Hi All!
I have a Moto Z2 and I would like to install back the Command center/Circle Widget/how you wanna call it...
I've been looking on the web and here on XDA, but the APK you can find somehow is not working on Z2, or at least not been shown in widget list
For my understanding: is Command center/Circle Widget still available on Z Force (Verizon only I guess) after 7.x update? Is it still working?
In case: would somebody extract it and post it?
Really appreciated!
is there anybody who can at least confirm?
thanks!

It is working on 7.1.1 not sure if there is anything besides apk needed to work.
Thanks for your reply! Could you please try to extract the related apk?

Try this one yet? Used on my Moto x pure https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/themes-apps/moto-z-command-center-t3438469
Yep, already tried, but it doesn't work
Or, at least, it doesn't show up in widget list
Posted as well on Lenovo forum, but no helpful answer so far ("sideloaded app, not support.."), that's why I'm asking here an apk extract from Z force
Thanks!
I dont have Nougat but see if it works

Thanks, I'll give it a try!
I've been discussing this as well on Motorola forums, seems the problems is related to standard launcher, which is preventing the widget to be shown in the widget list..
Hey, guys! I was attempting to get Command Center working on my old Droid Bionic running Lineage 14.1, and, while the .apk would install, I could never see the widget. I finally discovered that, for whatever reason, the widgets had been installed to my external SD card instead of internal storage. So, going to Settings>Apps>Command Center>Storage, and you might see at the top "Storage used", with a "Change" button. Just have it moved to internal storage, and you'll be going on your merry way!
Command Center
Please put a app in play store to download command center for Moto z play and z force phones. Thanks
Command Center
I have the Moto z play phone could not get the app for command center to download right until I went to the play store and downloaded Nova launcher. Then I downloaded command center from this site and now it works great!! Thanks xda-developers. I have the mods for my phone and this app is great to see battery life for phone and mods.
This works on any Motorola (or maybe other makes), you just need to adjust the display size in android settings. Sucks, because I like the huge font and display size, but making them smaller allows this widget to be added. If the settings aren't right, the widget won't even show up as an option

Heyy I have had the xperia arc since o2 release on the 19th April.
1 question where is the file manager and personal profiles etc.
Also what app is used to take screenshots as looking at android market all the apps there say the phone has to be rooted.
Thanks in advance,
Jinx13
There are many file manager & personal profile apps in Market
I use Astro file manager to manage my files
Root is available for ARC, so you can root your device... Without rooting you can use MyPhoneExplorer to take shots (need to be installed on device + on PC)
Thanks for the tips downloaded that file manager new to android

android Is awesome.. but it might take you a bit to get used to it.. depending what platform you've come from...

you can use dropbox to make it like ftp and upload files from your computer that you can download anytime with your phone
try it

1 other thing what are you using to root the arc? I seen a thread HERE Is that what your all using?
About root, i think you should wait a little more for custom stable roms.
Im looking into it since im new to android too
Depends what you want to root for, and if your phone is unbranded and sim unlocked?
If it is.. then you can unlock the bootloader and flash a rooted kernel. here..
then root here..
I rooted mine to delete some stuff and install screen shot apps, and reboot widget!.. awaiting kernel to allow overclocking..
voice dialer
Where can I find it? According to the help files it should be in the application list but it's not there... in gsmarena's test it says there's 'a dedicated homescreen widget' but I couldnt find anything as such in the widget list.
I need it and I don't like the idea of browsing through the market for finding applications for each missing feature (yes, I'm a beginner in Android )
Dev
Just copied this from the sys.. you can try installing it.. make sure you check "unknown sources" in the settings/ application menu.

No luck, it says its installed, but when I try to launch it 'Activity not found - android.com.voicedialer'. Same if I try to use the apk in /system/app. Is it there in your applications list?
actually..no, it's not.. and doesn't seen to be accessible grin within the dialer either.. have you tried plugging the headset in and clicking the button on there. long press I think? haven't got mine with me so can't test it right now.

Using my BT headset I could use the voice dialer (rather voice command, because its like 'call xxnamexx', 'open calendar') Now I'd like to assign custom voice tags to contacts because it will never recognize hungarian names
Appears that the update caused the Favorite Contact Widget to disappear although the app is still listed in Application Manager. How do we get it back??
It seems like that many people have the same issue. You can download the apk file and install it - then you will have them back listed in the Widgets list.
Tested and worked for me on my I9505

Is this from the I9505?
Update:
This is to say I have tried this out, running Apex launcher, and it does not look good at all on the homescreen.
Thanks for pointing this out anyway.

