I just rooted my exybos variant using magical but the Google stores wont work keep getting google play store has stopped as soon as i try to launch it
Don't know if you have tried clearing cache of play store app. If you have not, then tap and hold your finger on play store shortcut, then tap "App info" on the context menu, then clear cache.

hey all, I'm thinking hard about picking up one of the Fires, but with the recent apps showing everything from apps to latest sites, I'm going to need a way to clear that content. At least the browser history. Don't need to be taking it to work and having co-workers see what my wife was looking up on the internet. Has anyone see how to clear the browser history?
open browser... tap menu, tap settings, tap clear history.
Perfect! Just wanted to make sure that there was an option. Does it clear the websites from the recent activity section of the home screen?
does indeed.

wow! This was my only concern and it seemed like everyone was saying that there was NO way.. I figured this would work but by how people were talking it didnt seem like it. Thanks!
In addition to clearing the history in the Settings menu, you can also clear all cookie data, clear cache, clear form data, and clear passwords.
yesterday i rooted my kindle and installed the android market. however there are some apps that are not shown, for example, angry birds ( the angry birds seasons does show, but the other two doesn't )
i live overseas but use MarketEnabler (the same configuration i have in my nook which currently show all apps)
ï ensured that the lcd density is 160, and also tried the market fix that applied to the nook color (and other tablets):
Choose "Manage Applications" from the list.
Select the "All" tab.
Scroll down to "Market" and select it.
Tap "Force stop".
Tap "Clear cache".
Tap the Back button if you have SoftKeys running, else swipe right to left on the status bar at the bottom of the screen (from the clock to the book icon).
Scroll up to "Google Services Framework" and select it.
Tap "Clear data".
Tap "OK".
Tap "Force stop".
Press the n button to return to your launcher.
Start Market.
At the "An error has occurred" message, tap "OK".
Hold your power button to turn off your NOOK Color from the menu.
Turn your NOOK Color back on and give it a moment to find your WiFi connection.
Start Market again, and the problem is resolved.
but it didnt help
i'm on stock 6.2.1, has anyone had (and solved) this problem
I've noticed random apps missing from the market as well and I am in the US. One example is Google Maps

YOU MUST BE RUNNING CM7!
YOU MUST HAVE ROOT!

Google maps does not show up because the KF does not have the hardware to support its functions.
That doesn't mean you can't side load it, you can, and parts of it will work, but the market only shows you things that you device is listed as capable of.
Has anyone else had problems with the new Google Maps Navigation crashing alot? The best way to crash it is:
- Open Navigation
- Select a recent destination
- Click the Start button (to start navigation).
The screen goes blank then after a few seconds you get the "Unfortunately Google Maps has stopped" message. Happens repeatedly.

Do you mean going into Maps History and deleting each item in turn? (I don't see any other option for clearing the cache/buffer). I didn't really want to delete all of my saved locations.
Or do you mean going to Android apps settings and clearing cache for the Maps app?

Hi. I'm just average user from Malaysia. I would like to share some method on how to reset the Google Experience Launcher or Google Search Launcher IF you sideload it into your Android phone other than Nexus 5.
Some of you may find the launcher bit messed up and want it to be factory reset. And, most probably, some of us would go to the App Info and try to 'Clear Data' the 'Launcher', but the clear data button doesn't appear to be work.
Here are the tips.
Google Experience Launcher is known as Google Search Launcher. This launcher has been integrated with Google Search since KitKat. The perfect answer for this is try to open Google Search app info and push 'Clear Data'. Then, your side loaded GEL is refresh to factory setting.
By doing this, Google Now also been reset and turn off. You might want to turn it back on in settings.
Thank you
Selecting quick launch causes a crash. Any ideas?
I'm having this same exact issue. T-Mobile variant, 9.0.5. Anytime I press quick launch, the settings app crashes.
Did you guys disable the Google play apps (i.e., Play Music, Play Movies)? The default quick launch apps use those apps and it'll force close until you enable them again and you can disable again once your remove them from the quick launch items.
