If there are still people who is facing slow charging issue on some roms. Here is a fix. Just flash it via twrp. it can be used on every rom.

I'm running everything stock lineageos. Still I face slow charging. I think it's something to do with our device tree of lineageos.
BTW, can I flash for lineageos too?

This issue came up with new thermal libs and this zip replace them with older ones which solves slow charging, random max freq on cpu cores and disabled core issues.

I have slow charging issues ,before in omni ROM .. After flashing this patch it seems better than before... When iam using while charging it charges slow.. If I leave without using mobile it charges fast...
Thanks OP:good:
still testing
i used this thing too. after installing viper OS, i could see the charge speed. and i was still getting no more than 900 mA.
SOLUTION- what I found is that, after changing my usb cable with another stock charger cable of my friend, i started getting 1900 mA steadily. so, the problem was the cable..
hope it helps to someone
:crying: :crying: :crying: I have installed nitrogen os and facing issue of slow charging. Installed this thermal zip, still facing same issue. current is around 300-800 mAmp. However I use to charge phone after switching off then it charges fine and in around one hour it charges from 0 to 90%. Can you suggest what else I can try.

Hello there,
Due to some Thermal and Kernel limitations charging on some of the roms are slower than it is supposed to be. Did a workaround and edited the Thermal engine to get the almost MAXIMUM current the rom/kernel can get.
DaysPowerOneHour,
At the average of 1.7A/H it will take 109 min or 1H49M to charge your device fully(the current measurement was taken while screen was on, if the screen goes off the current can reach up to 1.9A in some ROMs). Means in 1 Hour it will charge 0-60+%, for most of the users that enough for a Day of use.
All you have to do is download the correct zip attached and flash it through recovery, no wipes needed.
Note: do give it max of 2 reboots and replug the charger to see changes.
**flashing on some AOSP ROMs may result in bootloop, in such case flash the iDarko version **
**flash at your own risk**
**don't complain me that your bacon got fried**LaL
**Do Use The THANKS button**
ROMs currently tested on:
H2os, the one without any tags.
N by updating.
Darkobas by intense07 (must work on official too)
##SEEMS ITS NOT WORKING ON MOST ROMS,TESTED BY MANY USERS AND MYSELF, BUT IT DOES WORK ON DU AND H²OS##
before voting please make sure you did everything that this thread says.

I have only tested this on official H2 OS 2.0,

Use kernal auditor, in power and battery section set the charging level to max then repluug your charger. If still getting low, it maybe fault of your cable?

When the screen is on, it charges at a rate of 1.1-1.2A (like it should to avoid heating)
And when the display is off, it cranks it up to 1.8-2A (again, as supposed)

Wait I am going to create a guide to get awesome battery life with Lineage 13 you can expect 6 Hrs of SOT with really heavy usage(1:40 mins of COC,3 Hrs of tv show watching and 1 hr calling)
Also VOLTE problem can be solved with lakku's work around also this ROM has very stable camera and flash.

I thought this is a forum to ask questions like this and the purpose of this forum - especially a q&a thread - is to get answers, not more browsing, because everyone is searching here first for whatever mods, roms, kernels to find the best, the working one, or any new one...? And all of this is based on people who have one minute to post a useful answer here. Maybe I think the wrong way...
I link all I have here.
I currently used Agni on Kate, this seem to have the best charging speed and the battery backup is not much worse than any stock kernel. I tried shadow, this is just not for me and the third one might be useful, I have no reference from that but worth to give it a try if others don't work for you.
I found this radon version, no idea if it is working on pie or not, didn't try yet either.

Hello to all
This is my first thread. can anyone tell me which is the best custom rom for note 4 snapdragon (910g) which have good battery life 4 to 5 hour continuous e.g. social media apps with only wifi on.
I currently have installed latest havoc OS for my note 4 but the battery just dies at 25 and sometime at 30% i bought a new battery same thing happens. Is there any fix for that i have tried to recalibrate it but nothing helped

Kernel from the ROM itself.
Around 4-5h (may be more) continues usage (surfing, playing).
I used it for 2d continously for testing in January afaik.
As it is only a backup device it's in the drawer again.
@maliksb just because of curiosity I flashed LOS18.1 yesterday.
Still testing but seems to be working well.

@maliksb can't guarantee that there're no bugs but didn't notice any.
Used it only for a day or two and battery seemed to be normal.
Then I got hold of crdroid7.3 (via Telegram group) and switched to that because of more settings options.
Stayed on that but my 910F is only a backup device anyhow so it's in the drawer again.
