Nexus 6P Bootloop issue (latest solution did not work) - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I have a nexus 6p entering bootloop yesterday. fully stock with latest OTA update. device is locked, not rooted, bootloader LOCKED.
I can get to fastboot screen (android robot laying down), with "start, reboot bootloader, recovery, barcodes, poweroff", all options result in bootloop again (except power off and barcode). Cannot go into recovery mode, cannot wipe cache/factory reset.
I tried using the latest solution to disable to big cluster but that guide requires the phone to have a unlocked bootloader which I cannot unlock. I get the FAILED [remote: OEM unlock is not allowed], because I never enabled developer option to unlock the phone and never enabled USB debugging.
Phone was manufactured 12-2015. Called google and was told because the phone was not bought from google store there is nothing they can do. Called Huawei was told the phone is out of warranty and there is nothing they can do.
Tried heating the phone/blowdryer method. tried freezer method. Nothing worked.
What can I do at this point?

Same here
Same exact problem here - "Tried heating the phone/blowdryer method. tried freezer method. Nothing worked." Any thoughts... anyone?

I have the same problem. I'm not able to find any information how to unlock the phone in this state. Any hint?

HELP - Nexus 4 Won't Boot + Other Issues

Hi All,
I tried to complete a manual update of the 4.3 OTA on my Nexus 4 this evening, however unfortunately it didn't work and my phone would not boot past the 'Google' screen. After wiping the cache, and still having the issue, I decided to do a factory data wipe/restore. However the problem still persisted.
With this, I thought the only way past this was to install the factory image. I installed the 4.3 factory image just fine (after going through the various steps, including unlocking the bootloader) and it was up and running for a while installing apps. However, with this, the device had a black/blank screen for a fair few minutes and after leaving it I thought I might has well reboot. Unfortunately, this time is did not boot again.
So; off to do the same previous steps again.... fastboot oem unlock (as I relocked the device previously), load bootloader, etc, etc. Got to the system update, and it passed an error saying that fastboot is not available on a locked device. Strange as I had unlocked it, but there is was on the menu "LOCK STATE - locked"....
I am now at the stage where I can't actually keep my phone unlocked. I can complete the command fastboot oem unlock, but once I complete fastboot reboot-bootloader, the device is stating it is locked again. - This is where I need some help, PLEASE.
Sorry for the long post, but wanted to describe the situation. If you need further info from me, just let me know. I'm hoping someone far wiser than I am can help me resolve this issue...
Any help on this? - It would be much appreciated.
I too have the same problem with my phone
but my phone is 4.2.2. rooted and wouldn't load past the 'google' boot screen
I can still go into clockwork recovery mode and I wiped cache, did factory reset and I can't even access my phone through the computer

