Hi, im new with androids (my last one was a galaxy s2, now i got a s8) i want to know if there is a way to get free vr apps (like when you want a free app and you just search for the .apk) but in this case i dont know how they work, you have to buy the app inside the oculus app is like an in-app-purchase .
Thank you.

Anyone else use this on a daily basis?
I've been using it with my friend for a couple of days now and I really like it, maybe even gives BBM a run for its money.
It's just so simple and does what a IM app is supposed to do.
We should use google talk for like some kinda galaxy s networking support system. Or to find out what latest tips and tricks we using on the fly.
I'm thinking of getting an android phone but noticed that there's no free app to edit office files. Is this true? Because I'm poor and can't afford $10 or so to buy an app. This is a dealbreaker to me. Thanks.
*bump
I would like to know this too. Most of the office suites on android are >$10, which is pretty steep.
No there is not a free one.
Try find documents to go app. Its a paid app but if u try hard to find it in the worldwideweb then u'll lucky to get it for free...

yes, of course i'm aware of that. but i'll try as hard as possible to keep my stuff legal.
It depends on the chosen model. Some Phone come with an office suite. i.e. Samsung i9000 Galaxy S.
How about thinkfree? It's free (have it in my SGS for free...)
Hi,
I have a Mytouch 4g. My son inadvertently 'bought' a full version of one of the preloaded games (asphalt 5).
How do I prevent showing 'paid' apps on Android Market but see all the free ones?
In addition, is there a way to remove/uninstall the 'preloaded' games on it?
It's not easy to buy an app without knowing you are doing it first. If your son can't understand that he is buying an app, maybe you shouldn't give him a smartphone.

First, this. Sage advice. Maybe supervise phone playtime or look into one of the apps that re-themes your phone to "child proof mode". I've seen a few of them, sorry I can't think of the names off hand.

A to your question: removing pre-loaded apps requires root. You can, however, effectively hide them (remove them from your app drawer) by using TitaniumBackup and selecting to "Freeze" the app. You won't even know it exists, and in the case of Asphalt, can delete the extra files off your SD card and only waste the 5 or 6mb the APK eats on the internal memory. This is a much safer method than removing so you don't inadvertently nuke a critical system app without knowing, and you can always undo it easily.
Thanks all. There is an app called kid mode where you can control what your child can/cannot do. Will look into that.

I use "Smart App Protector" to put a password on my Market.
Other than that you can call Tmobile and they can put a lock on your line for ALL downloads that cost money.
Help that helps.
I might make myself look really stupid here but I struggle to use the new market
Al i can seem to get to is either
Top paid apps
Top free apps
Trending apps
Editors choice
Where's the tab to just take to the newest apps?! I don't want to see the same apps all the time!

You can get around that quite easy and get the free app of the day atleast! Glad I didnt miss out on all the popcap daily freebies!
well I've been trying to use the android web market page but it seems whatever I select (and pay for!) They state they will be downloaded to my tablet shortly.......
They never arrive, I then look in the normal market to get my purchase and the don't appear. I've had about 5 apps like that.
Hello everybody, first post here but been a lurker here for the past few weeks with my new s3.
Ever since I moved overseas from the US their has been many limitations of the web, the play store in my country, i dont mean to be mean, is complete $%#@, most of the s3 owners are perverts, the most downloaded app is something about Naked Ladies. Anyway, I have a rooted phone and I really don't want to use any kind of VPN, their slow, unreilable, and make me put on a passcode which I don't want.
If their is any tweak or hack to get the US playstore that would be wonderful to share, plus I have a US credit card and make sure my phone doesn't use my location services.
Thanks for reading (=

Play store should use localization from the firmware, me thinks. Also, checks build.prop.
If you got a international SGS3 one easy solution would be to flash a European (UK could be best for you) firmware and CSC, then setting localisation to UK. Or, you can flash a AOSP firmware which should be location "free" (except for localisation in settings for UI/Keyboard etc). The AOSP/AOKP builds around are still not 100% perfect though, if you care about such things.
Google for market enabler...
it might give you the apps available in the US but not the services like books, music, movies...

If you can, may please post a link of one?
And what if you already have a custom rom?
I used Market enabler but used a VPN to get free scrabble from US play store but uninstalled them after that, but can still see scrabble in account

Market enabler is the way to go. The play store region is determined by a combination of carrier & country code from your SIM + geo-IP.

Here ya go... enjoy. BTW what country are you in?

I'm in China and I have the same problem. Market enabler allows you to SEE the apps from another country but you still can't buy them. So it's a little bit anoying. If you go on Google play from a computer you can see all the apps.
I've bought apps fine with the market enabler.
