Hi,
I just unlocked the bootloader of my Moto G Plus 4 via adb, and after that I switched it on, it worked fine and I transferred SuperUser.zip into my phone's internal memory, and then tried to flash it through recovery, (following the sleps I read somewhere), since then my phone is not rebooting - it is rebooting into bootloader and I can enter recovery as well, but Im not able to reboot my phone. The device is being detected via adb when it is in recovery mode, but not in bootloader. Is this issue fixable? Please help me fix this.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, I'm not getting the boot animation as well. I press the power key and nothing at all happens.

You got into bootloop, just download the stock ROM and then flash it again, follow any guide over XDA or see YouTube for more help. Flash ROM without locking bootloader will be good.

Yes that is what happen after unlocking Boot loader, just flash the stock ROM using any tutorial over XDA without locking the boot loader and then follow the proper instructions to root your mobile. Rooting is very easy on Android N. So I will say flash android N and then proceed.

First thing, your query doesn't belong to the development thread. It should had been created in "Questions and Answers"
Second thing, if you flash supersu on stock rom it won't boot due some security measures of Moto. Instead flash ElementalX kernel first and then flash supersu.

You can try one thing if you have twrp and your phone is booting into recovery then do this.
Download any custom rom based on Android N, don't go with RR for now as it is not for newbie cause new build has some issue while flashing.
Download the gapps recommend the opengapps Nano package from the opengapps.org.
Place both zip on your sd card and boot into recovery and then wipe everything like, system, dalvik cache, cache, system and then install the both zip, first rom and then install gapps. Then reboot. I hope it will fix the bootloop issue.

What did you mean by your device not being detected in bootloader mode. Did you install the right drivers. Did you install minimal adb and fastboot. Can you do the below steps and tell me the result.
1. Download the drivers from here.
For Windows: http://www.devfiles.co/download/5eEx...ager_2.5.4.exe
2. Download the Minimal ADB and Fastboot = https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120698566
3. Install Minimal ADB and Fastboot = https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=2317790
4. Restart the Moto G4 in fastboot mode. (Bootloader mode)
5. Connect the Phone to the computer.
6. In adb fastboot folder shift+right click and then in the pop up click "open command window here"
7. In the command line type: "fastboot devices"
Seeing your serial number means we know all is good and your phone is connected and you can go on flash the stock firmware. If the serial number is not showing, the drivers are not properly installed.

Try with other pc or change the port for data cable. It seems your system partition got corrupted, also you can mount system partition under twrp and then try to format it.

When in TWRP, go to Mount and see if system is ticked or not. If not, mount the system and wipe it. Then flash the rom again. BTW which TWRP version are you using. From where you get it.

So that is the problem. You have to install TWRP latest version. Version 3.0.2 r4 or higher by shreps will work for you. You can find it here. https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...covery-twrp-3-0-2-r3-moto-g4-g4-plus-t3494337

There's one more problem like I've mentioned previously. I have the latest drivers even then the device is not being detected via adb when in bootloader, but as soon as I boot into recovery, the device shows up on adb after command. How do I flash the recovery if the device doesn't show up in bootloader on adb?
No matter what custom firmware i flash it always is stuck on the boot animation, Ive left it booting for 5 hours today and it never reached the setup screen, just constant booting, I erase EVERYTHING everytime I go to twrp, except for my internal and external storage. Aswell as If i flash/restore my stock rooted and unrooted firmware, it does boot, but NO wifi or data works, even with the removal and reinsertion of the simcard. Please help. If i didnt explain it well enough i can reply and add more detail.

One thing to try is formatting the internal storage to make sure you have a clean start. TWRP wipes /data without wiping userdata by default; to completely wipe the internal storage you have to go into the format data wipe where you must type "yes" to confirm instead of a slider. Sometimes leftover files can cause permissions problems and roms fail to boot. It is more common on other phones than this one, but I've seen some people report your problem before here too.
If you do this, obviously make sure you back up all the files you care about on internal storage to a microSD or off device. Also make sure you have rom/gapps to flash and a working TWRP backup stored on a microSD, or you've verified you can USB copy with MTP or adb push files from a computer to your phone before formatting. Don't find out after wiping and formatting that your computer is missing something it needs to copy files to your phone properly when your phone is booted into TWRP, test it first if you're going this route. Otherwise you could be stuck with a blank phone and nothing to flash on it.
I do this every once in a while just to keep internal storage from getting too cluttered from chronic flashing; just be careful about how you go about it.
Okay, I can try that.

TWRP 3.1 is out. I doubt that's your problem since you're flashing successfully and failing to boot, but updating recovery is something else to check off the list.
Are you on the L or M bootloader? It changed. Just looking for anything that might be causing the trouble.
Code:
getprop ro.bootloader
returns 0xA04C for me, and aicp is working good.

