I need help updating my software update. I tried rooting my phone and it was on the latest update. When i rooted my phone and tried doing a custom rom it didn't work and i wiped everything to factory reset and i also downgraded from 7.1.1 to 6.0.1. I made sure that i wasn't rooted or anything like that and i gave up on trying to install a custom rom and now i want to update back to the latest. When i try and download it it says that the system package doesn't match and it says System 8 error. I also tried downloading it thru my sd card with the android recovery and that didn't work as well. Should i factory reset my phone? Will that work with updating to 7.1.1. I just want to go back to stock android on my Axon 7. Anyone that sees this please help me i would really appreciate it
Thank you

After I updated from Android 5 to the new Marshmallow 6.0.1 update by wiping my device, it turns out that root still exists on my device, even after uninstalling by SuperSU when it was in Android 5 before the wipe. I've also tried the Smart Switch method but Rootchecker and any root applications are coming up with errors and wont let me do anything. I don't want to try installing the 6.0.1 version of root incase it bricks my phone.
Anyone know a fix for this? Would be very much appreciated!

Unistalling supersu and/or wiping the device alone wont do it.You must flash stock firmware which you can find at sammobile.com register and download one for your variant.after that flash it with odin(there are many guides on how to use it) and that should do it.
Hi all,
I am using XT1643 indian version. I have successfully rooted it using TWRP recovery. However, I haven't changed the rom. Today, it is showing OTA update of security fixes. Should I update it or is there any particular method for updating or should I ignore the update.
Thanks.

flash stock recovery and then update
FlashFire
or Just use Flashfire A handy Application for updating rooted phone. but remember one thing always keep backup and stock rom file to your pc if something goes wrong you can easily re flash your stock rom.
Both options doesn't work.
With FlashFire, it is impossible to find the update file, and with stock recovery, its gives an error when updating
If FlashFire doesn't work, you should first unroot your device, uninstall xposed if you already installed it, also remember to use stock kernal after that.. flash stock recovery than update via ota. Let us update what happen
Edit :- I tried my self
1. unistalled xposed
2. un rooted
3. wiped all data, dalvik cache, and other stuf..exclude system
4. rebooted
5. flashed stock recovery
6. reboot again
7. download ota
8. device reboot again in stock recovery
9. And failed to update
10. So we cant update our phone unless new updated stock images available...
Hey Guys,
i need help updating and old One Plus 2. I bought it and rooted it thereafter.
I now want to update it, if possible without full reset, but if needed i will do it.
The Problem is, when i try to Update via OTA i get an error regarding crc hashes .....
This could be the Problem because im using the TWRP Recovery. Now i heard there could be Problems trying it with TWRP.
Maybe you can help me do the right steps.
Version Infos.
What i tried was, trying to flash the ROM via twrp using the downloaded zip. But it didnt work either...
I appreciate any help.
Thanks dQ
Which ROM you tried to flash?
Which ROM you are currently on?
You tried clean flash or dirty flash?
I tried to update via OTA, but since I rooted it with supersu (the normal way which i found at oneplus)
Its not working.
So what i did yesterday was, updating twrp to the newest version. Now im downloading the oxygen oa 3.1.0 OTA Update.
Trying to flash this is my next plan.
Ota updates tried was dirty ofcourse.
I didnt flash anything other then the downloaded zip files but these twrp didnt flash because of error. So he didnt do anything.
Hi,
I'm using HTC ONE M9+, today finally HTC released 6.0 Update for M9+,my hpne downloading update without any problem when i click to Install Now it says Rebooting and after reboot TWRP Kicks in and does nothing. Is there any way to disable TWRP to install this new update ?
Flash back the corresponding "stock" recovery.
You must also have an unmodified system to apply the OTA successfully.
i've flashed "recovery_verified.img__TW_1.90.709.3" now TWRp disabled but during update (at %23) it says OTA failed, my OTA is TW, according to error message i need europe's OTA which i couldn't find on internet
i actually have the same issue i have tried copying the ota and tried flashing through adb but it shows that error executing updater binary zip file and errror flashing the device
im running L 5.0.1 and want to update to m 6.0.1 through ota
i have unlocked bootloader but s-on .how to flash the otp? thanks in advance
MIracles happen! Is there anyone that have already made the update and can tell if the sense it's still there or if HTC have removed everything like in the HTC 10?
i think i can update my phone to 6.0 if i can find Europe OTA, i've searched everywhere but i couldn't find it
even i have downloaded the update but cant install as i have system partition modified...i ve searched for a ruu or stock rom but couldnt find anywhere...however i do have the Indian OTA update.
did anyone managed to install 6.0 update yet ?
Newbie here. Apologies if this has been asked before, but I'm currently sitting on the 7.1.1 beta, rooted, with TWRP installed, and I'm wondering what the best way to downgrade back to 7.0 is. I understand that I won't keep my root, and will most likely have to wipe all my data, but that's not a problem for me, as everything is backed up and I can easily root again. Is the best way to just opt out of the beta, or will I need to manually flash back to 7.0?
I would flash back to stock seeing as how you are rooted/TWRP. You will also need to opt out of the beta program or you will continue to get notifications to update to 7.1.1