Stuck in BootLoop and Factory Wiping doesn't actually wipe anything

Nexus 7 (2012)
4.4.4 Stock
KTU84P
HW Version - ER3
Bootloader Version - 4.23
Locked Bootloader
Not Rooted
I have a Nexus 7 sitting in front of me that was dropped off by my aunt in hopes that I could repair it for her. It doesn't look too promising, but I thought I'd consult the mighty fine people here on XDA before I give her the bad news. Here's what she says happened. Yesterday, while preforming day to day activities on it (browsing internet, Skyping, Facebook, etc), the device completely froze. After holding down the Power Button and forcing it to shutdown, she booted it back up. Everything seemed to functioned properly for about 30s - 1min when, at that time, the device turned off and rebooted on its own. After booting back up, it started to repeat this cycle. Basically getting stuck in a bootloop. I personally have never witnessed a bootloop like this before, where the device successfully boots up completely into the OS before turning off and repeating. I'm more used to dealing with ones where it might go as far as the manufacturer logo and then repeats. So anway, as I stated, I only have a 30s - 1min window where I can make changes in order to troubleshoot. The first thing I figured I should do was to go into "About Device", turn Developer Mode on and get USB Debugging enabled. I was able to do this and used "adb devices" to confirm its connection to my computer before it looped again. After its next bootloop I headed back into settings because I wanted to take note of the Android version she was running. As I was navigating there, I noticed that the Developer Options were no longer active. Basically as if I hadn't enabled them yet. This made me start thinking that changes being made on the device weren't sticking. I decided to make a few visual changes to the home screen and see if they were still there after the next bootloop. I uninstalled an app, rearranged icon placement, and changed the wallpaper. Once it shutdown and booted back up again, everything was back to the way it was before the changes had been made. The app I had uninstalled was still there, the wallpaper reverted back, and the icons were back in their original location. At this point I decided to see if I could reboot into Safe Mode. Unfortunately, this doesn't work. I am able to get the reboot to Safe Mode confirmation box and tap "Ok" but it remains in Normal mode when it boots back up. I eventually tried to boot into recovery and preform a Factory Reset. I was able to get into recovery and reset the Nexus. Or so I thought. Instead of seeing a Device Setup screen after it wiped, like I assumed I would, it booted up and still had all the data on it. There were no errors during the wipe and it was confirmed with "Data wipe complete." afterwards.
I am absolutely lost. I've never dealt with such an unusual issue before. Especially with it not even reacting to a complete data wipe. So, just to recap . . . I only have 30s - 1min available to interact with the OS before it reboots itself, any changes made during that time don't stick, Device is successful booting into Stock Recovery, and I can successfully get a Fastboot connection when booting to the Bootloader.
Luckily she has come to terms that this might not get fixed and has decided to go a head an order a newer 2013 model. I'd still like to try any solutions that you all might have. Just in case there is a slight glimmer of hope.
Oh, and one last thing I should mention. I tried to see if I could get the bootloader unlocked but it didn't work. This is the first Nexus I've ever had in my possesion, so I'm not really familiar with the tools available for it. I found WugFresh's Root Toolkit and attempted to Unlock with it. The process seemed to go as it should and I didn't receive any errors on the tablet or in the software. However, in the end, it didn't make any changes to the bootloader.
same problem
I have the same problem as you.
Did you find a solution?
Can anybody help us?
Thanks.
I have a similar problem, but I think mine is related to the bootloader.
I'm stuck on 3.34 and that's where it fails ever time I try Wug's Nexus Tool Kit.
Have you tried Nexus Tool Kit yet?

I have tried factory reset from recovery, no errors while wiping but when device restarts nothing has happened: I only have a 30s-1min of old system with all my data and apps or directly bootloop.
Also I have tried flash factory images with Nexus Tool Kit and directly from bootloader. No errors while flashing, apparently has flashed new image system. When device restarts nothing has happened: bootloop or my old system with data and apps for 30s before restart.
Myself and a few others are having the same problem... please keep us updated if you find anything out.

OEM locked and stuck in Android safe mode "Decryption unsuccessful"

I recently successfully restored my Axon 7 (A2017U) to B20 and tried to OEM lock it again. After running "fastboot oem lock", the phone rebooted, but came up with something that said "To start Android, enter your password." I didn't have a password before, so I tried something I found online called default_password to see if it would unlock (which it didn't) & then other passwords to get the phone to wipe itself and essentially perform a factory reset. However, now it is stuck in Safe Mode and says "Decryption unsuccessful: The password you entered is correct but unfortunately your data is corrupt." When I try to wipe the phone, it says it is factory resetting, but then it restarts and goes to a blank screen. (Which I suspect is because TWRP is still installed as a recovery, not stock). In addition, power+volume up no longer works since the phone is oem locked, but power+volume down takes the phone into Factory Test Mode. My computer still recognizes the phone when it shows up in Safe Mode, but I cannot see it in ADB.
Where can I go from here to factory reset the phone? Is it possible to send this to ZTE to fix since it is OEM locked at the moment?
I followed razorblader's advice and successfully got the phone into EDL mode and ran tenfar's tool. However, that made it worse and now the phone just shows ZTE for the second & the screen goes blank.
EDIT: Nevermind, I was running that program without recovery.img/boot.img in the same directory, D'OH! Luckily, I still had comms with the phone after that mistake & I re-ran the program successfully. I can now get into TWRP recovery. However, booting into system still shows the corrupt data message. I'm going to try a factory reset from TWRP and see if that fixes the issue.
OK good news, got my Axon 7 working again, stock + locked & am currently posting this from it. One reason I wanted to relock it however was to get OTAs and right now B27 is showing up. Now before I almost brick my axon again, do I need to flash stock B20 recovery before I'm able to install this update? Also, I'd like to get to B29 eventually, but I'm guessing I need to update to B27 first. (correct me if I'm wrong though)

