Problem with my P9 Lite - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi guys, after trying to make a roolback from Android 7 to 6 (on my P9 lite L31 Brand Vodafone) I discovered I have the version "Test keys", then I tried to put the firmware just right that... the phone went into bootloop, it does not turn off either... I can only go in FastBoot mode... help me!! P.S. the PC does not detect the phone because the active USB debugging, and the Bootlooader is locked

[Q] XT907 verizon doesn't want to flash stock Rom using RDS lite

So I'm trying to fix a customers Razr M and I'm thinking the os got screwed up somewhere. I tried factory resetting his phone thru the boot loader menu and now it will only boot to that mode. So I tried getting the stock OS rom and got the device into the fastboot menu. I downloaded all the latest drivers and tried the flash. Every time I get the error, failed flashing process 3/21 flash partition "gpt.bin" -> phone returned Fail. Is there a different rom that I should be trying? or is this phone beyond repair? Any suggestions would help out soooo much. Thanks guys!
Are you using the stock 4.4.2 firmware from here ?

Can you provide a bit more detail please... I see you have posted on three places regarding this issue yet never said what your doing to try and resolve this issue... Are you using rsd lite like the op is? What are you flashing? Are you getting the same error as op? I see you got in this situation while trying to flash CM11 in CWM is that correct?

Is your device placed in fastboot, correct drivers installed to your PC, using a OEM Motorola USB cable, and a 2.0 USB port?

Yeah that's the file I found. Now I don't know what update the customer was on when the device quit, but I figured if I tried the newest one it would work. Also in my RDS lite screen under device properties all of the status's say N/A is that right? and under device list it is coming up as fastboot SMQ S. Does any of that seem odd? I'm going to try and download device drivers again.

OK so I tried updating the drivers, that didn't work. It's still giving me the same error. The getvar error I was getting at first so I tried a different os rom and that's when I got the GPT.bin error and now the phone will only boot to the fastboot menu and the reason its giving me is "sticky bit factory_fastboot" so IDK what to do now

You cant downgrade with a locked bootloader. You must use 183.46.10.
1. Open up the 183.46.10 sbf zip
2. Then open the VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml with Notepad++ and erase:
Code:
<step operation="getvar" var="max-download-size" />
3. Save and close
4. Retry flashing with RSD lite

Huawei P8 Lite Bricked, USB debugging off (ALE-L23 - EMUI 3.1, V432B170

Hello everybody!
I've had my p8 lite for a day now (running on adroid 5.0.1) , and found out this morning that there is a beta update for the marshmallow version. Downloaded the intermediary B188 update package, required to bridge the update to android 6.0.
Ran the local update, it was succesful, and it prompted me to restart. After that, it's been stuck at the Huawei logo, and nothing seems to work.
I've tried clearing the cache, factory reset, rebooting. Same result.
I did download the stock firmaware, and tried connecting the phone via usb so i can manually install it, but the pc does not detect the phone, no matter what i do. Even HiSuite opens up when the phone is plugged in, only to say that no device has been detected.
I tried to access the recovery screen, but the only option i get is "press volume key up to exit this screen", and a big green message stating the phone is LOCKED.
I used the stock firmware on a 4 gb sdcard (UPDATE.APP, in a dload folder, in the root directory of the card)
It gives me the same update failed message. I am not sure whether this is because there was another folder in the phone directory which was named dload, and maybe the system takes its update from there, or the issue is that i can't turn off the phone before adding the sdcard (can only reboot)
I really don't know how i can solve the problem. I've browsed the internet for hours, but haven't seen anyone with this issue.
Please, i kindly request your aid in resolving the issue. Thank you in advance!
Edit: Noticed that i can select options in the wipe data screen using touch controls, unlike other devices where only volume buttons were able to do that.
which version did you have on your phone before you update to b188?
---------- Post added at 05:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:50 PM ----------
the only method that you can try is to unzip the firmware b524,you will find some files including the update.app, now extract the update.app and put in to your sd card in dload folder, now press and hold power button and volume up and down at the same time,it will make a force upgrade, good luck

Hey and thanks for your reply!
The version i originally had was ALE-L21 - EMUI 3.1, V432B170. I did try several times to install that one from an sdcard, inside a dload folder, under the name update.app.
However, i always get the update failed message, right after a very short (1/10 of a second) message that says version check failed....
Your recommendation of installing b524...isn't that newer than b170? And could it work in this case?
Thanks again!
you can give a try, unfortunately with force upgrade you can just upgrade not downgrade, the only way to make downgrade is to use the adb commands, but for that you need to have your bootloader unlock
---------- Post added at 05:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:39 PM ----------
you can give a try, that error version check failed,it my indicate that you have the b188,so the only way to work your phone is to put a higher version(b524)and make a force upgrade
You might want to return it to the retailer as defective... Huawei includes strict checks that the update must meet to be installed.. looks like the update you applied was the correct one but some other fault occurred.

