Hey guys,
I am planning to buy a OnePlus 5 from WondaMobile and they sell the A5000 model. Is that a chinese version ?
They also say in the website that they will install the OxygenOS ROM, will it cause any problems and finally is it compatible with all the customs ROMS and TWRP ?
Thanks in advance
EDIT : Got the answer by searching, sorry for the thread
I've got a OnePlus5 N.America and it's a A5000
Apparently there is only one model.
Bands are determined with software - the region rom you flash on setup (it's automatic) determines what software and bands are active.

Hey,
I'm thinking about buying the chinese version of the OPT because it's invite-free. My question, apart from fewer LTE bands and no dual-sim support outside of china, is it exactly the same hardware? Meaning, will it for example support the same ROMs that will run on the EU or NA version? Because, since I heard some people having trouble updating their chinese version OPT, I would not want to stick with Oxygen, but install a Custom ROM instead.
Its completely the same (apart LTE / Dual Sim).
A friend bought the chinese version and I flashed successfully oxygen OS. Also the custom kernels and CM 12.1 is no problem.
I'm using one now no problem just that it didn't come with a UK charger but no biggy
I'm also using the Chinese version here in Pakistan without any issue used the LTE without any hassle.

Its fine but i had to switch to ee and manually change to band 42
Hello friends, I tell you that I just bought two weeks ago this beautiful ZTE AXON 7 and they sent me the A2017 version that is not compatible with the 4G LTE networks of my country (Peru) ... I have seen that the A2017G version if it is And why I wanted to know if I installed the A2017G firmware then my phone could already work with the 4G LTE networks of my country ??? Or am I totally wrong? I look forward to your help, thank you!
You are totally wrong. Your modem doesn't pick up the bands. You can change the firmware but not the bands you pick up. That is hardware not software

A simple Google search brings the solution. A6013 for international, A6010 for Asian ones

Do they both have the same antennas internally though?
So the Asia/India 6t could flash the international model and it work no matter what country with all the same antennas?
Hi. I'm in the UK and considering purchasing this great phone. I note from the forum posts here, the BL unlock is simple as is flashing the variety of great ROMs on offer. But how easy is it to rebrand ? (I think in the States you guys call it "conversion") ?
The model I will get is the A6010 which is the China brand, whereas A6013 is the Global, the only two differences being them being a few radio bands - that are not used in the UK anyway - and the China brand using Hydrogen instead of the Global Oxygen. And this is it .
So if i unlock BL, flash TWRP and then a custom ROM (probably Lineage OS) then I have a Global brand in all but ID (it remains a A6010)? Is this correct? It seems to simple to be true?
I think A6010 is the global version. A6013 I think is the T-Mobile version.

That has been talked do death on the forums. A6010 is China/India and some Asia, A6013 is Global; and that is from OnePlus themselves. It's completely irrelevant to me because the minor differences in the two are not used in the UK anyway, but I'd like to rebrand to get rid of Chinese apps and language features so that when I factory reset I get a clean unbloated Global.
I have an A6010 that came with the global ROM. Here is a link that might help you.

Hi,
Has anybody bought a chinese version with flashed OS? If so is there any issues with using it in the UK/ Europe? Is there a chance there could be spyware preinstalled on it or should it be safe? Will there be issues with OTS updates down the line? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have the IN2020 version with global/international firmware. I'm not in Europe though. If it comes with Oxygen installed already then you don't have to convert from Hydrogen OS to Oxygen OS. The phone may or may not support all network bands in your area. So 5g may or may not work. I don't think this can be changed either. Updates will still arrive according to what version of the OS you are running, but there's always the Oxygen Updater App. One thing you should be aware of is where you are getting the phone from. If you are getting the IN2020 version, being the China version , and you have an issue with the phone OnePlus will not warranty it as it was intended for China not anywhere else. If you are buying from a reputable seller they may help you out if something goes wrong, but not all sellers do. And as for spyware I am pretty sure you are going to be safe.