L31 bricked by flashing rollback package

Hi All.
I hope someone can help me. I encountered this stupid problem:
I have a L31 device and successfully installed the Nougat (test?)update through Firmware Finder. But since this wasn't the definitive update, I decided to rollback to MM. I installed the C900B300 rollback package and then the B160 package. That went well, BUT the device now refused to activate the Google services. I couldn't enter a Google account. Not from Settings > Accounts and not from any other Google app like Chrome, Play Store, Gmail or others. The screen just kept returning to the Homescreen.
Upon checking About this device, I noticed the version now was C900B160, instead of the expected C432B160. I am very positive I used the C432B160 MM package to flash. This I did with the three button method. But then how come it still showed C900B160?
So I first tried to reflash the C432B160 with the three button method. Flashing worked well, but the problem wasn't solved. Still no Google activation and still the same C900B160 number.
So then I decided to reflash the rollback package...
That turned out to be a mistake... After flashing that (and it did show 100% successfull after flashing) the device is bricked. The Huawei logo shows and then nothing happens. The logo stays in the screen. I can't even turn the device off. Short pressing the ON-OFF button does nothing and long pressing just restarts the logo and nothing more.
I tried to reflash the MM update C432B160 with the three button technique, but that doesn't work anymore!! Entering erecovery with the volume up and ON-OFF also doesn't work anymore!! The only thing that works is Fastboot when connected to a pc. That screen shows phone (and bootloader) is locked, by the way. So I can't flash boot.img and recovery.img .
Has anybody encountered such problems and knows what to do now?? Thanks guys!

With fastboot method, unlock bootloader again. Flash recovery. Boot into recovery. Wipe system and boot. Flash stock boot IMG and recovery IMG. Power off. Use dload. Now you are in bootloop. When booting press vol up 3 seconds, on e-recovery press shutdown. Press and hold power and vol up. Go to stock recovery, do factory reset.

Thanks for your help.
Trouble is that I can't unlock te bootloader, because I do not know my Product ID and I can't look it up, since I don't have a dialer... The HuaweiProductIDGenerator doesn't help. I tried several codes with it, but none worked.

No, I can only get into fastboot when connected to a pc.
OK. gtdaniel was so kind to provide me with an unlock code. THANKS!
But, I don't seem te be able to use it...
I can put the phone in bootloader when connected to a pc. When I type "fastboot devices" I do get the correct serial number. But when I type "fastboot oem unlock 343...338" I get a FAILED (remote: command not allowed).
It seems this is because I never could allow OEM unlocking from the Android settings menu. But since my phone is bricked, I can not enter into that menu!
Does anybody know how to solve this??

at command line when u write adb devices u got your phone ?
Maybe is dump question but did you install adb android driver ?
I'm pretty sure that someone wrote in thread that you don't need to have this oem permission in android if you are in fastboot

Yes, that's what I read too. Since I can't change that permission anymore while I can't start Android, I can't unlock. Dammit.
Is DC Unlocker my only option then? It seems their software can do it.
I'm afraid I've got some pretty bad news. Last week the same thing happened to me after I was THAT stupid to actually try and flash the rollback package for the second time. My phone got bricked just like yours, and NOTHING worked to fix it. I tried completely everything I could find on the net and XDA, and in the very end I was forced to bring it in for warranty repairs. Even they COULD NOT fix it and the phone ended up with the entire logicboard changed with a completely new one. I was lucky that it all was done under warranty. Will never do anything as stupid as that!
Really hope you find a fix somehow, but if not, the repair service is your only solution, because otherwise the phone is as good as dead.

my phone is also reedy to send to service. I have a lot of phone with android but no rom make so many damage to my phone, like this fc** rollback. finger cross, because huawei service in my country without warranty, takes for new motherboard 175 $ . I bought phone for 233 $ with 3 gb ram..... This will be harsh and pay(in)ful lesson for me.

Uhh, I am sorry to hear that. But yes, I had the same harsh lesson. They will be forced to changed the motherboard too, cause even they won't be able to re-flash the whole system. Though, what I did to have the warranty not declined, is I brought the phone to the service and said that - "The phone received and OTA update through the updater, I didn't look much into it and just went with it, pressed on update and everything seemed well. It worked until the moment where it installed and restarted, and now the phone is stuck on Huawei logo and you can't possibly do anything with it, not even turn it off." - and that's it. They will have to repair it under warranty because there is no proof left that you had rooted it or done any other installations not authorized by Huawei.
Best of luck!

