Back navigation button working automatically - Xiaomi Redmi 3s Questions & Answers

I'm facing a very strange problem. My back navigation button works automatically, even though I haven't touched it. The phone is lagging immensely. I hard reset the phone but it didn't work. While setting up the phone, the back button keeps on running by itself , followed by it's vibration. Please help.

So none of my buttons work except the Comm Manager button...

wtf?! They all worked fine an hour ago (power, camera, talk, softkeys, messages...) and now they don't. It isn't a hardware issue because when it goes into standby, I can press the power button to bring it out of standby. Now though, I can't open anything using their respective keys and can't power it off. Anyone have any issues like this? I hadn't installed anything or even been using the phone from the time they worked to the time they stoped working.
Try opening settings -> buttons ->lock and click in "dont lock keys"
Had similar problems that now for some reason went away.

Unfortunately, I tried that and it didn't fix it. It's so odd that the Comm Manager button works when the phone is on and that the power button will work to turn it on or to wake it up. Are there places in the registry that control what the buttons do? Maybe I need to reset this thing? I love this phone when it isn't locking or acting up.
So I reset the phone to it's factory settings. After I went through the calibration and setup, the keys still weren't working. Before I did the reset, I did notice the keyboard keys weren't working either . So after the reset, the buttons still weren't working. I kept just typing stuff in on the keyboard with Word open and it finally started working...all buttons are still working now, but I don't trust it much. Should I bring it in to Cingular to get a new one? I'm still within my 30 days
Yes. If you can get a new one do it. do it.

HELP!! buttons not working

Today I noticed my hardware buttons aren't working(camera, red, green). I can't figure it out and it's making it super hard to use my phone. The lights on the buttons are also on full time. I can't do a hard reset because my buttons aren't working. Ive also tried installing other roms but i keep getting error 262 in the rom installer. Please help me guys.
Ok, I couldn't hard reset the phone, but I was able to reinstalled the bell 6.1 rom. THIS DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. The lights on the buttons are still permenently lit, even if the phone is turned off. The red, green, camera buttoms DONT work. Please help me. I've tried leaving the battery out for 20 mins as well as countless soft resets
Same problem
I have the same issue, but my lights aren't staying on. the phone will sit there and i can turn it on, then i can't turn it off or use the hardware buttons. I'm curious as to what you have installed on the phone. I had an issue with the hard lights staying when i used google latitude in their maps application.
Do you have the new version of Skype installed? Vers. 3?

T-Mobile MDA/Wizard Malfunctioning?

Hello there, I am quite new to this forum, only being a lurker for quite some time. But I have decided to join because I am in dire need of help. My MDA/Wizard has suddenly gone out of control. I have had Mobile 6.1 installed on it for years with no problem, and the .cabs I have are working fine.
Now, recently, my phone has acted in a very unfavorable manner that has even caused me to hard reset it to it's original state, with still no luck. On about three different occasions, my phone's lights, keyboard and face, have gone off, and stay on until the phone locks. The main buttons, (Directional arrows, Exit, Call, Internet Explorer, and Mail) do not function unless I press a top right hand corner button on the keyboard twice. From there, it slightly functions. When I quickly press the power button and press it again, the phone will enter its mail area. Doing this again opens up internet explorer. Pressing the center button in the directional pad causes the screen adjustment function to suddenly appear. The keyboard can barely function.
I have no idea what's causing this, any help please?
try getting the newest hard spl and flashing a new rom. maybe your rom got corrupted

strange keyboard problem

I experienced something strange with my Qtek 9100 today. when i turned on my phone, all the keys including the call and the 'hang up'-button where backlighted. the keys did not respond as they should, and pressing the d-pad center would either open the start menu or initialize the screen calibration. if i opened the Notes app and created a new note, the note was filled with single letters like the L, the H or the Y. none of the keys seemed to be working when i pressed them.
i've experienced this once before, and the only thing in common is that i had my phone in a thight pocket for several hours. last thime i solved the problem by hibernate the unit and pressing all the keys, and turn it on again. this time it wasn't that easy, but i managed to get it working again at last.
but why is this happending?
PS: i've tried soft reset and taking out the battery, and that didn't help.
Please help me and my phone

Hi,
I think I have the same issue, sometimes my back and recent buttons are not illuminated and do not work.
Sometimes the home / back buttons work by themselves to minimise or quit apps.
No idea why it happens, it seems to be intermittent and unpredictable, but it is frustrating. If anyone has a fix I would be glad to hear it...
