I have a trouble, in a Galaxy J5 2015 (J500M) that i Try to use the flashlight in videocalls, in Lollipop work but in Marshmallow say "You can not use the flashlight when the camera is being used" making it imposible to turn in on, even going on Nougat Roms, I using now LineageOS 14,1.
Any help? I do not want to use Lollipop just for that. In the Rom i use now, the flashlight icon is Disabled in the videocalls (Is grey and i touch anything is happend).
It's because you are using the camera. Very simple.

Hi
Is somebody knows if its possible to have the flashlight trigger by holding the home button on the lockscreen on a stock touchwiz rom?
Thanks
light
not sure about that but there is an app called galaxy torch you can set as a toggle on the favorite apps setting on the lockscreen
Thanks but i found something else ,its a app called flashlight led genius, while youre on the lockscreen you just have to shake it and it light up.
You can adjust the sensivity,so it wont light up for nothing

I've been using Flashlight for years now, but this one seems to do the same plus the Great idea of just shake the phone to turn it on and off, thanks for the info.

yep, just tried that app. very useful to be able to shake your phone to turn on the led light. thanks for sharing.
its faster than have it set to light on home button, i like it a lot ,touchwiz improve a lot but missing some feature and its a bit laggy.
I dont think im gonna flash a custom rom now, dont want to play with my waranty and loose all touchwiz feature!!

Hi,
Firstly, i have N910F Snapdragon, and running Lollipop v5.0.1, on my device.
I am very happy overall and prefer the lockscreen changes in Lollipop
My suggestion about flashlight you most probably wouldn't prefer but to me its even better than having it on lockscreen.!
If you get a SView cover, the flashlight option is available in SView
window if you swipe to the right ... you have "torch" button
So you don't even have to open device!
Just as good alternative?
good luck
is there anyway to Disable the built-in Pop up notification of lollipop????!
i prefer to use a 3rd party app that does what i really need but can not find any way to cancel the notification of the built in lollipop feature
please help..
Android lollipop has made notifications on lock screen.
But can i disable it for individual app. The Option to turn them off in settings also disables it it from the notification bar.
In my case, it is smart remote. It is on lock screen and pretty annoying.
I am using android 5.0 lollipop SM-N900 dr.ketan's rom

Havent installed Lollipop yet.
But I use AC Display in my Note3 to manage my notifications.. You can Blacklist apps here...
The best thing I loved about the Moto X.

There is a way!
Remember... I´m on a Swedish phone and I don´t know whats the different tabs and apps are called in english.
Settings/Sounds and Notifications/Notifications(at the bottom of the page)... the same place where you set wich content is shown on the lockscreen. There´s a app-list where you can block apps from showing notifications...

Thank you but it also switches the notification off from the noti panel. I want to keep it there just want to turn it off from lock screen
Oh... I missunderstood

No, you can't do that. I have wasted hours, couldn't find anything, because there isn't anything.
PS: There might be an app which does that, but not really into that.
Hello,
I'm new here and I actually just joined like a minute ago just to ask this .
I am using a stock 5.0.1 i9505 but it is rooted. Is it possible to get back the LEDs that light/blink when the screen is off? I actually came from a custom rom that is 5.0.2 and has it. Is it possible to grab it from there?
Or is there some kind of mod to get it without using a third party app like flow or something? Just the LEDs like it was on Kitkat.
Thanks!
There are LED control apps on the Play Store that should do what you want. Try them out.
hmm so it is not possible to extract it from some custom rom or even kitkat roms? how about the pulse notification light in the settings in lollipop roms specifically albe's s6 rom as that was where I came from, is it possible to get it?
btw I actually tried light flow before
Thanks!
Extra question: How can I get the settings app of s6 into an i9505? I tried getting the secsettings and secsettingsprovider in priv-app but did not work.
I'd install Cyanogenmod. It has the LED controls.
In answer to your extra question, I don't believe that's possible. The person to ask would be someone who has ported an S6 ROM to the S4...hint, hint.

I don't see why Samsung would disable the LED notification lights.
Using an app would be a lot simpler than using a mod. Mod can cause various problems.

I don't know if it is a bug from the rom or not because albe95's s6 port has it working and it actually is the pulse instead of the blink from KK.
Now I just saw what is my problem. Cannot activate interruptions while the phone is in mute mode so LEDs does not light up when I receive a message. This only happened after I got Lollipop. Is there any way to fix this? In vibrate and sound modes the LEDs work just fine. I actually made a temporary work around by going into vibrate then sliding all the vibration intensities to zero. Problem is when I want to put my phone in my pocket I have to go to settings and slide them up again. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks!
I took on the OTA 6.0 update a few days ago. My Moto X is not rooted and the boot loader is not unlocked. It is completely stock and on the AT&T network. Before the update I could reliably use the chop method to turn the flashlight on, but after the update I can not get it to activate. I verified the option is on in the "Moto" application, but my wrist now hurts from trying a variety of chopping and shaking motions.
I also don't see a flashlight/torch icon in the the notification pulldown quick settings. It is driving me nuts. Has anyone else seen this after installing the update?
Working fine here.

Works the same as loli for me
Do you have the ability to turn on the flashlight from the quick setting in the notification panel?

I have the same issue as you, but I do have the flashlight icon on the quick settings. Curiously, twist to turn camera on works.
I think I would be ok with the chop not working if I could find a way to turn it on without downloading a 3rd party app.

Did you check through SystemUI tuner if the tile can be added back? If not, have you tried to use Custom Quick Settings app on the PlayStore to manually add the tile back to quick settings?
I rebooted the phone, and now it is there in the notification quick panel and the chop is working. That was driving me crazy.
Thanks for the help everyone.