Some user got the same problem that you have and flash boot.
But truly if u don't have "your device has been unlock" only bootloop on huawei logo, is more simple to send it back to warranty and play dump.
I have now "your device is unlock" and i pray for miracle.

I am exactly in the same situation with the difference that I don't have Fasboot! How do you get to Fastboot? Mine hangs on the screen that says the phone is unlocked and the device is booting... Vol+/Vol- and Power doesn't boot into Fastboot and my minimal ADB doesn't recognize the phone in the stages that it hangs...
---------- Post added 16th April 2017 at 12:04 AM ---------- Previous post was 15th April 2017 at 11:52 PM ----------
I have the same situation. I tried everything, Three button method, letting the battery run out completely, Vol+ and Power, Vol- and Power, connected to PC, not connected to PC. Every time I disconnect the charger, and reconnect it starts from 0. I read some other people here have the same problem. Send it to warranty and explain your rollback process unlocked the bootloader somehow (I mean the phone does do a lot of sh*ty sh*t, so this shouldn't seem very odd as well!!!) and hope that you get a repair/replacement and after that sell it on ebay hoping some stupid people like us in the first place will buy it and spend your money on a phone more reliable!
I managed to access the fastboot using the 3 button method in cold boot. Hold the Power key until the screen goes off and then release and hold down the Vol- key and immideately connect the usb cable to PC right before it vibrates or exactly when it vibrates (it's a matter of timing), and bingo you are in fastboot and you can flash system.img, recovery.img, cust.img, cache.img and boot.img from there, but this is not how I revived my phone. I used the 3 button method again when the phone was charged for like half an hour or so and the did the same cold boot trick and I could boot into the force upgrade environment (strangely this still didn't work whitout connecting the usb cable to PC), but it somehow didn't want to read the UPDATE.APP that I had in dload folder on my SD card and wanted to have it from my PC (I just felt it nad there was no indication of it ) so then I installed the DC Phoenix tool and payed 15 euros to be able to inject the complete UPDATE.APP to my bricked phone and the installation went well to 99% and failed, but I rebooted the phone and I could boot normally. Just to make sure I did a factory reset afterwards. Hope this helps.
Cannot get into Bootloader
Hey there!
Essentially as stupid as I am i flashed the Rollback Image at Android 6.0 too, because i wanted to get rid of C900. So now my phone is stuck in the Startup screen too. As mentioned here, I wanted to unlock bootloader again; The Button combination does not work, and if I want to start in bootloader via ADB, it just says "waiting for device"
i am really desperate and i don't know what i should do now
Thanks for the help
EDIT: Somehow managed to got it into Bootloader. At the moment i am unlocking it. Where do i get TWRP and the needed things? Please help, i'm just some noob who doesn't know how it's done
EDIT2: Solved, got Stock Recovery Re-installed, Flashed with the Force Update Method the Main Package of the Rollback (so not the temp rollback data), and worked. But Still C900 and no Google sign-in possible. Someone know how to solve?

Black screen+Only Fastboot+FRP Locked= Hardbrick?

Yesterday i got my Fig-LX1 (L11-C432) back from repair and thought it would be nice to root it now. I did this for my cousine a few weeks ago and thought it would'nt be a problem. I unlocked the bootloader and did all that, but after i used TWRP two times to update and install magisk it refused to turn on, just leaving me with a blank screen and a headache because i googled for quite some time now.
I can use fastboot but even though i used a full firmware to update 9.1.0.142->8.0.0.?->9.1.0.142 and afterwards pushed everything i can over fastboot from that same image, it refuses to work. FRP is locked and bootloader unlocked. I can't get recovery or erecovery going and it doesnt vibrate anymore. I tried dload and HurUpdater but both refused to work.
The only thing i noticed was as I downgraded to 8.0.0 it refused to factory reset because my google account was linked in, otherwise everything was like normal.
Anybody got an idea how to manage this? It would be sad to throw it away after waiting 2 months
Have you tried to boot it into Hisuite's Recovery mode ?
