I have a note 4 n910c and i could easily search the name of the person I'm going to call from dial pad and choose him/her and choose among the numbers ive already saved under his/her contact name and make call.
I can't do the last step( choosing which number to call) since I've updated to the latest version and it chooses ONLY the default number automatically.

Hi!
I'm thinking about using my M1000 with my company's Sim.
Problem is that to dial personal numbers I would need to add "46" before the number I am dialing (this is for cost control... the company pays for phone call of collegues and clients, I pay for my personal ones).
Now, I am afraid that due to this restriction I would not be able to tap a personal contact number and have it dialed and also that I would need to delete the whole number from the phone display in order to add the 46 at the beginning.
Is there any application that would allow me to easily add the 46 in front of personal numbers before they get dialed?
THANKS!!!
Chris
Are you saying that you can't simply add the "46" to your personal phone numbers in your Contacts list? I just added "46" in front of a number in my contacts list and dialed it. It did not work on my network, but it did dial it.
I could but...
I could add the 46 in front but...
0) do it for all of my contacts its a long work...
1) It would be difficoult to revert should I change sim
2) I would get all my contact screwed if I try for example to dial from my PC or share them with someone
3) I don't need the "46" for SMS... so if I put it for SMS they would not go...
4) Incoming calls would not be recognized becouse the caller Id could not match the caller with the 46...
So it would be best if I could just add the "46" with a botton to the end of a number I would like to dial, just before I dial it...
Thanks anyway!
Chris
Hi All,
Great site!!
I have 2 questions:
1 - When I use smart dialing from my hermes I use the direction arrows once I have found the contact and choose the work number of a contact that has an extension as +1 (999) 999-9999 x 9999 I then get a dialog saying "Invalid entry, please try again."
This same entry dials fine from speed dial or dialing from contacts, any suggestions, it's a real pain to manually dial the whole number.
2 - I have my numbers in outlook 2003 and they are formatted with the +country code format, so all numbers have a + in front of them.
When I smart dial, I can't see the last number of the phone number it only shows
+1 (xxx) xxx-xxx
Again it's really annoying as the only way I can find the number is by dialing and I usually use the smart dial to find a phone number when I am looking for someone's phone number.
BTW I have tried to edit the number and remove the + but outlook put's it back. This is actually good when travelling.
Thanks in advance,
I apologise in advance if this information is somewhere on the site, I am not lazy and I did read quite a bit before posting.
ROM version: 2.15.502.3
WM5
on my outlook, I have the phone num , ext and the phone will dial and wait for pickup before dialing the ext.
of course, i am not using the country code feature, so...
I would be happy with that behavior.
If I could change the font to be smaller in the phone application at least I could see the whole number.
Thanks for sharing.
Hello,
I often use an access code to dial internationally, and once I am connected to that access number, I have to enter the number of the person I am calling.
I have an HTC Touch HD with WM6.1pro and cannot find a way to do it. If I connect to the access number, then at the prompt go to my address book and dial a second number, it assumes I want to have two separate calls and puts the access code on Hold... which is not what I want! I do not remember all my friend's numbers, so I do have to use the address book.
With my old nokia n95, once connected I could go to the menu and say I want to dial a DTMF which is the tone you hear when dialing a normal phone. This allows me to follow on with calling the number I need while connected to the call.
Is there a way of doing this on WM6?
I have a kind of work around. I edit my international friends phone numbers as a "car phone" and the numbers look like this
02081802828 p 0027115555555
the access code, then I add p to pause then their number.
The HUGE problem is that when I dial any of my international contacts, the phone displays the same person... so no matter who I call internationally, it always shows a photo of my friend Ian, and displays his name instead of the person I am actually speaking to. I think this is a bug where WM6.1 only looks at the first 11 characters of a number, but the problem is, all my intl numbers have the same first 11 numbers.
Help MUCH appreciated, thanks,
Mark.

Click to collapse
Don't know if it will work... but you coud try (using Advanced Config) to increase the number of digits used to "match" the numbers in the contacts... for example to 18 or 19 numbers... but I cannot immagine what other "consequencies"could happen...
Let us know !

Hi Kostas
It seems that the problem is actually with spb Mobile Shell and not windows mobile.
When I dial using the windows mobile dialler, it gets the name and picture right, but when I use spb's dialler it shows the wrong person and name...
I will chase it up with them... and thanks for the good idea, unfortunately the Call ID Match does not help the problem.
Efgaristo!
Mark.
I've had my HD2 for about 2 months now and have just come across these two "issues".
1. Is there an app or a hack to have a group contact as a favourite/quicklink? I would like to have all my co-workers (group name work) on the home screen quicklink or favourite to have instant access to any one of them instead of going to contatcs>groups>work>select person.
2. When I try to make a phone call that has a similar phone number it tries to dial it all the time. So I had to add another contact with just that same number. For example I have a co-worker with a number 123-456-7890 ext 0987 in my contact but I want to call my main work number of 123-456-7890 which I don't have in my contacts. Yet it calls the co-worker. It doesn't give me the option of not calling anyone from my contacts or call history.
Hope someone can help and this all makes sense
Anyone?
try dialer one app
I recently upgraded from the SAMSUNG NOTE 3 to the NOTE 4. Awesome phone! Running: Android 4. 4. 4
But there is a problem:
All my Contacts are saved with the international dialling code format (+44 123 etc).
When I receives calls in my local area, which come without the international dialling prefix, only the number shows, no contact name though it is in my CONTACTS database.
Any SMS Text and all international calls are okay, as these come with the international dialling code and phone recognises the number and Contact.
Currently, the only workaround, which I find unacceptable, is to save the Contact name and number twice, once with the international dialling code, and another as it would be received as a local number.
This is unacceptable, as it would mean doing this for every single number i have, otherwise when i travel the overseas numbers (now local) would not show a Contact name.I have 7,500 Contacts, never been a problem when i was using the NOTE 3.
I understand from a couple of others using the same phone they are experiencing the same problem. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Please help
