Hello,
On my old phone I had an option to put a personalized message on the lockscreen, for example, to call this number if someone find this phone.
Is there a way to do the same on the OP5? I have substratum with a couple of modules but I haven't figure out how to do it.
Use "Lock screen message" in Settings > Security & fingerprint > cogwheel on screen lock

Just got a HTC TyTn and am working my way through it . Previous Treo 650 owner.
First question: How do I turn off what I define as the "mouse click" sound?
Secondly, where can I edit what gets displayed on my Today screen?
Thanks!

for first Q: start > settings > personal > sounds & notifications > remove the tick mark on screen taps
for second Q: start > settings > personal > today > items > remove tick marks on items you do not want to be displayed
hope this helps.

Regarding screen taps - it's already unticked! Still getting clicks when I click on the start menu (etc).
Re: the Today screen, thank you.
For that:
start > settings > personal > sounds & notifications > remove the tick mark on Events.
You might lose other sounds with this also but not things like reminders etc...
Gav.
Is there a way to change our smart cover settings so that when you open the cover you can bypass the lock screen and go straight to your home screen?

Go to Settings > General > Accessory > Uncheck the box where it says Day Note.
You also need to disable the lockscreen. Settings > Device > Lockscreen and set Screen lock to "None"
I recently upgraded to Nougat (not rooted, stock), and double tap to sleep in Nova is officially broken! I have tried many apps from the App store claiming they work (Screen Lock Pro, Screen On/Off etc.) and nothing is giving the functionality I had in MM with double tap to sleep, and unlocking via FingerPrint.
It always asks me for a PIN! What I have found out is that sometimes DTS works (when no notifications come in), when notifications come in, it asks for a PIN again.
I'm so frustrated about not having such a simple feature working, does anyone have any ideas?

go to setting > accessibility > select nova > turn off the switch
restart your device and go to setting > accessibility > select nova > turn ON the switch
there is known issue for Galaxy phones and some gesture input & etc for nova launcher and they provide accessibility service to solve it.
:good:

I've tried all that, it still doesn't work at all
I received the Samsung Galaxy 7 upgrade to 7.0 today. I spent time exploring all settings. I went into accessibility settings and attempted to try some of the options. However, now I am unable to access anything on my phone. There is a voice that identifies whatever I toucj and says it outloud. It will not do anything else, so when I tap on an icon I am basically locked out.
As seen in HFF:
Adds the Face unlock feature, which unlocks the device when the owner's face is recognized. Settings > Security & privacy > Face Unlock Adds the smart lock screen notifications feature, which by default hides the content of notifications on the lock screen. This feature protects your privacy by preventing others from reading your messages. Settings > Security & privacy > Face Unlock > Smart lock screen notifications

Literally ?
Works really well here!
Hi
Currently, when my screen is locked I can pull down the notification bar and enable/disable wi-fi etc. Can I disable this notification panel when its locked?
I'm not talking about "Quick-open Notification Panel" option under home settings. When my phone is locked, i want that to be 100% locked so that others wont be able to enable/disable data/wifi etc etc.
Is it possible?
Settings / lockscreen / lockscreen settings.
You just have to check "lock network and security"
(Something like that, my phone is in french)

Settings -> Lock Screen -> Secure lock settings
Turn "Lock network and security" on.
I'm on Verizon and it is available.

Thanks i see that now and it's already enabled.. but its still not restricting the slide down panel. I locked my phone and now the finger print prompt is there, and i can still slide down the notification panel.. can you give it a try and let me know if its actually working? im talking about when the screen is on, but locked. not standby/always on display mode.
On my G955F, you can still pull down the notification panel, but you can't check or uncheck anything, except the torch.
