[Request] FRD-L09 scatter map to use with SP Flash Tool - Honor 8 Guides, News, & Discussion

Recently I've tottaly bricked My FDR-L09 after a format error. I can't get to Recovery or Fastboot either. Searching XDA, I've been suggested to Flash all the firmware again with SP FLASH TOOL, after extracting it from an UPDATE.APP (using HuaweiUpdateExtractor), but SP Flash tools needs a scatter map (a .txt file wich contains the format "mold" for the device) . I can't get this file from my smartphone anymore.
Does anyone have this file? Or Could anyone extract it from a FRD-L09? This Link shows how to do it.
It would be extremely appreciated and thanked!

Bro we cannot use sp tool to huawei devices

Hi,
You can extract them from kdz with this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600575
For TWRP you have the link in the thread http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/g2d802/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.2-g2d802.img
You can use dd command with the bin format, according to @bender_007
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54162238&postcount=944
Just flash aboot.img, boot.img and laf.img
if you prefer, let's call them aboot.bin, boot.bin and laf.bin .
or lets call them aboot, boot, laf or whatever you like
if you want I'll upload a package for you to test..it should fix your download mode but prepare a kdz for flashing.

Thank's for these precisons, and sorry to the OP for this brief OT, but may i ask you if you know if we can flash .bin in fasboot mode too, please ?
By example, in this thread,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595
We need flashing laf.img in fastboot, but the laf extracted by kdz extrator tool is in bin format.
Do we need to change the extension, or can we flash like it is, or should we use a tool to convert it to img format (wich tool in this case) ?
Thank's if you could provide me these details.

I suggest you follow what says @bender_007 about the parts you have to restore, too
It's only a file extension. You can rename laf.img to laf.bin
You don't have to rename it. You can flash it like it is.

phone bricked? Need help!

Hi guys massive android noobie here!
I really hope you guys can help me cause I am desperate!
This is what happened: I tried to manually update my phone B200 to B313. I had no luck with the update.zip so I tried the update.app (superstupid). As you guys might know, this resulted in a bootloop.
I downloaded Huawei firmware extractor and adb. I have two problems on top of a not working phone:
1: when i try to extract my firmware i just get a system.img, no boot.img or the other one you need
2: i managed to unlock my bootloader, but whenever i use adb devices it stays empty, fastboot reboot works though... weird
How do I get my lovely device working again?
Kind regards,
Jurgen
Flash B200 again with 3 button method, should work
Extract zip files and copy update.app on SD card, in dload folder

I tried to do something similar, although I screwed it up even further. Prior to attempting this entire process, I was using GRA-L09 build B171. After attempting to install B317 from B171, I got stuck in a bootloop between the Huawei logo and TWRP. I realized that my mistake was probably because I had TWRP instead of the stock ROM. Therefore, I downloaded the B170 full firmware and extracted the B170 files. I tried to use fastboot to flash boot.img system.img and recovery.img according to bihsik's guide, but fastboot could never recognize my device. So I decided to be "smart" and transfer Boot.img and recovery.img from the B170 firmware to my dload folder on my external sd card on the phone and install them directly from TWRP.
This screwed everything up, and now I'm stuck in Rescue Mode with "Error! Func NO : 11 (recovery image) Error NO : 2 (load failed!)"
I've searched google and XDA forums and have tried the methods here and here but without any luck.
Is there a way to fix my phone?
You can Easily Fix your Device , Just follow the Steps Carefully

Just be Care full in choosing the Firmware , if your firmware doesn't match , then the 3 Button method will stop at 5%.

please I need to remove twrp recovery

I need to remove twrp recovery and install stock recovery image
How I can do this gra ul10
Hello! You would be willing to change the ROM?
Uh oh. This reminds me 1 year ago when I had your same problem . The process is simple:
1. Get the UPDATE.APP file wich is no more than all the stuff for the P8 wich includes the recovery. You should find it on emui.huawei.com
2. To see what's in there you need a tool called "Huawei Update Extractor". Just look for it
3. You do the same process for installing TWRP but with the image file "recovery.img"
And you're done
PS. Do a full backup with TWRP just to be sure. To restore it just reflash TWRP and use the restore function
You could flash the original recovery via fastboot if you have a backup of it as raw image.
Or well what @Rome7643 mentioned works also. I submitted a profile for the gra-l09 for the update extractor.
command is like "fastboot flash recovery <path/to/recovery.img>"
There is recovery and recovery2. One of them comes up when usb is connected one when it is not connected when triggering the recovery boot.

Download the UPDATE.APP from a recent stock rom, use the Huawei Update Extractor, then flash the recovery/recovery2 partition with the recovery.img/recovery2.img.
Like "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" in fastboot mode.
This will only override recovery.
Note that recovery and recovery2 is the same but one triggers only when the usb cable is connected.

Please, next time you should be more careful when downloading the file UPDATE.APP or update.zip ! I guess you downloaded one from Huawei P9, but for sure it's not for Huawei P8 !
After you unpack update.app there should be RECOVERY.img and RECOVERY2.img along with others partitions images.
Good luck !

Semi Bricked Mate 8 :(

Hello hope someone can help please have been trawling forums for a week now without getting anywhere.
I was running nxt-l29c636???? tried to upgrade via app firmware finder, first two I picked just failed then I picked older one thinking I might need to go from android 6 to 7 then to 8
Now it's stuck in a loop.
The firmware I picked looked like it was installing but failed early on 1 or 2 %
I can get to erecovery - does nothing and I've tried copying update.app to SD card and holding three button method but it does nothing.
When I fastboot it and rescue mode my phone status is locked.
Anyone know how I can recover please?
Ideally just want to flash it and if so it'd be great if it was android 8
Thanks for looking

ok so I've been looking all night on internet and trying various things but it seems as my phone is locked I can't use fastboot or adb (it gives command not allowed with fast boot)
but does at least communicate with (fastboot devices)
does this mean I need to root my phone first?
How do I do this please?
unfortunatly huawei no longer support to unlock the bootloader and there is no free method to do this
there is other methods to restore your device and unlock your bootloader but it will cost you money you can try somthing like dc unlocker or you can go to the repair centers

ok so I bought DC Phoenix which is a great program and done online chat too which was very helpful and managed to flash a stock ROM. BUT when it wanted step 2 (the phone to be put in upgrade mode) wasn't sure it was going to do this for me or it wanted me to do this, but either way I cannot get the phone into upgrade mode by holding the volume up and volume down key + power
it just power cycles or keep the huawei logo on the screen and eventually gives options like factory default and wipe cache etc.
Decided to flash it in advanced mode with DC phoenix and it claims successful and doesn't ask for upgrade mode but now booting the phone gives#
Your device has failed verification and may not work properly
(1) Press power key to continue - tried and just reboots to the same
(2) Press Volume Up key up to 3 seconds to enter recovery to restore your device - does nothing
(3) Your device will stop start if there is no operation
Can still boot into Fastboot mode
I'm stuck, anyone can offer help please?
My phone is Asia firmware NXT-L29C636 so I've used stock that claims to be for that region. but I see if DC Phoenix log a mention of Build number: NXT-C900B170
Model: HUAWEI NXT-L29
Is that what DC Phoenix is detecting that's it just now?
