no download mode. Recovery mode doesn't restore anything, just resterts to lg logo -> secure boot error -> black screen. Shows as QSHSUSB_BULK in windows/linux, and I can see those 25 partitions in linux (but reflashing openrecoverytwrp__.img over the recovery partition didn't help. I'm waiting to find out how I can make my own copies of those various partitions listed, from another D803-Bell model I have access to. All the D803 .img files on those links in that thread, appear to not contain D803 Bell stuff, just Telus, Rogers, etc... so I'll likely have to source my own.
I just took a shot in the dark recommended by a friend -- and fixed my phone.
I zeroed out the 'fota' partition on the phone. As seen in this thread ; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
Just did a dd if=/dev/zero overtop of the fota partition, which was 25 for me from my linux box. One quick power cycle later, and I'm fully functional again, and the OTA update that killed me is still showing as available again.
Hi all,
I have a UK N910F 32GB Snapdragon Note 4, with a custom Lollipop rom that I've been using with no problems for a few months (http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/rom-bob4-devbase-multi-csc-safe-bloat-t3033881). Yesterday the weirdness began - my Note 4 froze randomly in normal use and rebooted. It was then fine for around 5 hours, then froze again, and when it restarted it would continue to freeze on start-up. At that stage I could still boot into recovery (Clockwork Manager custom recovery), so I tried clearing cache and dalvik, which changed nothing. But now I am unable to do even that - it just gets stuck in bootloop and won't even go into recovery.
When I turn it on, it will stay on the Samsung splashscreen for 10 seconds, then reboot and vibrate twice, then go back onto splashscreen, reboots, etc. I need to remove the battery to stop this. The only thing I am able to do is boot into download mode, where the phone works with Odin fine, and I am able to flash successfully with Odin.
So far I have tried reflashing a stock UK 5.0.1 ROM - it initially gave me the ext4 error but I then got the N910F pit file and repartitioned - Odin flashing completed fine, then still got stuck on splashscreen with "Recovery booting...."). I have also tried to flash CWM and TWRP, which both flash fine, but then the phone still won't boot into recovery - I get:
#1 Battery in
#2 power on
#3 vibrate
#4 screen on RECOVERY BOOTING
Recovery is NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit : recovery
and doesn't boot into recovery. I'm pretty sure I'm using the correct TWRP and CWM versions.
I've spent all day trawling XDA and the wider web with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I'm hoping it is a softbrick but cannot work out how to get it back. I don't care about losing any data at this stage, just keen to bring my Note 4 back to life!
TL;DR: phone will stay on bootloop when powered on - not caused by failed software install, just started happening randomly. Cannot boot into recovery. Download mode works and can flash with Odin, but all attempted flashes so far haven't helped even when Odin succeeds in flashing.

Have you tried flashing your variants cf-root file with auto reboot unchecked, let it Pass, remove USB abd battery, wait 30 seconds and reboot? Sounds weird.. i know, but for a while that put many users on 5.0.1 softbricks back to their previous working ROM.
I've just done that, it flashed successfully, I took battery and cable out and then rebooted after 30 seconds - it is now booting onto Samsung bootscreen, says:
RECOVERY BOOTING
Recovery is NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit : recovery
Then reboots itself, same thing happens, reboots itself - back to a bootloop, but with the above written.
What's the fix for the above? Does it mean the recovery installed is wrong for the Android Rom version I have?
Thanks for your help so far, much appreciated.

If you can still boot into the download mode and want to boot into the system as normal, using Samsung's Smart Switch tool will work. Search Google for "Samsung Smart Switch" no quotes, install the program then after finished installing, in the application, click MORE at the Smart Switch window, then click Emergency software recovery and initialization, then follow on-screen steps.

