Hello everyone , i have a signal issue with my phone it's s4 i9505 , after i buy it it was normal reboot on 3g or 4g or 2g modes it's normal , but after 1 year and also i have flashed a lot of roms to this phone , now all roms stocks or customs have issue, if i reboot my phone on 3g only mode or 4g only mode there is no signal even if i search manualy , i have to switch to 2g only then the signal back and switching back to 3g or 4g
I have tried to flash latest modems and flash the stocks roms 4.4 5.0 from sammobile but no luck always i have to switch 2g then back to 3g , i 'm about to sell this phone so if the clients find this issue they won't buy it so please help me xda

Have you updated modem and bootloader after hard restart i.e. using power+home+vol down or you used the menu to reboot into Download mode? If you have used the menu, the parts of memory, where modem and bootloader are stored have been locked and actually it didn't update. Use the hard restart buttons combination prior to flashing modem and bootloader. Please replay if that worked, so that people know if that was the case.

I tried to flash latest modem using your method switch off the phone then enter to download mode using vol down + home + power , odin flash succed but stil the same problem i have tried also flash using twrp , the flash goes well , but still the same problem ,

hi i just bought an i9000 that wont connect to 3g data. it connects to 2g intermintently ,a and will flash to 3g for about 2 seconds.im in the UAE (united arab emerites) and support has been hard to find. my provider said that its an OS issue since it failed to register with a code they gave, that i have since lost. i contacted samsung, and they said they did not support the UAE version of the phone, and gave me a number that redirected me to the exact same dept. i tried to install some roms, but i cant get into recover. it brings me to a yellow triangle that says "Downloading... Do not turn off Target!!!" from here, i can boot up but cant get into recovery. i also tried the 1 click root, but that also doesnt seem to get me to recovery (might be user error here).
ive tried my sim card on other devices, and they connect to 3g 99% of the time. im also in a good location. 4-5 bars
i was able to root and load into recover before, but since i used one click to unroot, i cant get it back
so, i was hoping there was a way i could reload the OS using a sync cable. i am current on i9000jxjf3 kernel 2.6.29 rootSE-s606 #2

You're pressing the wrong volume button. Volume down gets you in the download mode, which is what you've been doing.
You need volume UP, home and power, for recovery.
so i follow the steps and flash using qpst and got the aws unlocked on my phone. ive used the phone all day with no problems and great internet speed, now that night my phone died and when i restarted my phone i noticed it would get stuck on the s4 welcome screen and pause. ive tried pulling the battery and getting into recovery but it just reads recovery booting so i got the phone into download mode, downloaded the stock firmware and flashed using odin. it says successful but when i restart phone wala im back to the same problem. now the phone was never rooted and ive tried flashing stock kernels, stock firmware nothing. ive been up two days reading post after post and no matter what i read and tried i cannot prevail. i could use odin off the compo if that helps so maybe all i need are all stock files? the firmwares ive tried havent changed so if anybody could help would be greatly appreciated

You could try taking out your SIM and SD card and start your phone that way to see if it boots.
Leave your battery out for 30s and try again without your SIM and SD in there.
You could also download Samsung Kies and try to connect your phone to see if there is a chance the software will see your phone is connected. And from the Tools option try the emergency options.
sorry to be more specific the phone will turn on and stay at the white galaxy s4 screen, i could boot up in odin mode and flashed the original firmware but that doesnt do it. i could vol+ and power button but cant access recovery the blue letters stay lit top left. i could access dl mode with vol- though. ive read thru numerous threads but they all seem to be rooted i am not, all i did wasflash the t-mobile aws bands with qpst.
No one tried to flash only recovery for Odin.

after following the guide to enable the aws bands my phone was working till the battery died now after that the phone stays stuck at the first startup screen and there is no recovery with VOL+ and power button. basically trying to ask what could be done, i tried stock firmware with odin and have tried with kies with the end result being stuck on first galaxy screen with no option to factory reset
I've been having signal issues since upgrading to 4.3. Whenever I put my phone to sleep, I always lose signal and I have to wait about 30 sec - 1min for the bars to go up again. I'm thinking about flashing the latest modem from the i9505 variant on my M919V S4 but I don't know if it's safe to do so. Is there a possibility of my phone being hard bricked if I flash a incompatible modem? Is it possible to back up my current modem? Please let me know asap!
Hi ! Si for Desmond to you i suggest to fond a MJ5 MoDem who will be fully compatible woth Your version if not indeed you taie bug risks for not say you are coing to have a soft brick at least see worse.
I can tel for me the MJ5 us perfect but normal i have the 9505 PS i am french so our version is this One.
I suggest you to fond the MJ5 modem but adapted for Your variant of the s4.
One done just flash it in Your recovery and reboot..
You will have a message for sûre i think sait a moment then reboot Your phone yourself by pressing the Power Hutton about 10 sec.
Reboot and just sait a moment ! It will be fine.
Ah in waiting a little tip.When your signal goes down (screen off ans back on).
Pût Your phone in airplane mode then right nos in normal mode (switch off).Normally you will have instantanly Your signal !
You sont have to sait until 1 minute far of that!
I know Your issue i. Have had the same ans i confirme it s due to Your modem too old for Your new Android 4.3^^

Just a few days back , it started to shut down by itself for no reason and when i try to on it again it will get stuck in the "Samsung Galaxy S4" boot up screen and goes blank again . I have tried to restart it many times in safe mode and tried to wiping the cache but it goes blank as soon as i try to press something . Another solution i saw was to re-flash the firmware using KIES , but i can't even get it to work (no LED light when plugged in to charger or the computer ) . I did call Samsung service hotline and they think that there is a problem with the motherboard so they suggest i send it to get checked . So , any suggestion on how to fix this ? Any help would be greatly appreciated . Thanks !

Hi mate,
First thing i would do is a backup of personal data and apps
Check if any of the pushbuttons is stuck , specially the power button
Can you go to recovery , can you go to download mode?
Try first a factory reset and see if it help,if not i would reflash firmware with Odin...BUT if it is in warranty still take it to them and have it fix

I do not think that any buttons are stuck seems fine on the outside, but after going through some youtube videos i think there might be something stuck internally ? so maybe i will take it out and try to see if it works .
I can get to the page where it shows recovery and download mode sometimes but if i press a button to select an option it will go blank straight away .
Sadly it is not under warranty anymore , maybe i will open it up and give it a try first .

unfortunately no you need the phone to be on.
Even if the buttons look fine they may be stock , if you know how open the phone and try to wiggle them

No Signal with all modems installed

the problem is that I haven't signal, or is very poor, when I stay in outdoors, the signal is 80% but if I go inside my home the signal is 0, I compare with others S4 and isn't a operator problem.
I install all modem for S4 i9505 with Odin from (i9505 modems) and doesn't works. and installed KitKat 4.4.4 and no mather what I try the signal phone is lost...
I tried to install modems for i9505G but Odin don't reconigze the modem...

I really need your help here guys my Phone was bought in Vietnam and I got a really big peoblem in this phone.
first is, I can't switch from GSM MODE TO WCDMA because it is not touchable.and I figure out that the IMEI of the phone that can be viewed in the settings is different from the IMEI at the back of the battery.
srcond is, When I'm gonna flash or boot through Download Mode it redirect me to Factory Test mode..abd the Language is Vietnamese..
when I hold volume up plus power plus home button it goes to a some kind of choices either go to recovery,reboot normal,or hot boot..but when i pressed any keys it wont responce..
so pkease guys I really need your help I want to fix my phone I hope you can help me to understand your methods in installing recovery or flashing stock rom via Odin