You can eventually try to disconnect battery, reconnect it and then try to boot into fastboot.
But DFC should help.

I am in the same situation, I flashed manually different partition and got it wrong.
It booted with black screen all the way but QHSusb was working, EDL, emergency.
I soft-repaired, and then thougt it was unbrickable, but I was wrong.
I flash for fun modem.bin and it booted up. But later I flash a big-rom-update-zip in TWRP and then changed the boot-slut from B to A and restarted from recoverymode but DEAD, complete dead, nothing appears on the screen or devicemangar.
then it didn't boot at all.
I have a home-made cable and tried different button-combinations and cable-connected-combination during boot but nothing work.
Either I have destroyed QHSUSB-modem, ( I don't know if it is software related on UFS-storage or if the Qualcom-emergency-MODEM have a different chip that boots up.
Maybe I have incompatible critical-partitions from different rom?!
The last resort is to brake/carefully open the screen-glas on short the electricity from some chips and force the QHS-usb-mode, emergency mode. I have the Firehose.elf file that will help, and the partitions and patch0 file. But need to force boot inte Qualcomm-EDL , But how?
My chip-family-SOC is MSM9889 ta-1012, NB1-softwares-firmwares
I need the Firehose.elf file that will help, and the partitions and patch0 file, can you seed it to me?
short ur motherboard to enter EDL mode... i can provide EDL point if u want... after short the board HS... 9008 drive will show..update the drive to Qloader 9008.. than u can flash ur device with OST tool emergency mode.. choose firmware before july 2018.

Mi9T bricked / no OS / no adb / no fastboot /twrp working

Hi, I tried updating to the newest miui.eu release, sadly I couldn't charge my phone after I successfully updated. So I wiped the system to flash the rom I used beforehand. Sadly, now my whole partition couldn't be decrypted and I couldn't access it via USB. So after a while I decided to format data. Now I had a phone with twrp, no data and no access via USB..
I changed the phones usb charging port with no success.
EDL doesnt seem to work either, maybe i am doing it wrong.
I really like this phone, I just repaired the display so I hope it isn't bricked.
Can you help me?
Thanks in advance, if you need further information, just ask!
I'm really appreciate your hardwork ?
Only one solution you have left, open back panel of your phone and find two golden point of EDL mode and then hold two points with joint pin and remember your phone battery should be removed and then connect to pc with hold two golden points now your phone is in EDL MODE then flash with stock rom through mi flash tool and remember inside your pc Modem driver is installed which is required in EDL MODE then that's easier to roll back at initial state of phone ? now your phone work smoothly.

Edl mode via shorting out the tester point is the only way for you , I beleive your presist or crust partition might have been totally messed up that's why you phone is like this or maybe you didn't enable usb debugging by default luckily your bootloader isn't locked it it was locked then your might have become something like a paperblock of 200grams.

This method didn't work, I will try the esl option next. I tried it before tho with no success, maybe because I didn't install the qualcomm driver. What could be the problem if my phone still doesn't get recognized?
It's so weird that a software issue causes my phone to not be able to connect to my computer on the recover layer

With the official rom encrypted when you boot in twrp it ask your password for decrypt... But if you bot in twrp and it don't ask anything then you don't have anything to decrypt...
Try to check the others threads...
I'm pretty sure that you can fix it without open it...

How Windows see you device?... Try to go in device manager and check... if your phone appears in device manager as "QHSUSB_BULK" or unknow device, you have to install the proper driver....
And try this tool https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tool-tool-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3358711
So I tried a lot of things, reboot edl didn't work, Testpoint short-circuit didn't work either.
It's hard to say, but I don't know what happened and I have to say goodbye to my beloved phone. It drives me crazy that I didn't found what happened. I don't even know, if I will flash my next phone.
Thanks for your support, if you want to try your luck, or need a display (2weeks old) or any other part, just pm me.