Just tried that, same issue. When it boots after installation, it says "Recovery booting..." in top left corner, then goes into bootloop. Thanks for the tip though.
Any other ideas out on the grapevine? Or is it time for a return?
I'm having the same issue. Tried stock ANK4, BOB4 and BOC3. Only bootloops and can't reach recovery mode.
Than I tried TWRP 2.8.7.0 and "philz_touch_6.59.0-trlte" but they don't work either.
Don't know what to do now. Never had this issue before on any Samsung device
EDIT: Tried Samsung Smart Switch and it dowloaded PDA: OC3 / CSC: OB6 / PHONE: OC3 (DTM). But my Note bootloops furthermore
Saw 2 other guys with the same Problem and no solution here.
And I found this. This could be the same issue we are facing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840030
Hope there is a dev that can make this for our 910F
Hi all
This is now also happening to me...
Have Odind back to stock and it works for about 4 hours,
Then issue starts...
Reboots randomly
Then reboots to blank screen... No recovery
Again uk note 4. 910f
Hey guys I was trying to flash MIUI 8 on my a6000 lenovo. Bear with me because I'm new to this so I might have screwed up.
Rooted and installed TWRP perfectly. Phone was running kitkat.
I then, through TWRP tried to flash MIUI 8 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-a6000/development/rom-miui-7-lenovo-a6000-a6000-t3355692
After first swiping right to install the zip, i got an "error executing binary in zip" error. Wiped dalvik, etc. again and tried again and then I got a MD5 file not found "warning". It was not in red letters and after that message there was no progress bar or anything and the phone just stopped responding. I assumed it wasn't working and few minutes later took the battery out. After trying to boot again it would give me the "mi.com" boot screen (not the default lenovo I used to get) and won't boot into neither recovery nor normal mode. (for recovery boot I'm trying holding both volume buttons and the power button at the same time. perhaps that is different now?)
I'm guessing the flashing was going on and i interrupted it. How can I fix this?
Update: It boots into MIUI now however pretty much nothing works as expected. It wont even go into settings. Recovery still seems botched and i cant boot into it.
TLDR: Recovery broken cant boot into it. Can boot into MIUI with very limited capabilities. Cannot select USB debugging and "adb devices" won't find the phone. What can I do?
Alright nevermind guys I managed to fix it. for anyone wondering or having the same issue, i tried many things but what I think worked is this:
Turnt on my phone in fastboot mode (hold volume - and power button) , connected it to the computer and used command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" to flash the old TWRP i had on my computer. After that I managed to boot my phone in recovery mode and reflash the rom properly. The weird thing is, my phone could not be recognized by the computer and "adb devices" gave me nothing back so I thought using any fastboot command wouldn't work. Oddly, it did and it flashed TWRP back into my phone.
Hi Everyone,
I originally flashed LineageOS and it wirked beautifully. Then I thought I wanted root.... After trying some things that didn't work I flashed my tablet back to stock to get it working again and then attempted to reinstall LineageOS cleanly. But now, after flashing the recovery with Heimdall, when I power off with Vol-down and Power and immediately switch back to Vol-up and power, the regular warning screen shows up with the standard message: "This tablet's bootloader is unlocked and it's software integrity can't be verified..." Then the same screen with a yellow warning triangle
added and below that another warning triangle and in Red "This tablet is not running Samsung's official software" and you will have problems...
After this screen appears the tablet freezes and becomes unresponsive to all but the Power and vol-down shutdown. It then reboots and freezes again.
I can get back to Download mode and reflash the stock with Odin but loading the lineage recovery seems impossible.
I can get to the stock recovery with adb reboot recovery
Is there some way to bypass what looks like a security measure? Does someone know more about this?
In the stock recovery is has the option to enter fastboot. Is this a real fastboot, as in I could load a recovery straight from my computer?
Not sure how to get back to LineageOS, or what my next step should be.
Thanks in advance,
Murphy
Update: I got it working again and reinstalled LineageOS
What worked was using Asomeslayerg's Guide to Unlocking and Rooting the S6 Lite with updated instructions in the comments from gbeyts667. Thanks to those fine souls!
It seems some combination of using an older version of the stock image (I used the one from the guide from around last year) and patching with magisk re-enabled my ability to enter recovery mode after flashing the lineage recovery.
I hope this helps someone else.
Has anyone used magisk to root LineageOS on the S6 lite? Does it work? Can you just use the lineage recovery for that?
Would love to know! Thanks in advance.
I've had a Galaxy SM-T510 for about 18 months. I installed a custom ROM and it worked fine. When it booted up I received a message "Bootloader is unlocked and security cannot be guaranteed, press power button" and when you pressed the power button it booted up fine. Recently, I installed TWRP and when I rebooted it goes to the some "Bootloader is unlocked, etc" error message, but when you press the power key it restarts and loops to the same point. Holding the power key, with volume up, volume down or both makes no difference. I installed Fonepaw which appears to only work in Download mode which I can't access. If I run Odin or Kies it doesn't recognise that there is a phone attached. Any suggestions?
I've solved the problem. Holding down both volume up & volume down at the same time, and plugging it in puts the device into download mode.
Actually, I haven't solved the problem. I can now install an OS thru either Odin or TWRP, but all the OS I have tried go into a bootloop and the device never finishes booting up.
I'm disappointed no one has any suggestions. I decided to replace TWRP with Orange Fox and installed Lineage, the device of course went into a bootloop. I then booted it into recovery and it went into TWRP. So I installed Orange Fox and wiped everything, I reebooted and this time it went into Orange Fox. I reinstalled Lineage -> another bootloop, tried to get back into recovery and it was TWRP.

You aren't getting help because you are posting in the wrong place. And, if you are coming from an old custom ROM, you have to first flash the right stock ROM. I no longer have a 510 so I'm not sure which stock ROM you need but if you check the first post for the custom ROM you want in the ROMs, kernels and recovery thread, it should tell which one it is based on.