How to get the WIDGET back on SAMSUNG NOTE 8 and your phone is on STANDARD MODE? PLEASE HELP
I like the device like. It's cheap, good battery and it's fast enough for what I need. But there are 3 things which I thought where stock android. The nexus 7 has these features.
control mp3 player by headset buttons
Switches don't include rotate or GPS
Swype like keyboard
Does anybody how to fix these? If I'm correct CM also has these. A CM based rom on my HTC one S also had these functions.
Too bad CM isn't available (yet?) on the moto G

I solved the second one by installing Power Toggles, it lets you create and customize switches in the notification bar, and they look nice =)

1. Xposed Framework and Gravity Box (JB / KK). Root required.

You probably mean it's "not available in your location" (yes, Google Keyboard isn't available in all countries), as it is written when you click the button for "not compatible". In that case you just have to find the .apk (yes, you can find stuff on the Internet that is not officially available) and install it manually. Works flawlessly.

to save him searching for a solution. If you get a parsing error trying to install the apk. Check you have 'allow unknown sources' checked in security. Then upload the apk to google drive, then install it from google drive and it will install without issue. There are other solutions if you don't have google drive, but this is the most simple.
Hee everybody,
thanx for the suggestions. I did install the keyboard and power toggles.
For some reason the keyboard isn't available in the Netherlands.
Still hoping for CyanogenMod
We have cm...the Moto x...it's not very popular. Lol
You lose the Motorola features, more of a big deal for the x I guess....And people seem to love stock with xposed for customization and added features.
Cm doesn't really offer anything that you can't get with xposed.
Plus you get those inevitable custom Rom glitches....where stock is flawless.
Custom roms are definitely more important for phones with their own ui...like HTC, Samsung....And for phones that aren't getting updates anymore.
Just saying.

Greetings XDA Members,
I've searched for quite some time, with limited success on keeping a stock rom along with Google Dialer. The best of both worlds if you will, that would allow great features without the loss of another. It was always a debate between using a AOSP rom at the loss of the camera, or sticking to stock and working with xposed to change settings to an agreeable state. With endless google searches, forums read, and opinions given by others; they all seemed to end with "Not Possible". Well, with some trial and error I have found a workable solution that will allow the Google Dialer to replace the stock dialer, and also allow for "In-callui" to replace the stock one.
It also needs to be mentioned, that I cannot guarantee this will work with your variant, custom rom, or other items not factored into the equation. Though this has worked for me without fail on the ATT Model D850 on Cloudy 2.5 but there are a few details to note. The "In-callUI" will show for both Incoming & Outgoing calls, but you will first see your stock one come up for a brief second or so and switch over. For me, this isn't an issue as I don't immediately answer or hang up when a call completes. Some of the items recommended in the prerequisite are optional and provide other ways to find/adjust permissions, or freeze/delete applications (Stock dialer). I'm not personally an avid developer, but if you have any questions I've been able to gain a great deal of knowledge over the years with hands on experience with the Android operating system. Feel free to ask any questions that may come up, and I'll be happy to assist if possible.
Pre-requisites;
LG G3 - Rooted
Custom Recovery with knowledge on Flashing ZIP files.
Root Explorer / File Manager
Nova Launcher / App to launch an activity.
Titanium Backup (recommended to backup Dialer and other applications in case of damage)
Included in the attachments is the file GoogleStockDialerAndMms. This file is a flashable zip that will automatically adjust the permissions necessary to make calls. It's highly recommended that you make a backup of your current rom with TWRP/CWM in case any issues arise. As this adds two files to your system directory, there is always a chance that an error can occur.
If you choose the route of Nova, you can create a shortcut to an activity. Below I've included a screenshot of which activity needs to be chosen in order to use Google Dialer.
Within Nova Launcher, long-press on the home screen.
Choose "Shortcuts"
Select "Activities"
Find "Google Dialer" in the list, then tap to open it up, and select "Phone" (use the first one in the list)
Can I disable my default dialer?
The short answer is no. As a general rule, you will need to keep your present dialer enabled in order to receive calls. The long answer is that on some phones you might be able to disable your stock dialer, but on others you definitely cannot. Feel free to try it on your own device and let us know what your results are. If you choose to do attempt this, I highly recommend against uninstalling and instead move to FREEZING the phone applications with Titanium Backup or similar root enabled application.

i flashed the zip and everything seems to be working fine. i am also able to search close by businesses, i typed pizza and it showed me the closest pizza places.
the only FC i am getting is in settings when i tap call settings-voicemail, call waiting. i don't use that so its ok for me. thanks again.
also i did not have to create a shortcut, the app icon was there after restart.

@SyCoREAPER thank you for the update!
Doesn't work here....either when triggered from a Nova Settings widget or from the icon in the launcher. Instant force close. I can try to grab a log if you think it'll help?
D852, running Dene_Bluesman's rom (basically stock LG 5.0.1)
Edit - wonder if its because the rom version i'm using is odexed? Going to try the deodexed version and report back....
Edit 2 - nope still crashes instantly. Super frustrating! Please let me know if a log will help! @Eruvion
I want to try this on my lg G2, is there any reason you think it might not work? Anything that would make this zip specific to the G3?
+1 on this. would like to see if we can get this to work on Cloudy for G2.

This thread seem's a bit dead. Anyway i have flashed this file and it works. I am on N&N 1.3 rom. It's a stock mm based rom.
Hey guys,
Just decided to share 3 applications that I use and I think missing from Priv.
They work great on Priv.

2. HTC File manager
3. HTC Gallery.
Just install like a regular apk.