Fastboot says what bootloader version you're on close to the little reclining robot, but I think it displays it a bit differently. A0.4C trailed by a date if I recall correctly.
You could enter that command in TWRP's built-in terminal. I think the terminal is under the Advanced menu. That should get you the same output.

You will more than likely need to format data. This will cause you to loose everything. But that is what you are seeing, those folders, are your data. Just encrypted.
Also make sure you are on the latest version of TWRP. Sometimes the older unsupported version had encryption errors.
Omg this saddens me! So there's no way I am unable to at least retrieve my pictures?

First time entering in twrp after flashing update, I did not get folder to flash magisk, did a reboot and get it, just a bad encryption code I think
Did u flash rom or anything else before getting this problem ?
Yup, I sure did! 4am couldn't sleep so I thought I would finally put a fingerprint mod on; which I have done this before with no issues. For the life of me, I don't remember which mod I tried to install thru Magisk.
My phone is currently stuck on "Phone is starting"
I also think it's time to look into some sort of automatic back up service..... Got any ideas?

Good luck !!
I saw this happen when I used the official TWRP app.
It went away when I used this TWRP. Hope that helps.
I'm glad you already know not to use the MSM tool. Too many people jump straight to this.....
You just need to boot the correct recovery and your data will decrypt, and you will be able to back it up to a PC, then you can reload your ROM via TWRP or Fastboot to get the phone bootable again. So now it's a question of what ROM were you running before. Do you need a recovery with the latest security patch or something older? What TWRP are you running. Try 3.3.1-6 psychen6 linked too first. Boot that image from Fastboot. See if your password/pin will work to decrypt your data.
I recently flashed my 6T to stock from EvolutionX and locked the bootloader, and somehow in the process, it seems my keyboard isn't able to display or type any emojis. The steps I followed are:
HTML:
1. fastboot reboot bootloader
2. fastboot boot twrp
3. flash latest OOS
4. reboot bootloader
5. fastboot boot twrp
6. flash OOS
7. boot system
8. reboot bootloader
9. fastboot oem lock
10. boot system and setup (sign in to google, etc)
Is there any step that I missed, or any way to recover this without rooting/unlocking again?

From the settings menu in the os right? I tried that and it kept asking me to move the upgrade file to the root of the internal storage, like it didn't see it or something
This is a T-Mobile device that has been converted to international fw. Would I use the international 10.3.0 msm file?

Nope, Tmob MSM, international one won't run anyway in your case.

Yes just move it to the root of the internal storage..
And install it..
You will have the reserve partition back..( and working emojis)

You could also just run msmdownloadtool, it will reset the device to full stock. There is a version for 10.3.0, just run it and upgrade.

No luck using the latest official fw from OnePlus website. Is there anything else left to try?

Correct. Flashed using local upgrade from inside the os and still didn't fix it.
Edit: after uninstalling updates for Gboard they returned. Thanks everyone for all the replies!

Problem caused: Factory reset in custom ROM, causing the phone to boot into twrp (even when plug in charger)
Method: refer to post #6 below
Anghirrim_shared_drive (Maintained by Anghirrim)
OP: Tried to perform a factory reset on LOS 14.1, it didn't go as plan. The phone boots into twrp, after I tried to flash LOS 14.1 over MM_rootable. The phone keeps booting into twrp, even though there is a ROM installed.
I assume I messed my boot partition tho?
Did more searching on this issue, from other model of phone also experiencing similar issue. It was a twrp bootloop.
my best bet is to grab a boot.img and flash it.
@Anghirrim sorry to interupt you, but do you have any method for fixing this?
Currently stuck at twrp. even I tried to boot into system/ download mode/ bootloader etc. It just bring me back to twrp. Couldn't use LGUP becoz I can't get into download mode. now I stuck with a phone with only twrp.
Tried flashing MM_flashable and return flashed successfully, but still boot into twrp.
Edit: Tried to plug my phone into a charger, brings me into twrp

Hi, did you try to factory reset it under stock flashable firmware ? Because if you did so, it will bootloop into TWRP trying to reach stock recovery.

Yes there is. Can you first have a look at my Google Drive? I think I uploaded a .txt file with the instructions.

There is a TWRP bootloop fix .txt file on my Gdrive. Can you have a look at it and report if it works?

Phone flashed, still trying out the ROM.
will give an update a week later
@Anghirrim Nice ROM, everything I wanted is included in the rom.
but I have some problem with magisk manager, it wasn't working. (coz I want to get root)
1. How to get twrp
2. and therefore flash magisk manager
Edit: Nah, just have to redo it. Everything was good.
Maybe one day I should port AEX to another phone (cough cough Galaxy S2 cough cough).
